In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had no problems with them....

I sold three geckos to Wonderful World Pet Suppliers of Rodeo, CA. back in March and the deal went smooth as silk. The cost for the three was in excess of $700, payment was made on the phone by credit card, and the whole deal took no longer than a couple hours from contact to purchase. All e-mails and phone calls were promptly replied to and they were very polite. I dealt with David Breen Jr., one of the owners, so I'm not sure who Justin Mitcham is, just thought I would give an opposing view and share my experiences with them.

I too paid in advance for 2 of the mata matas the Justin had advertised. Shortly after payment was sent via paypal communication took a turn south. Justin claimed family medical problems and then unexpected business problems. It took a while but I did get a full refund as did at least two others I had been in contact with regarding similar situations. I have also heard from a secondary source that at least one person did in fact receive the mata mata they paid for. All I can say is keep trying to contact him. Your info may have gotten lost. Personally, I would not rule out doing business with him again, as I do believe he just got hit with hard times at the wrong time.

For the record, my deal was with Justin himself. I have no idea if he was at the time or is now involved with wonderful world pet suppliers.

I cotacted Justin for you tonight and informed him of this thread. I know for the recond he had been hit very hard with personal problems, yet that sometimes cannot be seen as an excuse for lack of communication. He said he will be in contact with you and all will be good, and I believ he will take care of you as he has others. I personnally have known him for several years now(buisness relationship wise) and he has never done wrong by me. I too have been bugging the Sh!t out of him about the matas and I believe him when he said there was a problem with the delivery. When animals that are cb on farms in other countries are sold to the us, the person sending them still has to abide by certain regulations that wc importers face, and unfortunately when your quota is hit you can not ship any more to the following month, so I would assume this is probably the case. I have a good feeling you just got lost in the shuffle, not a good buisness practice every customers is as good as the one who gives you a million instead of a buck, but heck things do happen and I'm sure it will all work out.

As with most of you before I buy somthig from a person I have never done bussnes with I try to find info on him and as I stated his rep untill now was very good but in the last 20 days I have sent him 10 emails all have gone with out a reply and to date I have no turtle or refund.

I have delt with justin's boss @ wonderfult world, sold them a quite rare animal, deal went smooth.

However Justin tried to sell me WC mandarina ratsnakes, 100 for $3500. He told me they were collected specificly for the pet trade, dewormed in china (panacur is not possible to buy in china). and that 99% lived. Obvious BS. Mandarina are collected for food, not pets, WC mandarina ARE NOT GOOD PETS. Wormer is not available in china. Deworming WC mandarina KILLS 99% of them. WC mandarina have a high death rate.

Wonder what he was thinking trying to pull this off on me? Hmm "Lets try and rip off someone who deals with wc chinese species everyday".

I e-mailed David Breen, owner of Wonderful World pet suppliers......

To let him know about this thread. Below is my e-mail to him as well as his reply:

Thanks Sam,

I was not aware of this thread. I appreciate your good words for us. We have
been in the herp business since 1974 and have never burned anyone. We've
made our share of dumb#### moves, but we've never burned anyone and we are a
very honest family business.

Justin Mitcham does work for us out of Texas as our buyer, and freight
forwarder for DFW, and salesperson from time to time on different deals. He
did have some extreme bad luck and hard times, and his phone did get
temporarily disconnected so he could not send or receive emails via AOL,
which only added to the fears of everyone who paid him for the mata matas.

I don't know all the details of the mata mata import, but anyone out there
who paid in advance for the mata matas will not get burned. They will either
get their money back or the turtles when they finally do arrive, whichever
they choose. I told Justin never to over promise and under-deliver, and
never never never ever ever promise anyone a time frame when it comes to
importing or exporting animals. There is just so much paper work and
bureaucracy to deal with and if something can go wrong it usually will. The
rule with import-export is that nothing goes according to plan, and the
exception is that everything goes smooth without a glitch.

As of Apr-8, the turtles still have not come in. We have paid a lot of money
in advance for the matas, we want to get the turtles in more than anyone.

Best Regards,

David Breen, Jr.

P.S.: Sam, can you post this on the message board for us?
If not, Thanks anyway!

