In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You don't know how to write your name? Or is it that you can't figure out how to add it to your info over on the left?? Why not just add it to your signature line, go way up to the top of the page and click on User CP and you hopefully will be able to handle it from there..

John, if you can't figure out how to add it to your signature line, you need to type your full name within each post you make on the BOI.

I shall Remind you all that there are three sides to every story. One opinion, another opinion, and the TRUTH. I have worked with Big Daddy several times and i have never had one problem. He has always been straight forward and answered any of my questions. Allen and everyone at Big Daddy Wholesale have acted like a men in every endeavor they come to. Unlike you all, slinging mud as you were a southern republican. To finish I ask readers to read between the lines because somethings are just not adding up!

Jason, First off you need to put your full name to prevent your post from being deleted...... Second, I do see your point about sides,but this all could off been put to rest, if Allen posted some proof that IBD isn't present in his animals, But I would think out of 30,000 plus residences registered here, that there are other people that bought animals from Allen, But only one true case of IBD, At this point nobody really knows what is truth or fiction.Outcast Exotics said:

And I would think "acting like a men" as you put it would include truthfully answering the questions asked of him, making things right with those he screwed over, and not flat out lying to those of us who actually tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not sure if you were inttending on comeing to the BOI to "sling mud" at those that have stated our cases with Allen or not, but I would suggest you read the proof in these pages. Unfortunatly, I was unable to prove IBD as a cause of death for my spider I purchased. Ron was however able to prove his Boa had IBD. If you look at the first post in this thread, you could see that.
My complaint with Allen is the fact that he lied to me about my animal. He said it was feeding and healty and it most certainly was not. I would never have shipped an animal in the condition that Allen shipped me that spider. It never ate on it's own, something Allen said it was doing great for him. It never deficated on it's own, again, something Allen said he had no problem with. His answer was only for me to ship the snake back so he could "get it going again." Sorry, I have compassion for the animals in my care and those that are not in my care. I was fairly certain my spider would have just ended up in a freezer back at Allen's and maybe I would have gotten a replacement. The was he has acted sice I informed him of the problem was nothing more than childish. He basically said, not my problem. Well he was right, it is my problem and I am the one that worries everyday for the safety of my collection and fear that Allen has spread his IBD throughout it. Only time will tell.
Allen is a liar and a thief. Nothing more and nothing less. I don't like using harsh words but to me, he is beaneth me......

I am so so glad to find this thread. We (my wife and i ) have just received a large settlement and my birthday follows Christmas.We have been planning a trip to the next Dixie show to spend alot of money.. obviously I have changed my mind.I have also written down every dealer that has shown the same careless attitude as big daddy's. Are there any shows coming up that are reputable or should i just purchase from the few people that i normally do business with? I am just looking for a wider variety as i now have plenty of money to put into my long standing hobby. -Nicholas Landry

I'm really glad to hear that this thread may have saved you a lot of heartache!
As far as who to buy from...well, I know I personally will be doing VERY limited buying, if any at all, at shows anymore when it comes to boids and pythons. This incident has taught me a lot about the dangers of what could come home with me from a show...and I don't mean overspending on snakes, lol. There are a whole lot of excellent breeders to be found here on Fauna, as well many other places. Best bet is to look for them on the BOI, and if you don't find any information about them, post an inquiry on them. It doesn't seem like there's many inquiries that don't reveal at least some information on a breeder, whether it be good or bad!

Try Newreptiles. The guys does weird stuff with dead deer but had some fantastic snakes. I'd highly recommend Al.
