In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bobby.
Ive had dragons from the States long before I even knew Rob and Vickie. So does most of Canada. What should we do about it? Ive already spoke to our vet. She is checking into testing for us.
Bobby.
Its between you and me right? You've made claims your Tegus don't have AV correct? I also have Tegus and have heard from my vet there is a good chance they have it too. Not the Agama strain but their own. If I find out they have it should I not breed them either?
Would you breed yours if they came back AV positive?
You're calling me a troll. What were you doing to Denise?
Look my number up if you want answers.
Quit trolling me.
I'm right here to answer anything you need to know.
Jim

Is this the one one youre talking about?
Jim.

Are you still asking or did you read it wrong. It says NOT the Agama strain which is what bearded dragons have.

Well once again you have not got much of a clue. Why didn't you say cornsnakes, you said agamas.

Until you can show such proof of this, I do not think you are even close to a clue.

Also, where was it that I called you a troll.

See that is where the accusations start!! Are you still going to import infected dragons?

Bobby,

The guy aint worth your time. It's obvious he is just wanting to argue, and it dont matter with who or about what. The second he broke out bigfoot and aliens it became obvious he just wants to try to drag people down to his level.

You said in the real post:

Not the Agama strain but their own.

Now you change it to:

Are you still asking or did you read it wrong. It says NOT the Agama strain which is what bearded dragons have.
Jim

You never said this in that post at all, it do not say that. Once again doing the twist Jim?

Does anyone smell a troll here? I think I smell one!!

Jim, so you distribute infected animals imported from the United States and Canada knows about it?

Why is it that you would want to spread this killing virus even farther. Oh, I am not worried about all of the others doing it, just you. You are the one here right now, correct?

Thats where. Never compared corn snakes with Tegus or dragons.

Does anyone smell a troll here? I think I smell one!!

So this is proof I called you a troll? If I called you a troll, I would say: JimB is a troll, so I never said you were a troll, did I?

Do you feel like a troll?

In the morning after drinking I do!
Im not understanding why you think that sentence does not make sence?
Jim

Once again, this thread is plummeting into name calling and wild speculation. Bobby, I believe you are honest and your intentions are good, so I'll just throw this out there:

The real questions are (IMHO), how much of a threat/problem the AV actually is, and if significant what should be done to address it?

With peoples' livelihoods on the line, things are bound to get emotional, but all the finger pointing and other crap serves no useful purpose.

You know I think a lot of you as well.

I agree, he, nor the one he works for is worth the effort.

Exactly!! And the answer is that no one knows.

So far, in this thread, one person mentioned that somewhere above 10% of her babies died one year and some were necropsy diagnosed as adenovirus. One other person posted that she believes that some of her smaller babies died from it one year. I haven't seen reports of large scale die-offs though I have not read all of the threads and nasty-grams.

Bobby,

You have swung from one end of the spectrum to the other in this thread. The truth probably lies somewhere in between. Carriers of virus are not necessarily "infected" as in ill, and most BD's with this virus appear to be asymptomatic carriers. It will probably be responsibile for some excess deaths of hatchlings and those will probably be multifactorial (ie viral load/strain plus genetic susceptibility or small size, etc.).

Thats true Jim, they say that humans are exposed to many different types of these viruses, but few have problems because of them.

I must be in the zone somewhere, I was watching a movie and I was not paying attention like I should have.

Jim O, to turn a blind eye on it not being a killer would be wrong as well. I forgot we have two Jims in here.

You said you would answer all questions on here, I have a question for you, that is about your character and integrity too and the ones that make this abortive mess on Denise

You have spread a lie about me that I told someone to kill their dragons after they tested positive. Nothing can be farther from the truth and that lie was used to try to influence others.

Why are you making up or spreading these lies? When Bobby posted
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dragons due to someone giving you the wrong information, I might add without them having any facts.

For those that do not know this, someone told her she needed to euthanize/kill her infected dragons, she took that person's advice. IMO, it is very sad when people like the one that told you to do that makes things up, it also does nothing but hurt us and our hobby.
you responded
Worst thing about this is that person doesn't seem to show up and answer anyones questions. This person is actively reading all of whats going on but never steps up and says anything.
I have heard now that you stated to others it was me you both were talking about. WHY are you spreading this, are you the one making this up? OR who did it come from?

One of the biggest problems with trying to make any progress and brain storm ideas or plans for working within this industry with this virus, has been the made up lies, twisted stories to discredit others and manipulations of things behind the scenes to attack others so information does not get out. A lot of who that is, has been coming out now.

WHERE is this lie coming from?
