• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dr. Alan Po ([email protected]) - BAD GUY DO NOT SELL TO HIM

Adrian, your right on target

about USPS and how they handle express mail. We ship overnight daily, and we do NOT ship with a signature required. Which means the box can be dropped off at the door step or office or P/H at the buyers post office. Because we are in the food end of the business, it does not make sense for our cultures to be riding around in a truck all day. Fortunately, we have had almost zero incidents. But here is what we found out about express mail service:

Because of 911, the postal service uses FedEx as their main carrier instead of commercial airlines. There are exceptions, but in actuality the express delivery date can change daily because the flights are limited , especially now with passenger carriers. You will see FedEx boxes at the post office site which was part of the deal between FedEx and the USPS.

So now even though you may think you can get a one day service, can easily turn into a 2 day service. But this does not become completely known until the package is at the counter. What this has done is limited the liability of the post office from returning substantial amounts of monies in the form of refunds for not meeting the overnight expectation. This is the new world we live in. For this kind of service, which incidentally has the worst tracking available has been given the green light for yearly increases in its operation ! JERRY

Dear Sirs,
Your jokes and attacks to the buyer are inappropriate.

This is an idiotic post.
I would never deal with the buyer here, and I am so sorry for the seller that she had to deal with this.

Keep it up. You couldn't follow the simple rules of this site you are no longer going to participate. Just a FYI, the registered email addresses for this user that can't seem to follow the simple rules for posting here and keeps registering more screen names can all be traced back to the buyer in this thread.

I can't believe this clown was stupid enough to try it again!!
Did anyone catch his fake name this time? I'm keeping a list to watch for on other sites.

wow, I can't believe he is still up to his buffoonery. Wouldn't you think that a "Dr." would be more mature than this?

I guess he didn't like the fact that I refuse to respond to his insincere apologies - he says there was nothing that he could do.

Hey guys, I haven't had time to read the entire thread, just skim through it quick. The title caught my attention, because there is a pretty well known reptile vet that goes by Dr. Alan on a lot of gecko forums. He's a trustworthy individual, and has been around for years. I just wanted to make this post here so people can look up a little information on the REAL Dr. Alan so he doesn't look bad.
Here are a couple of links to some of his information to try to clear his name.

Here's a link to a thread that he made about Crested gecko food that shows he does know how to speak english, and knows his stuff!

Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know there IS a GOOD Dr. Alan in the reptile hobby!

Back to the topic at hand:
Deborah, If you have proof of shipping, I'd imagine you will get your money back to you through Paypal once the dispute hits a dead end. If you've provided all of the information to Paypal, there will soon be a dead end where 'Al Po' can't keep going and can't provide substantial information claiming he did not receive his items. It may take awhile ( 1-2 months), but I've had similar issues selling on Ebay, and it seems like it takes FOREVER!.
Good luck with it, and keep us posted on how it turns out!

Just a note here, IF the guy registers and uses his correct REAL FULL NAME, then he will be allowed to post in this forum. But as long as he keeps playing games trying to hide his true identity, then one or more of the moderators are certainly going to delete all those false identities along with anything posted using them.

A word to the wise, fella..........

Oh, and don't bother emailing me again. I am really not interested in hearing your side of the story at all. I certainly am not going to post for you as a proxy.

I too read this whole thread through due to the Dr. Alan in the gecko world. I did come up with a few questions though:

1.) What kind of residence was this shipped to? Could it have been a duplex where the postal employee knocked on the door and the person on the bottom level answered instead of the person on the top? Does that make sense to anyone else, or am I really bad at describing what I mean? I live in the top story of a duplex, and my door to the outside can also be used by my downstairs neighbor. Depending on what she (my neighbor) is doing will depend on whether or not she uses that door. If it is a housing arrangement like this (or in an apartment building) then the postal delivery person may not have realized that it was the "wrong" address.

2.) From the information that we were given, the frogs were delivered on the 9th and returned on the 23rd. What happened in those two weeks? I'm assuming that the box was properly labeled about having live animals in it. What person would accept a package marked live animals and not take care of it. The neighbor did not HAVE to sign for the package, but chose to do so. I would hope that they made the initial, "Hi neighbor; these came for you today" kind of conversation.

If he was telling the truth about sending them back then they should be arriving soon. Let us know if they arrive and in what condition.

Best of luck!

There you have it Progrebnoj, straight from the man himself.
Just get honest and you can come on here and tell your side of the story. You can expect that we are going to scrutinize your every word, and interrogate you like the Komityet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti, but if you are being honest and did no wrong you have the chance to clear your name.

For #2) I wouldn't be surprised if Dr POO placed the frogs he bought at his local petshop in the box he returned to the seller.

If you ever receive the frogs back, keep this in mind.
