Please pay close attention to the Webslaves own reservations about how appropriate some of the postings of one of the moderators is, and the perception it could leave with other members of this site.

If you look at the times involved, Jay made his post, about an hour (little over) later Rich noted that it might be a little iffy and twenty minutes (All numbers rounded to convenience) after that Jay announced that it had already been edited to remove the offensive material. While it may have been a ninety minute lapse in potential judgement (Really, is "crybaby" against the spirit of the TOS?) it was not viewed by many IF any (given the time of day) outside of the moderation team and none of them chose to comment on it in the thread itself if anyone did. The only actual insults (so SO mild... I really have called people far worse for far FAR less) were in a thread in a forum Alan was not supposed to be able to view.

And yes... Alan acted out of anger and frustration at a few situations that didn't got he way he wanted them to but I don't really see this as an excuse. If the BOI has taught us (a collective us) anything, it's that the true worth of a person is not known UNTIL they have a problem or are faced with a frustrating situation. People who are good guys for years without incident shouldn't be excused when they turn into bad guys the first time a chance presents itself.

Point taken, and I truly understand where you are coming from. I was attempting to answer the question you posed where was anything that could be perceived as a wrong commited by the moderation team of Fauna. Personally, I am in agreement with your observation that the conversation was not that bad, but then again some people have thinner skin than others.

You know...it's really a shame. It's amazing what can happen when people see $$ signs. I've seen it happen enough to know. Alan...you've been a member here for quite some time, posting to the "horrors" of people's experiences...bashing those that have done wrong, acting almost as a higher power looking down on people. And all along you've been using this "secret window" of knowledge to change things...only for the sole purpose of you gaining something from it. I can't say it shocks me completely...just opens the door up to show people how greedy you really are and how you will step on anyone you can to help you reach the top.

Well first this came to light this month hasent been a ongoing thing , secondly if you check my record i have NEVER stole , lied,made up stories,said it was shipped when it wasnt had to have someone else answer questions posed for me and stolen thousands of dollars from people and sent out sick dying animals and then have the balls to act like it wasnt anything wrong with it and then lie about paying them back? ill let you smoke on that have a good night

Wes is IMHO one of the wisest persons on this board. Go back and re read his post. When I considered it, his point that there are indeed others that have been evil and obnoxious for a long time, and Alan is not comparable, is right.
Alan really blew it, but Wes and Carson are right, we are spinning this out to everyone's detriment.
We do give others the chance to redeem themselves, and as sad as I feel about what happened, perhaps we should back off and see what Alan does with this situation.
I think Rich has the power to ban Alan, and the very fact that Alan has the privilege to continue posting here may mean that Rich sees a possibility of redemption; I think I will wait, and see.....

I would be upset as this site provides a very important service and Rich is kind enough to provide it for free. With the BOI gone all the scam artists would have a field day, this site does keep them in check somewhat. Still some are either too stupid or just don't care what is said about their bad business practices.

Do you mean to tell me that if Alan made an effort to try to get you thrown into bankruptcy court and have you lose everything you have worked for, you would just say "oh well, he is really not that bad of a guy. The whole point of that posted email is answered with the simple question: "Why did Alan Hall call Jeffie about that information and what did Alan hope Jeffie would do with it when he got it?"

What wrong was inflicted on Alan Hall that would justify such an action???

And Wes, as for your question of why I come to this site and what do I contribute, read my threads. Then think about what I have said. Perhaps the answer will come to you in time.

What would have been the harm in merely forwarding that email to Rich Z.? Mr. Hall obtained his information due to a mistake. Unless I am mistaken you received that email due to a mistake. At that point in time, all information gleaned was behind the scenes. What would have been the harm in keeping discussion in the realm of privacy, as opposed to posting it for public consumption?

Additionally, I believe your attempts at painting Mr. Pollock as a troll, in regards to this particular thread, are somewhat unfounded. He is just expressing his opinion and his view of how he perceives things are progessing in this thread. Are you possibly threatened that Mr. Pollock is stealing the thunder from your "scoop"? Just curious.

Typical BOI responses. Attempt to kill the messenger. And for what reason??? Alan has admitted he wrote that email so the credibility of the person posting it is not an issue. But certain people still want to deflect attention away from the central issue. Others want to take this as an opportunity to attack yet someone else.

I have said it before and will say it again, sooner or later Rich is going to come to the realization that this BOI is more of a pain then it is worth to him. Wonder who else will be stupid enough to try to pick up where he leaves off??? And many of you will be scratching your head wondering who is to blame, I'll wager.

Rich come down from the ivory tower and tell me truthfully, do you still feel that the BOI is worth the trouble to you??? What has this cost you and what have you personally gotten out of it??? I regret that you feel that there are attempts at killing the messenger in regards to this thread. However, I believe that its fair to question your motivations. You posted the email, Mr. Hall posted his reasons and his motivations for why he did what he did. In response, Rich Z. posted amplifying information, to give all a clear view of what Mr. Hall had read. Thereby showing members of this site his side of the story. What is the harm in questioning your reasons? I am sorry but you opened yourself to this line of questioning by posting that email you received in error. If you did not want to be placed under the microscope, then perhaps you should have just forwarded that email to Rich Z. and allowed him to handle the situation. In all instances there are at least two sides of every story, it just so happens that in this case there is a third side, and to date, it is my belief we have yet to hear that third side..........yours.

The email was forwarded by me, to Seamus Haley who in turn forward it to Rich. Rich had the email long before Mr. Jolly, so there was really no reason for him to forward it to Rich. The only question I have is, Who sent the email to Mr. Jolly? Seamus says he didn't, I know I didn't, that leaves Rich and Randy. Why was Mr. Jolly brought into this?

in all due respect that wasnt ALL that was read and wasnt the basis of my actions . That was nothing and wasnt the reason i made the choice i did .I would ask that the admin forum be opened to the PUBLIC to read the reasons and let the majority have a little light shed on it .

And to Roger Jolly ..... tell us more on why you want the BOI gone ?After all seems 90% of your posts that you make here are in more then one way steering to what you stated

Put your time into something more useful to yourself and let these people and this industry get what it deserves.

Look back and you will see until the recent turn of events i have never spoken badly of the BOI and made any statements of its demise it was the contrary so please Jolly elaborate on your feelings for us please .The reptile world does need a place to shed light on the likes of people that do other people wrong by ripping them off not sending paid for products and sick or dying animals ...

I recend my question as to why you did not forward the email to Rich Z. No sense in forwarding an email when one knows that Rich Z. was already in possession of the email, if that was the case, but then that spawns the question of how could you have known Rich Z. was already in possession of said email.
