In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy GIOVANNI GARCIA.....You have to see this !!

The only response I saw from Giovanni Garcia was on Facebook stating that the thread was indeed about him. His response was something like, yes that's me. I will see if I can find it and take a screen shot. This issue is posted all over Facebook so it might take me a few minutes to locate the only response to this issue from Giovanni, which isn't much. But at least he states yes it's him. No defense, no nothing really, which speaks volumes in my eyes.

Charles if you are able to find it, could you post the original ad for the critter please?

Not that it matters but the reason why no one from parrots of the world ever said I forged documents was because I have a relationship with them for over 30 years. They do things for me and for many other special customers and provide services that they do not provide to the regular person off the street. Those documents were 100% true.

And I had no choice but to end up paying his Ransom money anyway.

But anyway.. I really I'm trying not to rehash that. I hope he does comment on this thread. I can tell you now the truth. He was supposed to ship last Tuesday which would arrive by me Wednesday Mourning.. the temperatures those two days where in the higher 40s and I didn't think it would be a problem with ship your reptile. Then he said he could not find a box even though we made the deal a week prior. He asked if it was okay to ship Wednesday to Thursday. Yes I knew the temperatures would be colder. That's why I paid $150 to ship your reptile. I never in a million years imagine that he would put A 4-foot Plus Animal in a 20 inch box with four heating pads directly touching the skin!
I made the Assumption obviously incorrectly that he would ship in at least a semi professional manner. ..
Since he calls himself a reptile breeder!
I also thought that ship your reptile has some standards but I guess they don't and they are simply another way of saying FedEx.
Anyway I paid 400 for the animal and 150 to him for shipping. As it turns out you can see on Facebook he only paid $115 for shipping and told me it was 150 ripping me off another $35. But again the money is not the issue here.
A beautiful animal was stuffed an overheated and believe it or not that sickens me.
I posted here because he says he sells anacondas and pythons and I just want to make sure that this doesn't happen to someone else. I was well aware that the other thread would come up and likely overtake this one as it has..

My $550 already I'm considering gone.

Good night and happy holiday season

I just found the thread with Giovanni's response and took a screenshot on my phone. I will post that in a sec.
Lucille I don't know where the original ad was, I will look though.

I contacted Parrots of the World and asked if they treat sick reptiles, they referred me to a Dr. Marder.View attachment 807958 Dr. Marder has two offices, one in Long Island, about 5 miles east of POTW and another in Manhattan.

I think I need to send Brunner's post around to a few places, maybe the vet board. If this shop, Parrots of the World, was providing vet care without a vet, I'm sure the vet board would want to know.

Ok first of all why would Dr take a pic of a photo copy of the vet bill not of the original, clearly you can see the shadow of his hand and phone. I'd like to see the original. Second how can someone who is not a veterinarian do labs, x-rays, fecals, prescribe antibiotics, etc?
The above is from post 316 on the other thread, detailing X-rays, antibiotics, etc.

I feel the previous thread is relevant. It is not just 'rehashing'. Things went on in that thread that should not have happened.

But with your past of trying to sell off a "dead" tortoise that apparently wasn't dead, who knows if this is the actual monitor that was shipped to you or one that you already had to showcase yet another instance of you receiving a "dead animal".

Good point.

Screen shot from Facebook which is basically the same thread with the info from OP. Only response I've seen from Giovanni.

Charles there are also some screen shot responses from Giovanny in posts 4 and 7 on this thread.

The fact that you paid for shipping does not change the temperatures. Since you acknowledge that you convinced him to ship, why did you not find it relevant to inform him of appropriate shipping temps?

Charles there are also some screen shot responses from Giovanny in posts 4 and 7 on this thread.

Thanks Lucille, I missed that earlier. Honestly after reading I believe three threads on Facebook prior to this one being posted, I wasn't looking to hard.

I only saw one response from Giovanny in post #4 that says " Yes
Derreck, when the agreement is live arrival". I didn't see a response from him in post #7.

Anyway, allow me. OP made a bad guy thread in the Monitor Lizards Classifieds groups. There are additional texts exchanged. I'll post them as well as comment strings.

I hope this is of some assistance.

I feel like there is more to this story from the seller's POV and we're not seeing it. Especially judging by OP's history. I believe this will be another case where both are at fault.

Hi. Just for the record parrots of the world called in a Veterinary friend who did all the work. It was months ago and I don't remember his name and honestly didn't know that I was going to have to. I can guarantee you that if the documents were forged a person who is reputable enough to have a television show and take care of Martha Stewart's animals wood have not only posted here but has taken me to court.

As far as this case goes .... we made the deal a week before he shipped. Then he said he had no box. Then he waited another day and found a box. My understanding ...Maybe incorrectly ..was that ship your reptile keeps the animal in stable temperatures. I also thought that as a reptile shipper they would not except an animal in deplorable packing conditions.

Also when I said he could use any box I thoughy the he would not put it in a box that you would ship a ball python in !!!..with heat packs touching it! Especially since he said he is a breeder and that he ships all the time!
That's why I almost.. and should have in retrospect.. called off the sale when he said after a week that he did not have a box!

Yes if telling him to ship was wrong then I take responsibility for that. I misunderstood SYRs service ..

What I do not take responsibility for is the way he shipped and what he did to this animal. If you look on Facebook you will see that I actually recommended ship your reptile because again I thought they provide stable temperatures. In this case however it was not the temperature that killed the animal. The temperature was exactly 70 degrees in the box when I opened it. I have a picture of my heat gun somewhere that I think I posted on Facebook showing that.
The animal was rotting from being overheated and stuffed in a box. Anyway at this point there's nothing to do.

He will not come forward here because then he will have to reveal his name on fauna..I know it may be hard for you guys to believe but I set myself up for all this ...knowing this would rehash a prior disaster ...just so that you guys are aware of him. I don't even do snakes. Think of me what you want bu this guy is dangerous

Personally at this point I wouldn't touch either party with a ten foot pole. Why would you even be in this hobby if you had no more respect for the life and comfort of a beautiful animal than this? And as far as texts and messages to refund and make this right...there is no making this right. The money involved in the transaction is a much less serious cost than the cruelty suffered by this animal because negligent people were careless with its life.

Without a necropsy you will have an incredibly hard time determining cause or time of death. Being trapped in a hot box overnight would certainly speed up decomp in my opinion. Why haven't you posted the original messages?
