In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No problem John, just looked like I was being accused of something.

There are a LOT of people that feel ripped off from Rich. Do you have any contact information about how to get a certified letter to him? If you have that many cages running around, you must have an old label or something for his business address you can post for us. No reason not to since you aren'tfronting for him.

Thank you!

Well I guess I can add on here. I bought one 1756 rack and 3 1960 racks from Rich at the Chantilly show in October. He was recomended to me by some friends of his. He seemed like a very nice guy and I liked the racks so I made the purchase. All the racks when I left had all the tubs in the slots. Rich told me that I could pick up the racks when the show was ending Sunday afternoon. I said no problem, took my reciept, then left. Sunday afternoon I went back to pick my racks up. I really just wanted to get in and out. When I arrived to his area he and other people around him leaning on and were eating their lunch on one of my racks that I just purchased. To top it off he was missing 7 or 8 tubs from the rack I had just purchased the day before!! He did refund me for the tubs which is fine, but I expected to pick my racks WITH THE TUBS I purchased. Also I had to wait around for over an hour while he finished his lunch and just walked around. Finally his son was nice enough to help me load the racks in my truck. Not a big fan of the 1756 rack beacuse I've always had heat problems with it. The 1960 racks are great and I do love them...great product. Not bashing Rich, maybe he justs need to be a little bit more professional. This is the address and the phone number I have for him. Hope this help. Thanks.

I sell Herp Enclosures products and have no problem getting them.
How about helping out the people getting screwed by Herp Enclosures?
If you have no problem geting stuff from them, post the contact info you have so others can get their products.

Thank you for the address. I'm sure a LOT of people will be glad that it is posted HERE as a permanent record over the upcoming months.

I have met with Rich on one occassion at the hamburg show, his cages looked to be really nice and sturdy. I was right in the middle of a new construction and was looking for new cages in the upcoming months. Since April I have been trying to reach him to place an order with no luck, his voicemail was always full. Just 2 weeks ago I was finally able to leave a voicemail, but even today have still heard nothing back from him.
I agree that something must be going on in his personal life or at his shop. I hope to run into him at another show and hopefully he will have what I need already there.

my opnion, unless ur taking the racks home that day from the show dont buy them over the phone or order them. right now, if i seen him at the show i wouldnt even want 1 from him, just my money back and go right to Reptile Basics. (they are always at the white plains & hamburg shows)

I agree. I couldn't stomach the idea of giving that guy money until he took care of all the OTHER people he seems to owe cages OR money to FIRST. I don't want to give my money to someone with more talk than respectability.

RBI delivers what they promise, and the variation in RBI racks that I have is MUCH, MUCH less than the variation in the HerpEnclosure racks I'm seen in use, too.

Patrick, you never posted how many racks or how much money was involved.

How much money have you paid and what was it for?

Ed,

i purchased one Elite Series: Adolescent/Adult Racks - Sterilite 1756 w/ underbelly heat, with a detachable kickplate & 2 dividers. when i spoke with Rich he said he doesnt sell it with the tubs anymore and i could get them from Target which i did. i transfered $350 to his wife's email through paypal. i have the receipt to show the transfer made.

I agree that with all that I am now hearing and finding out about Herp Enclosures, I will definitely only purchase what is available at the show, and will not put any money down on anything that I cannot physically take with me. I was to be ordering several of the acrylic displays for my table set-ups and a total of 30 of the 48 X 24 X 12 cages. Combined with what I saw of the cages at Hamburg, along with the fact that I could drive to pick them up, Rich gave me a fair price on the items I wanted, I just cant find him, and may never with the problems he seems to be having. I may go with Jeff Ronne cages if this doesnt work out.

for all those who a have sent $ and have received no rack, what are some of the steps you have taken in getting you $ back. or get justice from Rich stealing our $ !?

wiki.answers.com

What is a certified letter?

A certified letter is guaranteed by the postal service to be delivered to the recipient. A form is filled out at the post office that contains the name of the sender and the person/place where the letter is sent. The sender receives a receipt and can request they be notified when delivery is made. When delivery is made the a person must sign for accepting the mail. The cost is more than ordinary postage, but it gives the sender proof of having sent the material.

Actually the letter is not guaranteed to be delivered to the recipient if it is sent via certfied mail. Anyone who answers the door at the address can sign for the letter if it is not sent via restricted mail, which can only be signed by the recipient or I believe anyone who can produce legal papers of guardianship of said recipient. This method of mailing is also more expensive by several dollars (about 5, I think give or take).

oh ok, got it. has anyone been able to get in contact with him ? im not taking the whole fact of my money gone oh to well !!! ed isnt say anything in regards to getting in contact with him... this is :censored:
