Matthew, i wanted to (and asked) for papers, i.e. where the snake was produced etc. I got papers Dan says it was a mess up. They are for another Boa Tim K. sold i was told today from Dan. I i got them. But it says nothing of a Het/albino etc.

If Dan didn't know who the original breeder was, he should have told you that. Or at least he could tell you he'll need to find him since he couldn't remember his name.

As for the papers, he could have just been reworking what he wrote up for the other boa and forgot to delete the sentence with Tim's name. That could also explain why the last few letters of his last name are missing. He tried to delete it but messed up and it got left on the papers.

So all of your snakes get an initial vet visit, except this one? That doesn't make much sense to me. Why not this one? The more animals you have the bigger the risk when you bring in a new one. Plus without the original fecal there is no way you can say, with complete certainty, that the animal had it from the beginning

If I was you I would also get fecals done on all of your other animals as well. Adults can be very tolerant of parasites and can be a source population that can reinfect the baby as well as your other animals.

So i was running on faith that it's was sold healthy as told, and the papers...again my Vet. is out of office, out of state until next week. Yes a vacation for the fourth. The only day he was open was day 2 after the snake arrived. This was a period of no stress and for the snake to settle!

I had no idea he was going out of state for a time...

ALL my animals get exams. Everyone i have had more than one. Except a Retic. he olny had one exam so far. A friend was sick after visiting once, and touched a cage (with rats) not a snake. She held a feeder rat that i got for a friend! I had all my snakes checked for bacteria (salmonella) 6 yrs ago!

They where clean. She wanted me to pay the ED visit. No way. She was holding rats in a box in my garage!!!! People don't touch my snakes, they may bite, i get sued! She was sick from a rat!

These snakes are my family. Not for sale, and not for show. They give me pleasure to take care of them.

So how long have you had the snake? 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks? Seems every time you post your "facts" change to mesh with whatever point you are trying to make at the time. You continue to contradict yourself throughout this entire thread and then get offended and wonder why people are questioning your side of the story.

Yes, please. This animal is very very sick. My Vet. wont be open until Thursday! The 24/7 clinic does not do reptiles well.

Pamela, What is the name and phone number of the vet that you saw today, as well as your regular vets name and phone number. Im sorry to hear that you regular vet has been out of town since the 14th of june and wont be coming back till next week??

No need to see an animal suffer. Went to the animal clinmic today with the snake. The Vet. was very nice and she made a call to a friend i guess who has seen many snakes in Sanford. She did a fecal. The snake has Parasitic Disease. He has been treated and needs a follow up with my herp. Vet on Mon. when they open again.

hmmmm? Is it just me or in your early posts your vet was closed for the fourth of july and coming back on thurs? Now hes been out of town for weeks and wont be back till monday? Which one is it?

Wow you pick at what does not matter to you. Yes, my actual Vet. in the office who sees reptiles is gone and not due back for a time. The office is open as other Vets. (two) will be seeing animals on Thursday i was told when i called. He has been seeing my reptiles for years! Like i said, the snake crashes i will have it put down. Information does change as i find out trying to make arrangements...

Sheesh, i'm not getting into why he is going to be gone either.

What? Stop acting as though i did not know what was going on from the beginning? I thought i did. I thought i had a fins snake with partial papers from the breeder. What do you mean? I had no control over the papers and shipping.

It's been about 4 weeks i had the snake people!!!! It was a tad lethargic, i was due to take the animal in after it relaxed a few days here. My Vet. is out of town/state for reasons, holiday i don't know. The office will open but he sees reptiles.

Read my messages....i want answers! I want to know where this snake came from. I was told i would have that info. And it's wrong info.

If this mystery person has sold snakes before, i want to know if he has had problems with anyone and sickness, sales etc.

I did not get what i thought i was getting! That is what this is about. Ok, the snake is very ill in my home, i want to KNOW who breed it. Dan said he does not know the guys name. They only did a trade, and i was sold a snake without a breeder name....YES that is important to me.
Actually (redundant) the wrong name. Now, it's been a mess since it started, and if this snake would not have gotten sick i would not even have found out valuable information i did so far!!! Tim has been a great person! That's a plus!

Everything else about the transaction was bad.

I did not confuse 2 snakes, i clearly picked by picture the snake i wanted, and asked for history (for lack of a better word) about the snake.

I can confirm Josh is co owner of the company you bought the snake from. Acting like that and not telling him the info he needs to help you is wrong IMO. Josh is also a great person. I think of Josh and Dan as friends. I see them trying to help you in every way they can.

If you want respect give respect. When respect is in a thread it goes so much easier.

I see you call Dan a liar more then once. People here on fauna know I am a very very honest person. And I will say this. Dan and Josh are very honest people.

I would give Josh and Dan the numbers to the vet. as you are blaming them for something and they can not talk to the vet you say you took your snake too.

There was a mix up over info because all the origina info i sent, or thought I sent you was to an unknow person who apparently possed as you on a fake myspace page that has since been deleted. the info in the box is obsolete like I stated on the phone today. I said on the phone if you chose to put the snake down then i cannot help you. if you wait it out and we can try and help the snake and find out what is wrong with it then i infact can help you. My partner josh is requesting the vets name to we can catch up on the info in hopes to rectify what is happening here. Pam would you please send us the info of your reguar vet and also the vet you took the snake to today so we can start the process of finding a solution. We also as i stated earlier will get the info on the breeder for you. Also like I stated earlier, all the snakes I have here are fine as well as snakes other people have at different facilities from the exact same clutch and same guy at the same show within about 5 mintutes of eachother are in pefect health. So i am not sure why we had a private conversation for over an hour on the phone to find a solution and figure out what is wrong with the snake if we are just gong to argue more over this matter with people who are not involved publicly.

Pam, it's not that I am unsympathetic to your plight, I am, however, there are dealers that buy, breed, sell, trade, and import. Thousands of animals are brought in to our country every year and there will be times that the information that you seek will not be available to you. There are also many people that would take advantage of that fact, Dan is not one of them.

I think your vet may find that a little flagyle and or panacure will take care of any problems that your little snake may have. Until then......Happy Independence Day! We should all be rejoicing that we are Americans, not fighting about parasites ........steps off of her soap box for a hot dog.

Next Cleveland show is July 14th. You wont be able to get any information about the breeder, or trader, until then...so I think you should spend time taking care of your snake than worrying so much about getting more information that clearly Josh and Dan cant get until the show. They know the guy by table and face...not name...and will have no way to know until they see him again, or if Greg and John can get the guys name before then.

Dan types up a paper, based on his best knowledge at the time, so Pamela has something to show, if it ever becomes an issue with fish and game.

Snake becomes sick. Now the papers are a big deal for Pamela, when, in fact, the papers have nothing to do with the sick snake.

Like I said, just a hunch, but right now, that's how it looks to me.
