Wow, trying to read the last two pages of her posts were just to damn hard to do. She seems to be a bit off her rocker on this. I dont see why she is dragging this out. If the snakes from the same clutch are fine its her care thats wrong in some way. I dont keep boas, but something seems fishy to her story. It has changed to much of the past few pages. Happy forth all.

This is just getting silly. First, you complain about the "papers" on a $75 normal rtb.
HELLO, there are no papers. Dan's biggest mistake was not telling you that in the first place.

Instead, he tried to accommodate you, on a healthy, normal $75 rtb.

The health problems with the snake may, or may not be your fault. Sometimes stuff happens, and it's no one's fault.

However, your posts reveal you to be a perfect idiot, and I would encourage all to stop throwing coal on the idiot flame.

Um.. I just read thru again..

This caught my attention. She said there is heat at 90, NOT including the UTH. I have seen others, where when over heated, a snake will roll over, be dehydrated, and not eat.

Could this be the simple issue at hand??

AND.. IBD? That is NOT something (to the best of my knowledge) that just ONE of all the babies would have. About a dozen of the babies from the same clutch are owned by others on here, and are doing fine!..

And lastly. Guess what.. Not all breeders keep info on small breeders that they buy or trade from! I sell babies. Have done trades. And guess what. I KNOW some of those people would have no idea who I am. I give my info so they can contact me if any issues occur. But not all people do.

You need to calm down, and really assess the situation. When you buy a normal snake. You don't get paperwork. SOME will give you feed/shed charts. But when dealing at shows, they may not be available.

What is done is done.

Your "warning" on here .. well.. backfired! No one is against them for selling .. They are now against you for going so over the top here.

Time to move on. You have a snake now. Nothing will be done about anything previous.

Worry about your new baby, get him healthy, and MOVE ON.

I may be wrong Brandi, but I read it as the temperatures are in the 80s for ambient temps, and that the UTH makes it a bit warmer. I don't think she was saying that it is 90s without the UTH, I think she was saying that the UTH brings a hotspot to that temp, but that the actual ambiant temps are in a more boa friendly range.

oh.. sorry, then I read that part wrong.. But even then, UTH's do malfunction, and burn snakes. It happened with one of mine. in a matter of hours. I found her, belly up, and found it had gotten too hot.

Thats the ambients Davey. She said the temps weren't the uth temps. The uth temps are slightly warm. Translated : She has no damn idea what her hot spot is and her ambients climb to the high 80s.

Depends on what part your in and how you keep your snakes. Yesterday it hit 90 outside and it hit 100% humidity (huge down pour). Inside it was 76 with 54% RH. My snake room (I keep emeralds) reached about 83.

After reading this thread, I feel the animal's health issues are soley on the buyer's head. IMO, the original breeder is totally out of the picture as the snake has changed hands twice and see no reason why they should be brought into this. What is to be gained from knowing who it is? If it were a case of bloodlines than I could see where that info might be useful. However, given the OP's responses here, I feel she will just bug the heck out of them.

Unless I missed it, the OP still has not answered the question about what was fed and whether it came from her feeder stock. Was it fed live? She did mention that someone might have "gotten sick" from contact with her feeders.

I had a business transaction with chaosreptiles.com Before the transaction i myself asked for papers with the breeder, last meal, and what the baby boa was feeding on f/t or alive. I wanted this information. I was told by www.chaosreptiles.com this information was not a problem i would recieve this document with my purchase. Actually i told my roomate i wanted this info. I had notes and pictures of two snakes, everything seemed ok, except no answer when i called 3 times after i made the transaction.
I chose the normal baby Boa.
The document i am enclosing is the document i recieved with my normal Boa.
As you see my name, Pamela. and a breeders name. The breeder is not an actual person who breeds snakes.

I came here because the snake fell ill. I wanted to know if the name on the papers was on this forum or heard about as a rip off or a good guy.

Then i find out this person on my document that came with my snake is false.

Now as told on the phone yesterday with chaosreptiles i was told there was a mix up in the papers for my snake. I recieved the papers for the Het. Albino Boa that Tim. K. has kept and sold.

Again, please read the document it clearly does not state any information about a Het. Albino Boa.

I was told yesterday that my snake now actually came from a man with a face. No name, no number, no email, no business card. Just a man who no one knows of was at a trade show.

My concern coming here was valid at most. I need to know if the person who traded those snakes, mine being one of them has had bad practices trading or selling reptiles.

Dan of chaosreptiles has called me making accusations about my husbandry practices today. I told him when/if the snake dies it will be shipped back to him.

Also he told me his girlfriend packaged up the snake. The snake was in a very small round plastic cup with a total of 6 airholes on the side. The packing was thick, the snake released feces and condensation was inside the cup. The box was very airtight. Dan said today he does not ship in cups! The snake should not have been shipped in a plastic cup!

