In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

When I first had some concerns about a refund I had not yet received, I checked here and everything looked fine. I come back tonight, about a month later, and there are so many posts that I can't even read them all. As best I can tell, he's still not paid any refunds. I attempted to go through Paypal, but they refused to do anything because he'd shipped part of the order so they felt it was more of a civil issue that I wasn't happy with the order... not that I was being ripped off.

Just like several other people, I've been ignored for the most part and told I will get a refund on several occasions. I was told I'd get a refund via Paypal last Wednesday and, needless to say, it didn't happen. Fortunately he's only into me for $217.50... but it's money I needed to pay a legitimate supplier for stock I actually received.

For the record, I had about $85 in DOA's and the rest was stock I had purchased that was not shipped. Perhaps he got in over his head, but he should have stepped up and met his obligations.

Join the club.....send me a PM with your email. There are 6 of us now joining together to make sure he at least pays for doing this.

Seems like the list continues to grow

I get the feeling there are probably more people who are still holding out hope that a guy that had a pretty decent rep is still going to come through.I.like others try to find every way to resolve these kind of issues before it gets here.Once here, always here.

I did exactly that for over a month, asking just for good pics of the animals so that I could see he had them.....guess that was impossible in this case. I'm glad I did come here because at least now we can all combine our efforts.

Well it appears Botar has placed a similar post in the Breeder/Sellers Warning section in the Arachnoboards.I'm sure that will stay up there because it is relevant to their terms they have there regarding these types of posts. He is also from what I gather pretty prominent in that community.

Ok, as I promised from the beginning, I would post this and let everyone know as soon as it happened. After I sent Justyn a rather lengthy email last night he did refund my money in full through an alternate paypal account early this morning.
My situation with him is resolved, but, as I just finished typing to him in an email, I will still be around to see to it that the others are paid as well.

I remember saying on another forum if he paid anyone, it would be you. Honestly I had given up on that theory, lol, but glad to hear it. Really hope he does the right thing though, all b.s. aside. Man up Justyn and things will get better for you again. You made a little bump in the road a big one, but these people in the herp community seem to have the patience of rocks, so oblige them by doing the right thing. Everything's good after that  .

It ain't over till it's over!

This may be more prominent in my mind because I'm one of the other people who sent Justyn money, but, it ain't over till it's over.
I haven't heard from him in approx 2 weeks. I am very glad a start has been made, but let's get a head count and see if anyone else has been paid or has reason to believe they're about to be.
I certainly believe it is very positive that Justyn has paid Eric back the money that Eric sent to him. (I realize I made that pretty wordy, but I want to emphasize that we sent Justyn money we earned, and he took it without giving us anything for it, so there is no generosity in Justyn repaying any of us.) I can rattle off three people who are still owed over $2000 combined, and I understand there are a few others. So it is great that Eric has gotten his money back, but Justyn still has other people's money to return to them. Until that has happened, I will hold off on giving a thumbs up about the situation.

The thumbs up wasn't really to praise the guy, just saying keep paying debts and it'll be a thumbs up, at least for finally paying people, not that it will change how the whole thing was handled. I personally think you will have to pack a lunch for the wait on any more refunds. But I hope you get your money back for sure. :yesnod:

I agree, the situation is far from over and Justyn still has a way to go before he's in the clear. I told other's besides Justyn that when/if he did pay me back I would post it right away.

So how about it Justyn, get these other guys paid back and tie up all the lose ends.

He offered up livestock as opposed to refund and I decided to take it. It was what I wanted in the first place and since he seems to be a bit low on funds at the moment, I thought it was the more prudent thing to do. I just asked that he include a couple of extras to make up for the possibility of any DOA's so we can end it here and cut away clean. I received a tracking number from Fed Ex, so we'll just have to wait and see what is in the box tomorrow when it arrives. I'll post here once the box has been received.

Thats an infection waiting to happen...
Stitching up a dirty wound with dirty hands is not the proper way to go about things but I gotta hand it to him, using the stitch kit from your Rambo knife if pretty ballzy...

hahahahaha!
Thats not a sloth injury.
Two-toed sloths main defense is their bite, which would be a deep puncture from their canines.
Thats not EVEN a slash from their claws .
hahahahahaha
Yep, infection incubating! Where are the latex gloves?
hahahahahahaha.
Clean those fingernails Keith!

I believe that those are supposed to be Justyn's fingernails. They look just like the ones Justyn posted with the pic of his alleged Echis bite earlier in this thread.

What so Funny?.....HaHa

:dgrin: As strange as it may be that is in fact a Sloth bite? And those's hands are Justyns'... Randall Berry how many Sloth bites have your had the opportunity
to Examine????? Hahaha.....Now that is some funny stuff.... Ask Justyn about
those pics......Haha....Happened at 3 o'clock in the morning....Said he will not
swing in the rafters with the apes anymore....HahaHa....Damn

I haven't had any Sloth bites Keith.
However, I have worked daily with Two-toed Sloths in 2 different zoo's for a period of about 11 years.(combined) (Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin, Tx. and at the Little Rock Zoo) Fed, and cleaned up after them 5 days a week. Also, caught them up for Vet Exams, had to restrain them for procedures, etc. Those pictures do not look like a Sloth bite.
How about Justyn coming in here and saying that? I thought he worked herps at the Ft. Worth Zoo?

Whats your experience with sloths Keith?

Randal

Awww come on now all you non-believers. I was informed today by Justyn that he has been "in the business" since 1995 at the ripe age of 11 and started importing reptiles and tropical fish at 12 and mammals at the age of 15 including tiger cubs.
I'm sure he squeezed in Medical School in there somewhere as well.

He really didnt tell you that did he ???? I mean,I see that there has been alot of speculation about some of his claims, but that's "un bahbeebublo" as my 4 year old would say.
