In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy I got ripped off! Lonnie Jacobs or fauna user lancehead1980

wow, that is some official looking veterinary medical record. i know that would not fly in the arizona vet state boards.

good luck

LOL really ??? Does everything have to be typed ? My wife was a vet tech for more then 15 yrs and several do printouts for lab, visit and payment, but handwrite for a general overview when asked to show findings.

Guy shows proof and now that comes under fire. I guess if it was printed then the front would be wrong. WOW

not everything has to be typed, but it needs to be more official than that. i have worked in veterinary emergency/critical care for just a shade under 15 years here in arizona, and that paper would not fly with the vet board or a legal matter (if it came to that)

maybe there is more to the "record" if there is, id post it to without a doubt prove it was taken to a licensed veterinarian.

i wasnt putting him under fire whatsoever, all i said, was that particular piece of paper looked like anybody in the world could have written it.

is it legitimate: maybe, probably, who knows. personally, i like to see vet signatures with specific doses of meds and strengths, etc.

but thats me, im anal and in emergency, everything is recorded

Looks like a script pad we use for meds or to use as Doctor’s note for work. There is a number there call it.

I think this paperwork is legit which doesn't help Mark at all. Mark, where on the paper is there a cofirmation of mbd?

all i see is that the vet suspects a calcium problem. with mbd it could be too much calcium or not enough calcium. so which is it? the vet did not note either or? no they didn't. the vet says calcium is needed. what tests were performed to verify this?

the vet also says "can't rule out infection". what tests were performed to verify there is or is not an infection?

were x-rays taken? if not, why?

if he gives you a refund based on this generic paperwork, he's an idiot.

its noted. ok so where is the x-ray to prove it? you could look at a human that walks bent over and say the samething but, could you diagnose scoliosis just by looking, without performing some kind of test? i should think not.

Uh...no. MBD is calcium DEFICIENCY...Too little calcium/calcium absorption, NOT too much calcium.

While I agree the paperwork is odd, there is a phone number if someone would like to call to verify.

This is a terrible job I did in Paint but this illustrates what I see.

So we have an accusation of insufficient/fake/forged vet paperwork.......what is next, a deniel that it is the same lizard that was sent or the OP somehow caused the injuries? Lonnie, needs to make this right.

I suspect that was simply a note provided by the vet to confirm that the animal was seen...
There is a number there call it.

Actually, the vet shouldn't give information to anybody but the client, or a person specified by the client to receive the information. Random, uninvolved parties - regardless of their good intentions - have no rights to the records...and no vet's office needs to deal with a forum initiated calling campaign. Please don't waste their time.

Its people like this that make buying reptiles on the interned such a scary transaction. I hate when you read situations like this. I don't see how the seller can not make this right. Mark please keep us updated.

I don't know which vet was used to examine but I do know 2 of the vets from Roberts and Wendt have been to North Ridgeville Emergency Animal clinic for training. NREAC is a teaching hospital and have 3 Vet/teachers that specialize in reptiles and Doctor Fox who is world renown in birds and at one time the top reptile vet in greater Cleveland area.

So let me understand this guys, am I really supposed to tell my vet how to do her job? I called the seller upon receiving a unhealthy animal. I submitted pictured to prove the animal isn't healthy as requested. I was asked to take it to the vet and pay more money out of pocket - I did that. WTF more do you want?

If certain people here trust this clown - feel free to continue to give him your money. I personally will not and wanted to let everyone know what I went through.

Mark,

Thanks for sending me the pics and a copy of the letter to my personal e-mail address. Oh wait you posted avevrything on fauna instead of actually sending it to me, thats right. You took the Uro to an vet that does not specialize in reptiles. (I checked) And the vet's notes you posted are a joke. Lets go through everything, shall we?

1) Where in his/her notes does the vet confirm that that the Uro has MBD?

2) As a matter of fact where in the vet's notes does he/she confirm anything?

3) No where in the vet's notes does it say for certain that the Uro has a "severe spinal abnormality".

4) The notes say "cant r/o infection". R/O means Rule Out, which means they did not test for an infection.

5) You had no x-rays taken to confirm anything.

6) All the notes written are simple observations and not 1 confirmed diagnosis.

7) The notes say that the vet "suspects a calcium imbalance". How is that in any way a confirmed diagnosis?

8) I could have been giving her too much or not enough calcium. The vet recomends to start her on calcium without knowing which is the case.

9) It appears the vet wrote down what you wanted her to write down which were generic observations from a vet who wanted to get you in and out and collect your money.

Until I have a clear diagnosis from a vet who specializes in reptiles and performs the necessary tests I will continue my pay-pal dispute with you and certainly not give you a refund.

And please try to deal with this like a man and either call me which I've asked you to do on more than 1 occasion or deal with me directly through e-mail.

Lonnie, There is defiantly some thing wrong with animal and it was not accurately described when you sold it. Why do you expect some one to spend large sums of money to pin point an actual ailment before fixing the issue of selling an animal that was not honestly described?

Even if the vet said, It's 100% calcium problem and animal will be fine after treatment, Why should Mark be forced to keep animal? I know if I bought a Ball Python 100% proven breeder with a tail kink and it wasn't described when I bought it, I'd want my money back.
