    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

The link below is NOT Daniel Heim but is Daniel Rouse. Which I assume from the context left on Daniel Heim's facebook page, and from his contact info, is the same Daniel from Incredible Geckos.

I just really want thank every one who is helping with this. Crested geckos were a project I really wanted to do with my children. We were super excited to have these geckos coming. I realize that it is unlikely that anything will come out of this. But I so appreciate the reptile community getting behind me and helping expose this guy for the thief he is. I only hope no one else gets scammed by him.

I just got off the phone with Dan Heim. He said that the phone used was a company phone as well as the address I shipped to and the computer. He said that an employee had made the deal with me and he had no idea who I was. He said that he is going to make this right. I will post again when this is done.

Thank you to everyone on fauna that helped get to the bottom of this.
 
"An employee" that is very convenient. I would still like him to stop by and chat about it. Hopefully this gets resolved asap.
 
Daniel Heim has agreed to make it right even though he did not know anything about what was going on. Can an administrator remove this thread so it dose not hurt him or his business. The last thing I want to do is hurt someone who knew nothing about what was going on. Thank you
 
These threads do not get removed or are ever deleted. Once a resolution is met, you can post back here and say that he met his end of the bargain.

If all he said is true and an employee actually attempted this scam it still reflects badly on him. At best he hired a theif and con artist. At worst he is the theif. We will find out soon enough.
 
He actually called me back and told me that I had it wrong. It was not an employee. I apoliage for getting that wrong. However it was someone who had access to the buisness phone and building that they were shipped to(also part of the buisness) He knows who this person is and he is going to take care of it. Honestly I don't care who it is as long as its made right I will be happy.
I do believe him. If you think about it why would someone with a good reputation and buisness do something like that.

I wouldn't apologize for anything yet Bob. Mr Heim should be responsible for his own business, his own phone, his own Computer & whatever else was used to scam you. We spoke on through private messages & I told you how i expected this to go & predicted the excuses. The bottom line is Mr Heim has some responsibility in this even if he was not the direct person involved & if his name was not mentioned you would be out cold. Keep us updates on the status.

Mr. Heim, most if not all signs point to you. I understand things do happen but when they land in your lap it's your time stand up & show your true colors. Your welcome to post here & explain your side of story to clear your name. Please also advise on the multiple accounts with different names which is a site no-no.
 
Are you assuming that he has a good reputation and business ? I also thought the address that the package was sent to was his house not the business.

Dan it looks like there was enough time for someone to delete both of our request for explanation in this matter on the facebook page, yet not enough time share there side of the story here & save there "good name". I guess that means there will be one more local business for PA guys like myself to stay clear of at the reptile shows & events, not to mention online shopping.
 
DH geckos had two Facebook accounts as of this morning. DH Reptiles is still up. That's the account that shows Dan and the Martin girl as administrators.

The second Facebook account was "DH.geckos". Was that the account that you, Chris, and you, Dan, both posted to? That particular Facebook account is now gone, though it was up this morning. And not cached, that I can find.

I'm pretty confident I posted on the page that remains up with the admins Danny Heim & Sarah Martin because I remember the "***WORK IN PROGRESS***" in the about section as well as the comment prior to Dan's that still remains requesting availability of female cresties. Just to be certain though i did verify the remaining page also still has the same photo of the package I posted earlier in the album titles "misc. over the years"

The shared IPs seem to tell a slightly different story. This "other" person also happened to have access to 3 of the 4 IPs that Mr. Heim has used to log onto this site. That certainly seems to make it appear that it's more than just someone hopping onto his work's WiFi connection. Also, it'd be a pretty damn ballsy move to have a package sent to an address where you wouldn't normally be there to receive them. If it wasn't him, he definitely needs to choose his friends more wisely.

Yeah, I noticed that. Guess addressing this situation wasn't quite as high of a priority as playing around with his Facebook settings. It's not like he can pretend not to know about the BOI. He has several Fauna accounts and has made at least one BOI post. Not to mention that we both left links to this thread on his wall.

Here's a screenshot of the one that both Chris and I posted to. As I mentioned earlier, someone was playing around with their FB. Where I'd originally thought that someone changed the privacy settings, it now seems as if they disabled that particular page, and it was their other one that I was seeing. I rarely use FB, so I'm not really up on how it all works, but they were definitely doing something.