Also he says the documents i recieved on this snake don't matter, they are for a Het. Albino. Please look at the document again.

Dan says he will not give me the name of the man he traded the snakes for.

I need help. If anyone knows of this man with no name who goes to the shows please pm me. I only need to know if the breeder has ever sold off ill snakes. I know others here would want to know as well.

Then this mess will be resolved. If he is a good guy, great! If he has shady practices in the past i do need to let others know here on the BOI.

My experience with Dan has been horrid. From the papers promised, to the shipping that he now knows was not right with the snake in a plastic cup with little to no air. And condensation inside the cup.

This explains why the snake may have been drinking alot of water when i first recieved it.

www.chaosreptiles.com did not practice good business with me or the snake (how the snake was shipped which Dan was unaware of).

I rarely post here, but I couldn’t help myself after reading this novel of nonsense. Can someone please add this ladies name to wikepedia under the word "crazy"? Pamela, at no point during your incoherent ramblings did anything you say help your situation. Your approach to resolve your situation did nothing but create more problems. If I were Dan, I would tell you to cease all communication with me regarding this transaction. Instead Dan has offered to help, pending you provide him with some very relevant information. Of course you won't provide it, you either never went to the vet, or a solution to this fiasco would mean you would have to go back to sitting on your couch all day while you snakes pooped liquid everywhere. The majority of the evidence points to the sickness being contracted while in your care. It was completely irrational and libelous of you to bring up IBD. Though you didn’t say “Dan’s animals have IBD”, the post could be easily taken out of context, especially because you write as coherently as a chimp (that might be giving you too much credit).

As for Dan, I respect his honesty in this tread. Instead of trying to dodge bullets and change his story about the paperwork he simply said "I messed up, I'm sorry", that is a rare thing on the BOI. He has attempted to help this wacko even after she has said things that would make a large number of us walk away. Dan, I have never dealt with you in any manner, but I wouldn’t hesitate to do so.

You've been told by no less than 3 people who have purchased animals from this "no named" individual that their animals are doing great. You've been told no less than 3 times that the breeder has been doing shows for quite awhile and that his reputation is solid. What more do you want? A name? After your incoherent rants etc I would be reluctant to give you a name as well.

You want to come on here and cast dispersions, pass any responsibility of this animals welfare to someone else, plant seeds of IBD, issue insults over people who are on Myspace (including yourself!) and for what? The papers you received were not falsified. They were not sent in an effort to mislead. It was a mistake. Plain and simple. If you want a piece of paper stating that what you bought was a normal then give me your address and I will take my CRAYOLA CRAYONS and write one up for you! For the love of God, this is a SIMPLE NORMAL BOA! No papers are needed!

Move on with your life as your doing nothing but showing what a complete fool you're willing to make of yourself and all for nothing! Good grief.

Dan Had a 30 minute phone conversation with pamela today. She continues to refuse information on the vet that allegedly saw her animal because she says that she did not want to be accused of bad husbandry. All the correspondence she is speaking of when she was requesting paperwork (before the snake was purchased) was conducted through a myspace account that is now "fake" according to her. I am the moderator for all of the chaosreptiles.com emails and the first time she emailed any chaos reptiles account was two days ago, meaning either the correspondence she spoke of never happed or she is lying about her myspace account. We are not revealing any information about a third party (the breeder) that was not involved in the transaction. You are not helping us to help you resolve this situation. We are no longer going to help pamela and doing business with her was at best regretful, and we recommend that no other dealer or breeder have anything to do with her.(kairo) If anyone feels that we are out of order with this please tell us, as your oppinions are welcome. We have found that the few days of dealing with pamela has exhausted all of our options. At this point we have to draw a line in the sand and walk away. She has repeatedly called us untruthful, i believe that she is welcome to her opinion. AS you all have seen dan admitted immediately about the incorrect papers. I don't know how she was corresponding with us before and why someone with a fake myspace account would be choosing a snake for her, But nothing about her story is adding up for us. We are sorry you would not let us help you resolve this matter in a civilized way.

I just can not get over this. Now she states it was shipped wrong. This would be somethign I would have stated in the first post......... But I know Syd. She is not a newbie to the herp trade and she knows how to pack an animal.

I am happy to see that everyone is seeing right through the BS of this Pam. Dan and Josh are great people. I would recommend any of their animls to anyone wanting one and I have!

ive got several reptiles off dan and have been nothing but pleased with them all!!! sounds like u should of done reserch on this animal befour u got it and u wouldent have this problem, this is the risk u run when u buy exotic animals on line, and im sure dan would have made this right with u befour u made a huge specticle about it!!!!!
