well the animal was listed at 65 grams on hues website . when he arrived here he was at 57 grams ! which is why i had a fecal done that day . if what a few of you are saying is true about false-negatives , then there is no way to tell if it came from alex hue in that condition or not . BEWARE !

I'll tell you what POSER...we all already know you have poor husbandry practices and suck ass. Not to mention I've got a sneaking suspicion that you're in for a very rude awakening here shortly.

Heres my offer, I'll pay for fecal Exams on the other 9 Mack snow males that were purchased legitimately..(considering 3 people have already taken their's to the vet and came back clean)...once every single fecal comes back clean for amoebas.....I see you in court for a very large sum of money ...whatcha think POSER ?

Really simple...we agree right now and I have my attorney(s) come up with a contract that states once every single fecal comes back clean...

1. You publicly admit guilt
2. You forfeit your entire collection of ALL reptiles for euthanisasian
3. You re-imburse and pay any and all attorneys fees
4. You pay damages in the amount of $100,000.00 collectable forever and garnishable ( which I will donate to PIJAC )
5. You stay away from ANY reptiles FOREVER

Its oh so interesting how you quarantined, then didnt quarantine, then e-mailed and called a bunch of people for parasite advice, and claimed your vet was a liar and was just out to make money off of you.

Not to mention that Mack snow you received FROM LUBINSKY was NEVER EVER placed with any other animals here at my facility !

But...if I remember correctly...ahhh yes...LUBINSKY placed him in with his females on the day he received him....and YOU DID THE SAME THING !!!

I think it's time some one stood up for Dan the Fireman. I may take some heat for this, but I think he is being treated unfairly. A lot of us have known Dan for a considerable period of time via KS and now Fauna. We all have an idea of his character, and he has not come across as some crook.

Yes - he did mess up quite badly by getting involved with what now looks like a very questionable personality of Mr. Poe. But Mr Lubinsky has never, ever given us any hints that he is nothing more than a very enthusiastic hobbiest - who spends money on the good stuff and produces good stuff. He has never come across like a man who wants to get into this for the money.

If anything, Dan is guilty of a lack of judgment, period. I say that because I believe him when he says, he just enjoys the hobby and the production. You don't see fancy websites or catchy names - just cool geckos he sells for good deals. Yes, he screwed up - and was esp. thoughtless to Alex Hues. But to start making allegations about the health of his stock or his intentions is pejorative at best and libelous at it's worst.

Does that excuse him - no. I'd say let this shake out a bit - before you start warming the tar and plucking the feathers. Dan's the same man we all knew and liked 2 weeks ago.

A very famous guy who's remembered especially next weekend once said something about stones, if I recall.

I still count Dan the Fireman as one of my leo forum friends. I forgive him.

i was willing to give lubinsky a chance too, but poe is putting this whole amoebe thing not on him and the only other animals that the snow had seen were lubinsky's.

So if lubinksy's animals are clean, Dan has another lawsuit on his hands from another person than alex......

There is no denying that Lubinsky was well aware of the lengths Alex took to be selective regarding the distribution of the mack snows. ANYONE who inquired about them was put through the same 20 billion questions and recieved the same information....

His actions speak for themselves. He showed absolutely no concern for anyone but himself. He told Alex what he wanted to hear, he lied, and by doing this he has literally spit in our faces.

As for Dan Poe, he is a stain on the shorts of humanity. He does not concern me, he does a perfect job destroying himself all on his own.

Unless I'm given reason to believe otherwise, Mr. Lubinsky is now my new personal project. Mark my words Lubinsky, you and me are going to be BEST pals.

look , this was the first and only time i had introduced an animal that soon . my others (the ones from 6 months ago ) are still being watched , are seperate , have not bred .

Remember your recent photo thread called Red Stripe X Reverse Stripe Tremper? If the mother of those hatchlings are from the Reverse Stripe Tremper female you got from me last October, then you would have had to breed her at age 7 months in order to have a clutch hatch by now. I sure hope this isn't the case...

Dan, under the circumstances, couldn't it be possible that the stress alone (from being shipped 2X and multiple breedings within a few days) could have caused this poor gecko to lose weight and have a compromised immune system? This could certainly cause ANY type of parasites to multiply out of control.

Hi Dan, I was at a wedding 2 hrs away yesterday. Got home late. I'll be at work today and post a long one that will hopefully show them that there was no pre-arranged conspiracy to undermine their project. I'd heard that Mack was offering these animals at shows for awhile. I re-read Alex's site and he says he'd make sure he wasn't the first to drop prices. When I ewighed that animal and called him I was thinking I could return it and he'd understand but he sounded VERY pissed. I always like to stick to a deal once I make one. I thought your " morphs for less " was water under the bridge, many people were selling to you. Robin posted something about not selling to you like a month ago but that was like a month ago. You know I like to try to keep everybody happy. I honestly thought Alex would be happy to sell those animals at that price, didn't know so many people would be in on them. You know I don't care for the snows but the thought of a pure white albino with orange pattern is pretty exciting. I'll post the whole timeline on a new thread today - that's all i can do. If you have copies of your payment to me could you email me copies so I can show that you paid after the male was sent. If this big plot was hatched ahead of time wouldn't you have sent payment up front? I told them that we had an agreement for breeding loan before I received him. Why would I even think to say to Alex " I can send him back or sell him " when he sounded so pissed when I called him about the weight. I really didn't know until now that so many people would take those animals at that price, or that there was this big hoarding thing going on. You, Jeremy and many others know that I'll gladly share any of my projects. I love to be able to sell some kid an animal they'd otherwise never be able to afford, makes me feel good. They are absolutely right, though. I should have quarantined. I figure even if there were pins, coccidia, etc. I keep my animals separate and could treat as needed. It's my fault too, should've consulted my "don't sell to Dan Poe" crystal ball. Goin' to work, guess I'll go piss them off some more. ever thought one little hatchling would have so much impact - I still think they're kinda plain, I like color. Thought for sure my RW ws bred, she looks gravid, maybe just fat. I should've consulted my " don't breed tang, wait for snow ' crystal ball also. The one tang dropped just plain tangs. there is nothing you can do in court . for what ?

I have come to the conclusion that I really hate the fact that I share the same oxygen as you. You are beyond all help and hope, not to mention a waste of time. It just takes one to wipe out an entire collection. So, how do you know there are not any cysts around the caging? Dude, really, this is a big deal. It's not like pinworms or hockworms, it's much more difficult and deadly then that. So how old are you and why did you harrass a fellow breeder early in the morning?

Amebiasis

The most common amoeba found is Entamoeba invadens which is highly pathogenic in certain reptile species, while at the same time not causing overt disease in other species. It can have both a high morbidity and a high mortality in captive reptiles.
Reptiles may become infected by this parasite by ingesting food or water that have been contaminated with fecal matter containing the cysts of the amoeba (ie stools from another infected reptile). This parasite has a direct life cycle.

Common Symptoms:

Anorexia
Dehydration
Weight loss.
Ulcerative gastritis and colitis.
Dysentery with blood and mucus.
Liver and kidney problems (abscesses, necrosis and inflammation).
Death
