Inquiry: Ryan Trude [email protected]

I keep changing my mind back and forth about selling this girl but I really should since I have alot more snakes coming soon and could use the space. Plus, she doesn't fit into any of my projects anymore. She is big, proven and ready to breed right now. Her last 2 litters were 20 babies. She's a great eater and is undeniably pure Hogg. And check out that tail. She does however have a bump/kink in her neck that feels like a long healed injury. It doesn't hinder her at all but she is imperfect so because of that, only asking $265 shipped. Less than I paid for her. Please email me at [email protected] with any questions or for more pics. Thanks alot. Ryan.
Ok I understand Ryan Turning a New Leaf But What concerns me is that she gave birth twice and out of all of these babies, did any of them show this Bump/Kink?? at all if it is genetic, it would showed some where in the 2 clutches unless I'm mistaken

I have to make a comment here. I rarely disagree with anything that Rich does on this site. I thouroughly enjoy my visits here and find it to be an excellent resource. However, I was shocked that Ryan was permitted to re-register here under a new handle and slough off his rather impressive warning points total on his previous identity (pitbullophis). This magical name change allowed him to distance himself from the deplorable antics he demonstrated in that incarnation.

While it may be true that Ryan is attempting to turn himself around, anyone who is considering doing business with him should definitely lend at least some weight to his past actions. We have all seen the fabled "new leaf' before. In all honesty, only time will tell

Well, to be honest, I just don't remember everyone's handle on this site. And yes some do have more then one, for whatever reason they decided to do that. I don't particularly endorse that situation, but then again, I really see no need to go out of my way to ferret out each instance and then accuse such people of engaging in any wrong doing. I'm sure you all can think of as many legitimate reasons as I can why someone would do that. Heck, I have two logon names myself, for what I consider as good reasons, so if you want to burn people at the stake for having multiple logons, I guess you all need to nail me up on that cross as well.

As far as Ryan is concerned, I really don't recall the details of the conversation concerning his payment of the fine and being reinstated here. But obviously I felt that he was complying with the rules I set up concerning satisfying the requirements of being reinstated here. Just as obviously, since his fine included an additional $20 for bypassing the suspension, then he apparently already had two registered user names at that time. Quite likely, I simply asked him to pick which name he wanted to use when being reinstated.

Now, with that all being said and done, I have recently discovered that this latest version of the vBulletin software has added the capability of being able to merge together multiple member names into one. The "destination" name will take all the posts from the "source" name, and the "source" name deleted from the database. However, what this will do concerning the custom coding in this system (warning points, trader ratings, etc.,) I just don't have a clue. It may just delete that history completely, I just don't know. This name merge capability was NOT designed with custom hacks already built into it to handle. But if you all want to risk that and have me merge Ryan's two member names together, then just let me know.

Seriously, are you going to take a poll on a case by case basis? Should there not be a policy with exceptions made on a case by case basis for very good reasons and at your sole discretion?

To Lauren, I totally undersatnd what you mean. I only have about 15 snakes myself. All with the intent of breeding and I prefer them to be in top shape as well. I don't think anyone would choose a defective snake over an A+ one. Basically, I bought her because I had my mind set on an adult female Hogg at the time, I loved the way she looked and Dave was asking a fair pirce. So I accepted the neck thing and bought her. If she has bred for him and in perfect health otherwise, I see no real issue with her "disability". Truly, the only problem it causes is aesthetic. I have talked to Dave multiple times about her breeding activity and everything else. He has told me over and over that the babies were healthy, everything else all normal. My theory (this is just my own THEORY) is that she may have been injured at some time in her life, who knows when, who knows how. Dropped, escape attempt, something fell/dropped on her....etc. But that is the way she is. That's how I got her, that's how Dave got her. I knew if I ever tried to resell her I would have to deal with that and that's fine. If someone else wants to share in the way I felt and take her, maybe decide not to even breed her, just as a pet, great. If not, no problem. All I can do is disclose what I know. But I paid $300 for her when she was underwieght, I have since gotten her looking great and put alot of time and care into her and am offering her for less than I originally paid. I don't know how much more fair I can be. I'm not gonna just give her away. Hell, if nobody else wants to have her, I'll breed her myself like I originally intended. She's more than able. Anyway, don't mean to make this all about one animal.

As far as multiple logon names, I really couldn't care less about that. If I could even remember my logon info, I would use my old name if I had to. It's probably blocked though. I had no bad intentions when making a new logon either. That's always my story, ain't it? I have no problem "owning up" to things in the past. Cause uh, I still never did do anything wrong. A few years ago, I was in an extremely unstable position. I made a trade. It got complicated. It ended up on here. I got pissed. More than a year ago, I made some seemingly bad decisions that were taken completely out of context and blown way out of proportion by people it had nothing to do with. It ended up on here. I got pissed. I never in my life ripped anyone off or intended to. I just reacted when people pointed their finger at me. I do have a rather "Toxic" personality/mentality. So that's how I handled it. That's the way I am. That probably will never change. I hope it doesn't. I know many people that are the same way and I respect them for it. But I have learned that that's not gonna get me anywhere in this aspect of life (the almighty BOI) so I won't present myself that way on here anymore. No big deal. This stuff is supposed to be fun. My snakes bring me more contentment and sanctuary than almost anything else in my life. Getting all pissed just makes things worse and makes me look like I have a reason to even be pissed off. it's all very confusing people, but what shall we do? I'm sick of rambling. Later.

Your call 100% Rich but the reason you have two logons is to differentiate between your individual persona and your Webslave / Moderator status. My personal feelings are that someone should not be able to appear to be an upstanding member of this board with a clean rep and no warning points by simply creating a new identity. Ryan spent a fair amount of time on this board in the past indulging in questionable transactions and acting like an all round ass. He garnered up 44 warning points in that period. By my way of thinking...he earned them...he should have to keep them.

I personally think that multiple identities on this board should be expressly forbidden with the only exception you Rich.

Just my opinion.

OK, it's my call? But, if by combining Ryan's multiple logon names, the warning points on one of them gets lost in this process, you are OK with this result? That would be better then leaving well enough alone and allowing a person with the ability to do so to be able to research to find that other logon name and then see that history that exists now?

I just want to make certain you are CLEAR on what could possibly happen. I really don't know.

If multiple login names are cool, then I want to go with Willowman, with ZERO warning points.

What say you all? Yea or nay?

"John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmitt....His name, is my name tooooo"

Sorry, couldn't resist. Every time I see that name, that little song pops into my head. Ahhh, takes me back to first grade music class. Thanks for the memories Johnny. Have a good one.

I personally Think everbody should stop changing their Gosh Darn Names .....But If thats going to be the case I say Yay to wes changing his

WS, not to cause you anymore grief, but couldn't you just change the pitbullophis name to his new one? His current incarnation doesn't have any points for trader rating, warnings, and the rep points are close to neutral so nothing would be "lost" from doing it that way. As opposed to trying to bring all the info to this one. Don't know how it works, so just something I was thinking about.

Changing a registered name simply to be a smart ass is NOT an acceptable reason. :raspberry

Why Rich, if I were capable of it, I would be SOOOO offended right now. To think, that YOU would think that I, of ALL people, would do something JUST to be a smartass.

Woe is me, sniff sniff.

LOL

I myself had/have two login names. I had an individual who would follow me from forum to forum PMing me incessantly (I got kind of creeped out after a while!), so I made that other user name (not with my own name BTW) so I could come here and read without being bothered/pestered/stalked by this person. I think I only posted about four times as that login.

When we went to pay service to post here, I decided since I was going to be breeding this year and utilizing this venue to sell the offpring I had better come up with a "catchy" login Business name and I did pony up and put my "real" name- not the one on my birth certicate but the one everyone knows me by- on this account.

To me that is a very valid reason for one to have more than one login name.

It says a lot and affirms trust in Webslave/Rich that any of us feel confident enough to place our "real" personal information here for all to see. If I didn't trust the people here (for the most part) and trust the person running this website, I would not have done so.

If that is what is at risk, then no, I don't think you should. My point is that his original persona should have been re-activated once he paid his fine. Any and all spurious incarnations that were created simply to either bypass his suspensions or distabce himself from his accountability for past shady behaviour should have been immediately eradicated.

As an example, any of the other truly despicable scumbags who have gotten the boot in the past can simply re-register and start with a deceptively clean slate. I don't relish the thought of the bottom feeders having that option.

Once again....just my opinion.

Maggie I understand the situation you are describing but it still does not justify someone having two identities on a site of this sort. Another solution would have been an Email to the Webslave explaining your rather unique situation and requesting that your handle be changed. This would have given you the same result.

Again, I see no reason why anyone should have the priveledge of the anonymity that would come with multiple screen identities here.

My, oh my Johnny, you sure do have a bug up your butt about the whole single logon thing huh? What did that extra logon do to you? You'd think it came and stole your baby in the middle of the night. Jeesh!

Anyway, you said my "shady behavior", could you do me a favor and jog my memory by telling me what I ever did that was "shady"? I'm just curious. I know I was a real @_ _ hole and verbally abusive, and well ya know, all that. But I don't remember ever being a shady sheister type. :>poke2<:

"........his name is my name tooooo......"

John,

Since this individual followed me to multiple forums requesting any help from Webslave would have been moot at best. If I wanted relax and just browse what business is it of anyone's what I chose(past tense) to call myself? I have two e-mail addys also. One for business and one for personal use. Choosing to be anonymous in relative safety is a right we all have even here.

Have you ever had someone follow you, either in person or on the internet? It is not a very comfortable feeling. First it's kind of "Okay, this is kinda weird, but they are nice enough." after three or four forums it made my skin crawl.

Since this is also a moot point as if I hadn't "fessed up" you wouldn't have known anyway, I'll leave you with the thought about walking a mile in another's shoes. Having my very own personal stalker wasn't my cup of joe. I'll leave the judge and jury stuff for those that get paid for it.

I'm not trying to be rude, just giving you a new scenario. If that makes me a "bad" person, so be it. If a simple name change wasn't enough to lose this individual I would have notified apropriate authorities. That was not necessary.

Uh, not really. Not a right, and not entirely true.
You can post "anonomously" on the forums, but technically to post on the BOI, you are supposed to use your real name. Do some people fabricate real names? Most likely, but most of the people who have legitimate business' use their real names. I can understand in this day and age of identity theft, stalking etc., why some would not want to use their real names, but then they are free to choose whether they want to post on the BOI or not, or use the internet (as a whole) for their business endeavors. The internet is my primary source of business, so I use my real name. Plus by using my real name on the internet, I'm able to "tie" it in to my other methods, ie. Reptile Expos, Pet Stores, etc. otherwise, one would have to explain.......Well, my website is a different name, but it is really me, seriously.

BTW, by forums I mean websites with forums. I belong to several different sites and- boom- he/she/it would show up on each and every one of them wanting ostensibly to gab whilst I was trying to read.

I guess since I told the idiot I didn't use yahoo or aim they felt "Hey, I'll just PM the heck out of them on each forum/website they go to. What a grand idea!" <---Creepy :bolt01:

If it happens again I'll just have Webslave sick Wes on them!
