In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The snake was given to a friend of mine, I no longer have the snake. But it is in the care of someone reliable and good with reptiles.

All things considered...I don't think Steve or anyone feels relieved just because you said the snake is in good hands. Your judgement and attitude sucks....even for a pimple faced kid.

And I will apologize the them, I went too fast with thinking it was them.
Now, did anyone go to the Hamburg show? I was told they were at the 3rd isle on the venomous section. Where.. was that?
At this point I don't think you should be looking for any vendor. No one is going to give you a refund based on your husbandry and the fact that you don't even know who sold you the beauty.
Focus on the animals you currently have and stop pursuing compensation from various people that were at the show.

The venomous section starts at the left wall

WHO CARES kid.. you are NOT gonna get a THING back but a big WARNING, SELLER BEWARE stamped to your name.

the fact that you cant even treat mites, shows you know nothing about basic husbandry or care.

Mites can happen to anyone, and does NOT take much to fix it.. Had you even read about how to f-ing treat mites they would have been cleared up within a week, or so.. (there are variables obviously)

not just going on and on and on.

and if you live in a situation where you do not have proper conditions to care for an animal, like a proper quarantine section, then you shouldn't have an animal that needs those specifics. Regardless of how much you want it.

Anywho.. you are never gonna get anything from any seller. ever.

no one is that stupid to think they would have to. You have no proof.. AND DON'T EVEN KNOW who you got it from.

your an ignorant little child.

grow the hell up and quit blaming others.. cuz yes. that is all you do. 3 months later, even if you had a receipt proving who you got it from, no one would do a damn thing..

nor should they.

suck it up, grow up, stop killing innocent animals, and GO THE HELL AWAY .

you are nothing but a little, smelly TROLL..

Your ignorance is not wanted here.

Many good people have offered their help, and all you have done is give them reasons to let people suffer.

you take it all for granted.. you need to be slapped.. have your head pulled out of your ass.. who knows.

but I hope you grow up soon, before you get yourself beat the f* up.. cuz guess what.. thats what happens.. in this thing called the real world.. you piss people off, and you will get your come-upins.

wow...tempers are flaring :ack2:
How many of you people remember back to when you were just starting and had 2-3 (or a few more) animals? Did you have full and separate quarantine setups?...or did you just stick another tank in your room and have another snake?

Now, I am not going to get into all of Paulina's past threads & issues, and she doesn't deserve anything for the beauty snake that died (even if she does figure out who she got it from), but some of this stuff is getting ridiculous. Some of the adults are sounding more and more like middleschool peers.
Ah, what the heck...I love a good rumble, and I don't get to watch wrestling anymore...carry on. I'll crack open a Dr Pepper and enjoy the show.

She has just pushed her share of buttons Harald. We all started some where, but listened to those that knew more, and bettered our care etc. No one is perfect.

Just irritating to see things end this way

Harald,
A lot of people have tried in good faith to help with problems many times to have it go on deaf ears and then get strung around. The beauty snake issue is a perfect example of her asking for help, ignoring it, saying she killed it, then saying it's alive, and now trying to lay the blame on the seller (whoever that may be). You just don't know what to believe from her and it is really getting to people.

:iagree:

Brandi, if you really hate me, why won't you just ignore me or take it to PM?
There IS an ignore button, in case you haven't noticed. It looks like you have a problem with me so just take it somewhere else.

This thread is NOT about paulina.

Start another about her if you want to talk about her.

This thread is about Glades Herps, let's keep on topic.

Can't be bothered to read the whole thread, but if you want a healthy animal, buy something that is captive bred. Imports are always a gamble and of you're not competent with the species and planning a breeding project, there's no reason to ever buy one. IMHO.

Was never told, and never asked. My fault.
It probably was WC.

Isn't that almost all of what Glades does? I have bought and tried to buy stuff for breeding projects before and was told when an animal seemed 'too sick' to be sold at the time.

Sounds to me like you need to do your homework before you buy an exotic animal. I did alot of stupid things at 13, including throwing things together that didn't belong together, and I've killed my share of animals out of trial and error, but at least I read some books.

And eventually stopped killing animals and started being responsible and stopped being a troll..... Someday 10, wait 20 years from now this will all be history.

Herpesnator? That's funny right now.

After having read this whole thread I have to say how sad it is that Glades name will forever be seen as a Bad Guy.

Imagine someone doing a search on their name and finding this thread, but not reading it through completely. All they will see is "Bad Guy" and may choose not to do business from Glade.

If it wasn't for the fact that those who DO choose to read through this find out what a liar little Paulina is, It would be nice if the Admin could somehow tag this thread with some sort of disclaimer to hopefully help Right the wrong that little girl has done to Glade.

just my 2 cents

When I was 13 I made my fair share of mistakes with reptiles but back then information on proper care was MUCH harder to come by. You had crappy TFH books or whatever you could find at the local library, with the flood of information available today it certainly would be much easier to be a 13 year old herp keeper.

IMHO when you go to a show, especially if you are relatively new to the hobby, if you are looking for a quality animal I would avoid the tables where they have 101 different species all for sale. Look for the guy that specializes in just a few species, is somewhat local, has the animals nicely displayed, offers care sheets, business card with contact info., feeding records etc., it may cost a little more (or not) or you may not find what you are looking for that day but in the end you will probably be more satisfied. It definately pays to ask a lot of questions. If there is a species you are really looking for dealing with a private breeder over the internet may actually be preferable to going to a show, there may be a Beauty Snake enthusiast in California that cannot (or chooses not) to attend the Hamburg show but may have awesome animals.
It sound like this snake may not have come from glades but if it did think about what it went through before it got to the show - Glades (for example) is a re-seller, they bought the snake from someone else, it was either shipped (maybe even from another country) to them or delivered, they are located in Florida so they either drove up (usually a 2 day trip to PA) or loaded the animals onto a plane and flew them up, subjecting them to changing temps and lots of rough handling. To get all those animal ready for the show they must have cupped them up in Florida at least a day before they left, so theoretically the snake was living in a small deli cup with no water for 2 - 3 days or more, on bone dry bedding, without a proper heat source, jostled around quite a bit and shipped in cold temps. So you are starting with a stressed animal to begin with, which lowers its resisitance to disease. And with so many animals on their table (and an untold number back at the shop) do you really think they have time to handle or closely examine each one daily? Not to single out Glades but look at their price list http://www.gherp.com/lists.htm Imagine how difficult it would be to properly house, care for, handle and examine all those reptiles daily.

Personally, when I buy something at a show I ASSUME unless otherwise noted by the seller that there is NO GUARANTEE but perhaps vendors need to make this more clear. I understand that once I take on the responsibility of buying a live animal it is totally up to me to do everything possible to make sure that animal survives. The problem lately seems to be that people have gotten so used to stores like WalMart where you can buy something and if it breaks (or you break it) or you just aren't happy with it you can go back, complain enough and you get your money back. Live animals are not like buying a stereo where there is a reasonable expectation that it should work for a certain period, there are too many variables and if everything is not perfect (or even if it is) the fact is animals do get sick and they do die and the person that sold it to you has no control over that.
