    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Howlin' Gale Dragons

Even after it had been explained exactly what caching was in terms even a 5 year old could understand and how it proved her to be a liar about changing her tos(including the fact she said the update she did was to correct a spelling error that as of a month ago didn't even exist), she still never said a word about it after that.
 
im guessing her second positive vote was from the person she quoted previously [email protected], who as sent me a few EXTREMELY nasty e-mails...one of which i reported to the BD.org moderators, as it pertained to something on that forum, so i found it funny that Emily was the one Nicole decided to quote. If you want I can share them, however they would be mostly bleeped out to avoid a warning...

I don't think she is a web designer .. she said she uses a web template and doesn't know HTML. However, she knows enough to put up no less than 4 or 5 free sites (I provided links to them a page or two back) about bogus horse stables with "borrowed" photos even, so she's full of horse dung. And it does look like she (or another family member) does have a factual site about HG Stables.
 
I actually went out to Nicole's place over the winter in Eden, NY.
I'm pretty sure she doesn't know really anything about Web design because we briefly talked about her website and how she needed a new one, or something along those lines.

She does have a few horses out back of her house, but it's not even close to the facility at HowlinGale's stables.
She also uses dialup internet, so I doubt she knows to much about the internet and cache'.

Anyways, I've read the whole thread and I don't like to take sides but.

This got blown way out of proportion and should have been resolved immediately.
Nicole brought this upon herself.
There was no reason for Nicole to allow her reputation to get tarnished over a minor tailnip, but she did and now has a nice Bad Guy thread about her.
 
I take back what I said about the Howlin Gales Stables in Florida.
It says she's the owner, but she surely does not live in Florida.

I'm sorta confused on that one.

True, she lives in NY. You did not read the bottom of that page (linked above) where she's put a disclaimer .. that particular site and the few others I linked are for some kind of a virual horse sim game. Notice the email address at the site above. Fordgalaxy500 ... the same (except for bluefrog vs. aol) that she uses on all those sim sites. It is hers.

My only point was that she does have some knowledge of web building, even if she doesn't quite understand about cached pages. Not quite as ignorant as she would want us to believe.

The babies on her site are also being marketed as het for trans...
 
Yeah, I'm not really up on my genetics but if only one of the parents is het for trans and the other is not trans at all, wouldn't that mean the babies are pretty much only some percentage het, not flat out het?

Each individual animal either is or is not heterozygous for the trait in question, the percentages are a question of mendelian probability of transmission.

Each of the offspring from a het to non-het pairing has a chance to be heterozygous for the trait in question, just no way of telling which ones are or are not until they're proven out using a pairing that actually produces the trait in question.

And of course, as with all matters of probability, these can't be used as definite numbers over small samples. A 50% het is a coin toss and, given the clutch sizes involved, may or may not follow the probabilities involved. If she were to breed a few hundred thousand from identical pairings, she'd probably be pretty close to regarding mendelian transmission as accurate. A few clutches? May as well just flip coins.

Still, if something is a possible het (meaning, of course that it's unproven, since proving it removes the uncertainty) and being sold as a definite het, that's straight up fraud and theft.

Do you think, given her responses here, that she would actually step up and do the right thing?

Looking at it right now, it seems possible that she just doesn't know what a possible het IS and has been selling possible hets as simply "hets" which is- as I said- fraud.

If it were a mistake born from ignorance and not deliberate misrepresentation then the honest and upstanding thing to do would be to give a full and immediate refund to anyone who has ever purchased an animal from her under the misapplied label of het for a trait.

Somehow I can't really picture her doing the right thing. I have a very low opinion of her grasp of ethics though.

I do know that if I had ever purchased a het from her, I'd be extremely suspicious of the animal in question and righteously irate at her for her labeling practices at this moment though.

If there was something I could do about it...I would, but as you said, whats the point?
Hopefully the posts on here will protect people in the future, she may have said something to me (after I asked) but I doubt that she is saying anything to the people who continue to buy from her. Id love to hear her justification for the fraud...and if I knew how to post the screen capture of her site currently I would, because im sure she will change it as soon as she reads this, like she did last time someone brought up her site. (techies...help?)
