    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I may be wrong but I think $600.00 is Grand Larceny, using the internet to steal someones money is internet fraud (Fed offense)
And he cashed and did not deliver goods or a refund using a postal money order (Fed offense). If and when I ever hear from Fred and get a refund I will post to let everyone know, as well if possible I will post any outcomes with the Postal service and the FBI

Good deal man when this is all wrapped please let us know as the info, how you went about filing your complaints with the FBI and postmaster will be invaulable. John do you have Freds new address? If not could one of the two people who received shipments from him last week foward it and what ever else was on the label on?
 
Well, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I just hate the thought of questioning someone about something as personal as the death of a loved one. I can't even believe I'm about to write what I am, but my suspicions have gotten the better of me, and I did some checking on my own.

When all of this got started, and I publically stated that I didn't think we should be delving into Fred's personal grief, I guess that made me his confidant (in his eyes), even though I had never said anything other than Fred was wrong and needed to make things right while he could. Anyway, Fred wrote me a PM that started off like this:

"Darin,

Ill make this simple. Same dad difefrent mother, my dad slept around and porduced another kid. I didnt know him well. HE also had a brother that perished in the crash. I didnt know him either."

Ok, I understand all about complicated family relations (insert your own hillbilly joke here____________), so I was willing to overlook the fact that if what Fred wrote above were true, then the man in question was his half-brother instead of a step-brother like he had been saying. However, terms sometimes get written down in a manner other than what we wanted to say, so I wasn't too suspicious from that alone.

However, what DID make me uneasy about Fred's story was that his half-brother also had a brother (supposedly not related to Fred, or he'd be talking about his TWO lost brothers and a niece), but THAT brother was named Albury too. Well, that didn't seem to fit, but, again, I wasn't wanting to delve into another person's misery, so I let it go as a wierd situation that probably had a wierd explanation.

But, when Fred showed his true character (or lack thereof) from his handling of these recent events, I decided to just read up on what happened in that crash. Fortunately, there was a write-up in USA Today about each of the victims of that tragedy, and the three Alburys were at the top of the list. Here is the link for that:

In that write-up, you'll notice that these Alburys were involved in a family business, and that it was their cousin, Frank Albury, who was lamenting their loss to the family and the community. So I got to thinking, "Maybe I understand the half vs. step brother slip up. Maybe I understand why a non-related, "kind of brother" also has the same name, but how in the world is there a COUSIN with that name, if Fred was only related to one of the killed Albury brothers???" That just makes no earthly sense whatsoever!

So, as I read that little write-up, an old, familiar feeling began to come over me. You know the one where you try to give someone the benefit of the doubt only to realize that you've been completely taken for a ride?!?!? Fred, I am still not comfotable calling you a flat-out liar on this, but man, if there is an explanation for all of this, you NEED to put it up now. If you don't respond in a relatively short amount of time, I'm afraid that I will have no choice but to conclude that you HAVE been lying about the death of a fictional "loved one" for the purposes of putting Landon, Ann, and who knows who else, on hold while you scammed them out of their money!!!! I don't want to believe that you'd be that much of a low-life Fred, as to trade off of other peoples' misery, but you're not leaving me/us much room to conclude otherwise!

Set this straight, and pay what you owe to whom you owe it NOW, Fred!

I thought I should display the post made by Fred that immediately caused doubt in my mind concerning the plane crash. Fred fails to cite any details. He didn't even know the day or what airline. Instead of U.S. Airways, he refers to the airways flight(?). This post was in the midst of some heated dicussions on the Indigo forum. These are Fred's exact words...

After haveing a death in my family, that of my brother less than a week ago on the Airways flight in North Carolina, shipping snakes became rather alow priority, about the only thing that I did snake related was go on this forum, and get bashed by Chris Ken and Steve. If youve bought something from him,that is YOUR business, but the disruption and problems both Steve and Chris have froughton this forum is EVERYONES business who comes here, whether novice or otherwise.
I apologize for speaking for you, though I did not do so directly, not haveing known how you felt. You obviously LIKE these two individuals being here and like what they have to add tothis forum, it seems that others do not. Be that as it may, I thank you for letting me know your true feelings and asure you that in time you will receive your snakes, or perhaps a refund. I have to go now,I have to plan for a funeral.

I don't see the "disruption and problems". What you call disruption and problems, I call opinions and debates made on a public forum. I'm a little fuzzy on what you mean by the term "bashed". No one has resorted to name calling such as you have done(and gotten away with) so many times on this forum. No one has called you a troll or a dreg or told you to crawl under a rock, etc. Is this how "born again" Christians talk? I saw nothing but truth in Steve's post. The fact that you don't agree does not make it a "bashing". I'm sorry to hear of your loss if it is in fact true. I know if I lost a family member the last thing I'd be thinking about is this forum. Hmmmmm. I have to question your priorities. Let's see...post on the forum in this time of "tragedy", or take care of a business transaction involving Dorkdog's money. Perhaps you need time to mull this over...times up! Fullfilling your obligation to Dorkdog should have been your number one priority. Nice try though.
 
In reference to the post about taking payments: Bear in mind that in some legal jurisdictions, accepting a partial payment for a debt owed will cause you to specifically waive your right to file criminal charges against the person whom owes you money. After that, you will only be able to file a civil complaint.

I would like to add that Fred was frolicking around on the KS forums EVERY day from the time of the crash until that post, which was composed on the fifteenth. Fred's demeanor within that time frame never changed. It was business as usual. Darin, don't beat yourself up trying to find a truth that isn't there. I've already done the homework. What more do you need?

In Missouri, taking a partial payment, or even a post-dated check, is recognized as de facto evidence of entering into a payment plan. After that, there is no criminality involved if payments stop, and you have to go into civil court to sue for breach of contract. However, without a written contract in place, that is extremely difficult to accomplish. I'm sure other regions of the country have their own special little problems too . . .so, I'd have to echo what the WebSlave said about taking any partial payments from Fred, or any other untrustworthy person, for that matter.

We all have those family members that we dont know very well and when that time comes(its sad when anyone dies so dont take this out of context) it nots not that huge a loss to us personally but we go to the funeral and what not, as support for those it did effect. Now with that in mind when those people pass, I know I and I would assume most other dont spend weeks putting off all their priorities in life. Last year 4 days prior to the oct, hamburg show My grandfather died. I was closer to him then my own father. On 4days notice I got all my shipments out, took care of all the animals here (over 5000 rats and mice + 200+ snakes) hooped a plane for home, 1200 miles away. Spent thrusday, friday with my family, saturday morning at the Hamburg show(2hrs away), the rest of the day with family at the veiwing and sunday the funeral, monday with family and monday night another plane back home. everyone got there shipments, ya I didnt repond to emails, so for those who it took me a week to repond to I am sorry. Beyond that everything got done. I didnt cry this pity me act "oh sorry but due to a death in the family now its going to take me 14yrs to take care of you". I dont tell that looking for sympathy, my grandfather was a great man who I loved and miss dearly to this day but life goes on. I tell that simply to show that this from Fred is nothing but fabricated lies and bull. He capitalized on someone elses tradgedy, which is abosultly sick. If I ever found out someone used my grandfather the way Fred used these people, well I am not going to go there but you get my drift. This is nothing but bull and lies!

P.S. humm no answer from Sal yet! He must be hiding under the same rock as fred LOL

Sal Thomas, I think thats his last name. Sal is either a real person who defended Fred right or wrong or Freds alter ego. Personally I think Sal is Freds alter ego. I went many rounds with Sal over Fred and his actions. Fred would start crap and dissapear as soon as things got hot because he always had a way of slipping up and making it worse for himself. So after he dug himself in pretty deep a few times he learned to start trouble and run and let Sal pick up the peices because Sal was alot better then Fred was. Sal was the one who always used to post all the raidars crap, he was Freds biggest supporter. So I am just wondering what happened to him after his best pal became a proven theif.
 
There were alot of "Sals" on the I-forum at KS. A few of them right here on page four. Hopefully they'll re-read their posts and my post right in between them.

Postal money orders are for the purchasor's protection and it is my understanding that accepting a postal money order without then sending out the product makes it a federal offense. Because this is an event which crosses state lines, that definitely makes it a federal offense.

In Virginia, anything over $200.00 is a felony. Also, should a person accept any amount of money other than the full amount due, they waive any legal right to collect other than via a civil court. Therefore, I also highly recommend demanding the full amount and not a penny less. If it isn't provided, I'd prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. I don't know about anyone else, but $500+ is a lot of money to me, more than I'd care to write off. If I'm not going to get my money out of someone, I'm going to make sure they pay for it one way or another...and that person doing jail time is a sufficient second runner up in my book.

Hopefully for those ripped off by Fred, everything works out to their benefit. Best of luck to you all, sounds like you're gonna need it.

It has been my sad duty to sit with too many people to count as they watched their loved ones die. No one handles it the same way, and it is very disturbing in any event. What I have learned is that grief is personal, and I can't judge your grief stricken actions by my standard of what I would do in your situation.

However, when Fred offered me information that I NEVER asked him for, and it DID NOT match the facts, or common sense, THAT'S when my buzzer started going off. Maybe a little late, but I've tried to give Fred every chance to clear himself in all of this. I am still trying to keep an open mind, but time is quickly running out on Fred's ever-shrinking window of opportunity here!
 
I am confused...

Two or three time in this 26 page thread, Chris kinnard has mentioned that Fred is African-american.

I don't know Fred personally, I have never met him in person and the most I have spoken with him is either in the forums, a couple of isolated e-mails about a boa of mine, and two or three phone conversations about boas. I have no vested interest in this except to find out if I am in fact crazy... I have seen several pictures of fred online, and he looked overly caucasian to me.

Someone please tell me if I am wrong.

Valid Point! Fred Ill say it again, you can show Chris, Al and myself up very easily. You still got a couple people that are hoping you do, but as Darin said that hope is fading fast. I know the three of us have made our judgements about you! There are alot of other about to make those same judgments.

From what I understand hes half black half white. Thats all beside the point Ive seen Fred and his pity me antics go on for way to long. So unless he was to show photos with his "brother" or what ever and could prove they wernt altered I wouldnt believe a word he said anyway.
