In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Howling gale bearded dragons

Or would it be acceptable to post a link to this B.O.I. thread on her ads?Maybe a mod could let us know?

People do that all the time, and I have seen some mods do it as well...I know this is settled, but I just hate the fact that dumb turds like this woman are not being forced away from here...

I'm not a mod, but I have not seen anyone get in trouble for posting links to BOI threads before. If you do I would recommend doing it with a little discretion and stay away from arguments of any "stalking" type behavior like repeatedly posting it in every add they put up. It tends to make the person posting the links look bad as well.

I don't do it because it is not my job to try to stop people from making stupid mistakes. The tools are here and multiple threads exist. A simple 10 second search and maybe another 15 minutes of reading should provide enough information for potential customers to make their decision.

Look at this add...http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166165..You might have to use google to get the link to work...In her pics in the add,go to the bottom..Look at "sokar"..His pics are on the bottom right, and right on top of each other...You can cleary see in the top pic,he has more color...He is in the exact some position in both pics..She must be photo shopping again.Maybe she shopped his pic cause she was gonna sell him at somepoint..Someone please show this dumbo to the door...

There are alot of people who are not members of the site though, therefore they cant get into the BOI..Granted its free to sign up..I dont think alot of non members even know about the BOI...

Aleria knows how to check pics for photo shop, Thou that pic is definately touched up.It's probally safe to assume that every pic she posts from here on will be questioned.

Nice catch.

Thats the ad I was talking about but I totally missed the Sokar pics.WOW.
I was wondering about the pic of Amaya,so I missed that.
Maybe she shopped the pic to boast how amazing the parents coloring is.

The way the ones in that ad were put together in a collage type thing I'm assuming was done with mspaint like the rest of her pics, so it's just showing that absolutely all exif data has been stripped from all of the pictures.

In the event the ad disappears or the photos of Sokar are either deleted or changed, here's a screenshot of the ad. Yes, the Sokar (X Amaya) does appear to be enhanced to a darker, deeper orange than the bottom shot. I couldn't pull any exif either ... due to the photos being layered into a collage, like Jessica already figured out.

He's probably an awesome looking dragon without being touched up; too bad she's screwed it all up by being unethical.

wow there just is no reason to treat a customer that way... but then again she won't be doing it for long till there is no one left stupid enough to get SCAMMED by this selller.

I don't feel that would be appropriate in this situation - the moderators are not here to serve as personal BOI advisors, or to make warning posts upon request (especially if that post requires special access). Yes, I have taken it upon myself to make such posts in the past...but the situations were very different.

Nicole, please learn some customer service skills...

I cannot intelligently make comments about the photos, or really even about Bearded Dragons in general. Those are areas in which I know very little. But in regards to your customer service skills Nicole, I can offer some advice.

Customer service is a universal skill. It doesn't matter if you're selling Bearded Dragons or John Deere tractors...

Here's an example of the correct way to handle a problem with a customer:

Customer: "I received the Bearded Dragon (tractor, shirt, cologne) that I ordered from you, and I'm not really happy with it. The color (shape, weight, smell, etc.) isn't what I expected.

Customer SERVICE: "I'm sorry that you're not satisfied with your purchase. WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE YOU HAPPY?"

It really is that easy. You have to give you customer something. You must never paint them in a corner. You NEVER say "there's nothing I can do," you say: "WHAT can I do."

Now their response to "What can I do" may be unreasonable, in that case you make a reasonable offer in return. In the case that a mutual agreement cannot be met, you should offer a refund in exchange for returning the "merchandise" (I'm not referring to live animals here, this is a universal example).

This thread is currently 32 pages of bad publicity for you. :shootfoot

It could have all been avoided by asking one simple question: "WHAT CAN I DO MAKE YOU HAPPY?"

And for the love of god girl, please use the dang spell checker... :ack2:

I Agree posting under someones ad isnt right... Its will be added childish stuff on a for sale thread. Bumping it to the top for b.s.

Heres a though. maybe when someone has so many bad guys on the b.o.i. they should have some kinda red flag when they post animals... That way others are alerted that there has been multiple problems or a serious problem in the past that they should be aware of.

Some may think it a good idea some may not like it... and i am sure the ones that dont like it will be the ones that do the crappy business.

Harold, these scammers are screwing people on Fauna. and as a moderator do you think its right people can do that to others, on a site that your work at/on. Your basically letting these people get away with it knowing what they have done or still doing, also your letting it continue when there are no consequences. Is that right? Not everyone can have a sticky post when they do bad buss...

Well I do agree there should be some way to warn all the people who look at the add,I dont think there is alot Harold can do..Maybe starting a petition and showing "webslave" ,can get some kind of action going...As I do agree, bad guy threads dont seem to be enough to stop these people...Banning them,or flagging their add as "buyer beware" might help alot...People who are useless to this site as breeders or scammers, should be dealt with...Its just not fair that this place continues to give them and avenue to screw people over...This site is great..It seems like as times get harder, their are more desperate people out their willing to do wrong..I would hate to see this site get abandoned of good people, cause the scammers and bad breeders like this dingbat dont get punished for their actions and just take over...

I didnt mean for Harold to go into action. But i think this is a good way to keep people from scamming others. And fact is there doing it on Fauna. So shouldnt Fauna be able to punish the ones that come to there site to scam and steal from others. Are these the people you want representing Fauna? Also doesnt sound to good when someone says "i got scammed by a dealer on fauna." Makes you think what kind of people are aloud to sell there animals here. AN with NO punishment for bad actions, they will just continued to do so. Just with a closed thread. WHY would you lock your threads if you have nothing to worry about. just doesnt make sense!!

I dont even mean have (bad guy) next to there name when they post. I think there should be a little red flag in or around the classified post. And you click on the flag and it shows past problems with the seller. (b.o.i. entries more or less). Think its a great heads up for the new people. which seems to be the ones getting scammed most of the time.