Rich has been paid in full plus a little extra for his troubles and I appologize to him for not being able to get back to him sooner.
As for Corey, you owe me an appology for your lies. You come on here fabricating crap so you can make yourself look better at my expense. I never would tell anyone that mandarins are anything but trouble, ALL the mandarins I have sold were to breeders, not one animal went to the pet trade, email Dave and ask, I used his accounts to ship them and he's the one who brought them in for me. I have been breeding reptiles now for several years and if I wanted to talk a good line of B.S. I would have done much better than claiming a 99% success ratio or anything. As for claiming I had a guy in china to worm them for me ..all I can say about that is man lay off the pipe, whatever your smokin is dramatically affecting your memory and cognitive ability. Anyone can come on here and post "he said, she said" but as to date I have a very good reputation, I do a fair amount of buisness with very well know individuals and if I was as stupid as Corey claims it would of came out by now.
Now here's the whole reason I believe Corey is upset with me, when we talked I had asked him about the striped mandarin het.s he was selling on the net for 800ea I believe, and if they had been proven genetic by breeding. He claimed yes, on his add it stated 100% genetic, but the animal is a recent wildcaught, so when did he have time to breed, hatch and raise and breed back the offspring to prove this as fact. I'm not calling "him" a lier but I am very curious, maybe he can ansewer my questions here, also if it has been proven genetic can we see a pic of the offspring??
When I asked him how it was proven he became very evaisive and I abruptly ended our conversation.
It's a shame that we bought from him for our overseas customers, We'll make sure it never happens again.

First off my posts have nothing to do with David or David Jr at wonderful world pet suppluers, they are very easy to deal with.

Justin, accusing me of drug use is not cool. My post about you was 100% accurate and true.

The "het" stripes, it was $1400pr, everyone who inquired was told that they were unproven, F1 generation. My ad NEVER stated 100% genetic. As far as recent WC? not at all, that snake was caught EARLY 2002. It bred 2 females, resulting in two clutches of babies. It never ate and died shortly after breeding, majority of the babies we still have, 2 are in the USA with a friend of mine, a few are in japan. I have not spoken with you about these snakes, that I can remember, and I have nothing to hide about this project. It is a very exciting project, and hopefully in 2 years I will have a few stripe babies.

You never purchased anything from me, David Jr did, and as far as I know they were happy with it (I spoke with David Sr today, very cool guy, was on the phone about an hour, didnt sound unsatisfied with the male albino gold thread).

Justin paid me back as he said and I hope this was an isolated incadent because untill now he had a very good reputation.

Corey , your a liar and a crook of the worst kind.
Do I need to remind you that Dave and I are best of friends, and have been for many years. He told me he did talk with you and wasn't at all happy with you regarding your fabrications about me. I can see now that anything I say here will be rebuffed by Coreys imagination. So instead of getting into a mudslinging contest I'll just end on the following note:
Words mean nothing...
Actions mean everything...
I never had to talk a line of B.S. , make crap up, or put down others to get where I am today. My actions SPEAK for themselves, and to date I have a large customer base domestically and internationally, and a great reputation that has been EARNED not FABRICATED.

Lets set a few things straight

1) I have no dope pipe, nor the need for one.
2) I am not a liar.
3) I am no crook.

Yes your reputation is WELL earned, however it is not great.

Although I know this thread was not intended to be about Corey, I feel I should step up to vouch for his credibility.

I've known Corey for 3 years now, and having nothing but good to say about him. He and I have done business several times and there's never been any problems. He has never pulled a fast one on me or outright lied as Justin claims he does. I am also not aware of anyone else he's scammed or ever heard any bad about his business practices.

I also remember the striped het mandarins he had. He even offered me a couple at one point, but he NEVER claimed they were 100% proven het for striped, only that if the striped condition was in fact a simple recessive, those babies would be hets.

The motives behind Corey's urgent need for Justin's address were a mistery. It was obvious he never had the intention to follow through with the deal. Although it now seems to be clear why I still don't condonne the action. In MHO the end does not justify the means. How is that different from the kid that a few days ago initiated a thread about himself?

Justin Mitcham (BAD GUY...AVOID)

This is a warning to those of you out there who haven't dealt with Justin yet. I purchased a group of fairly high end tortoises before Christmas from him which he assured me were in great shape...feeding well, beautiful, etc., etc.. He also assured me that my "satisfaction was guaranteed" with the animals. Well, to make a long story short, of 4 tortoises, one eats well, one nibbles, 2 don't eat at all and I've been tubeffeding them since 48 hours after their arrival. The only male of the group was extremely dehydrated and so weak that he was unable to resist any attempt on my part to draw his head or limbs out of his shell.
After I got them out of the box, I gave Justin a call that night and for the next several nights as well. He failed to respond to any of these calls or email messages. On December 23rd I received a message from his girlfriend saying that he was visiting his parents but had told her over the phone that he would replace the male of the group for free and that he would call me ASAP. Needless to say I have yet to hear back from him and he still will not respond to phone messages or emails. I have the emails to support everything I say in this post. I'm posting this here because I see that Justin is posting animlas for sale on kingsnake once again and I'd like to prevent others from falling into the same trap I did. Again, I have no problem supporting everything I said in this message and if Justin should feel compelled, he should get in touch as well.

Thanks very much.
Will Ahrens...

I know he has been running an add for Scrubs under his own name. I know nothing about the quality of animals, but justhtought I would answer the question. Not sure if he uses a company name or not at times. He is in Texas somewhere.
