    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

dont trust Jodie Pieper/Jungle shadows

I waited seven months for 2 reasons--
FIRST-i would never want to slander anyones buisness or name.some people make mistakes and then try and fix them.both myself and Jody were steamed up after the trade(me for getting burnt,and Jody for my attitude)i figured a cool off period would help,and MABEE,he would come to his senses and make good on our trade.a persons reputation holds very strong in the herp community,the last thing i wanted to do was hurt Jody's name.
second-I've been VERY ill,in and out of the hospital,back and forth to the dr's.for a very long time they had me mis-diagnosed,or just had no clue as to whats wrong with me health wise.i've had other things than just Jody on my mind-BUT I STILL HAVE'NT FORGOTTEN
 
sorry to hear of your health problems.
aside from the animals and all the drama i hate to hear anyone going through health crisis.
my mother is dying a slow death so i understand how that feels.
dont think that i dont like you or have bad feelings towards you. because i dont.
i just have an arugmentative personality and want the truth to come out whatever it is.
besides all of that again im sorry for your pain and of course health comes way before any of this stuff.
i truely hope you feel better soon jay.
 
thanks Kim,that was nice of you..i'm not saying Jody is a "rip off artist"i dont feel that way at all.thats why i did'nt want to bring this up in this way.he was'nt fully honest in the representation of his animals to me(if he would have been i WOULD'NT have trades such high quality herps.i just want our deal to be fair.......Jason Kiper
 
Jay, as someone who has been on both sides of hundreds, perhaps thousands of these deals over my time in this industry, I will say this:
1) you should have more carefully read his info and policies before purcahsing from him. If you had concerns, they needed to be voiced in advance of any deal being made.
2) you have taken a very poor aproach by having the obvious attitude that shows in your posts here. You need to simply state the facts clearly in this type of forum, not get personal and emotional about it. That is hard to do sometimes, but you only weaken your position by "showing your hand" the way you have been doing.
3) The fact that you were trading good quality cb animals for some notoriously poor quality imported species tells me that you are probably not as knowledgable and experienced as you say you are. Did you treat any of these animals for parasites or other health concerns? I buy imported animals on occasion that come in rather rough. I take it upon myself to assume they are untouched and worm and medicate them as needed. Some live and some don't.

It is only my opion, but the longer you pursue this matter on here the worse it makes you look. This is the type of thing that you needed to handle directly with the seller in a much more timely manner. Evan Stahl

In my opinion? For what its worth??  If Jay and Jody BOTH would have covered these three subjects before the deal was started?  I don't think this thread would exist!! Just my opinion!!

Nobody is forgetting but LTC could mean 1 day to 1 year depending on the seller.
 
Good point Bobby. In my opinion when you are buying from importers it is most likely a fresh arrival (if it's a LTC it's probably because they could not sell it, not because they wanted him to establish).

When buying a WC from an importer I would rather have it fresh, so I can start with "personalized attention" right away (treat for parasites, proper, housing, feeding, etc.). Although there are obviously exceptions, the longer the wait under less than ideal conditions (group housing, not clean enough, etc.) the more the immune system of that WC animal will be depressed and the fewer the chances to get him back in good shape.

good points,both of you.i will highly considor that in the future.my downfall was trusting Jody.as its been stated we had SEVERAL e-mail contacts prior to the trade and i was so persistant,makeing sure that they were treated and feeding well,ya,i guess people(some) will say whatever it takes to move out an animal.thanks again
