Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here are some versions of the ads. One from earlier on and the last version posted. I am only posting these for posterity and discussion relevance. I am largely ignorant of crested gecko morphs.

Please stop with the "someone said" or "someone told me" type of stuff. Either name parties or do not share their communications at all. Third-party quotations are not allowed. While I understand the second-hand stuff can be very minor in relevance, I would prefer this to be more consistent in application. Especially for anything considered critical or negative.

I'm trying to get this site to come up on my pc so I can get everything posted, but I have mallard issues and it's being stubborn.

:/ Very unfortunate for you. But I'd be very wary of any breeder that tries to sell you a 'moonglow' crestie to start with, since that particular morph doesn't exist except for however long certain buckskins decide to fire themselves up.

Kati,

I was looking at your site and I am in love... I wanted to find out how often you have Moonglows like the female on your colony page? And are they rare enough that I should be careful of places selling them in that they are true Moonglow? How can I tell the difference?

http://katiscresteds.com/CrestedGeckoColony1.html

Also, what do you have available right now as far as the super Dalmation? Do you have babies, adults? I love Jack and Marilyn.. they are stunning... Honestly, until I picked up a crested for a friend of ours, and actually held one and fell in love.. I never thought I would be getting a crested..sadly, that one was already going home.. LOL.. or I would have snatched him up..

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for contacting me. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Right now all of my dalmatians are spoken for, but I have Elvis the moonglow available. I am going out of business so he is the last moonglow I will have for sale. I would be cautious of people selling geckos as moonglows that are actually reds that aren't fired up or buckskins. You can see pictures of Elvis here:http://katiscresteds.com/CatsMeowCrested.html You are welcome to make me an offer on him if you are interested. I also have a couple of harlequins available that you can see on the same page.

Thanks,

Kati

He stays that color and doesn't fire up differently. He is really cool. I have been getting flack on the forums from a couple of guys that breed cresteds whenever I post classifieds and the moderators have been telling them to knock it off. I don't know what their problem is. I have been breeding cresteds for 14 years and I have a solid reputation and awesome reptiles. If you got Elvis, you would not be disappointed. I could do $750 on him plus shipping.

because its kind of cold out here.. (we actually had snow flakes today).. would you take paymentsfor him until it warms up a bit? It would give me a chance to survive Christmas too.... lol.. and this would be my treat to myself.. I really do love him...

As far as those on the forums.. I gave my opinion on one guy and because I didn't side withhim (as a buyer who was being reported for being a creep), he gave me bad karma.. so I gave him a piece of my mind.. .next thing I know, he gave me good karma.. LOL Also had a "site bully" make a snarky comment about something I said... something I shouldn't have said and received an infraction on it.. which is totally ok.. I admit I was wrong, but I was so tired and the whole thing was bothering me... so far its been hours and no one has said a word about me putting my foot down with this belligerent buyer.. so maybe that is a good thing.. LOL

Ive dealt with breeders for sugargliders before, and ugg.. the drama.. The guys don't seem AS bad.. but when it came tosugar gliders, it was a LOT of women, and wow.. it was horrible... very cut throat... clickish.. and I decided tostay off the forums.

I don't care much about what these people say..I still love him and he is stunning to me...trust this, if they give me issues, Illtell them like I told this guy today.. and if they continue, then Ill come back with a sharp tongue and Ill leave them dumbfounded. I told a private message today that warned me about the site bully... I almost want him to open his mouth to meon something ridiculous. Because I wont back down from him and Ill leave him looking like a tool. :D :D

Anyway, if you can do payments, Iwill see if I can pull $100by the week after Christmas, and I will start paying you $100 at a time if that's ok.. it shouldn't take too long... Christmas is drainingthis year and it seems like we have squat... its crazy. Oh and Idon't send friends and family since its against pp rules.(found that out the hard way when I was selling and buying jewelry) so Isend itregular and add $5 for each $100 I send so you don't pay any fees... :)

With the way the weather has been, it should be warm in late feb/march... though I should shut my mouth and not jinx myself.. when he gets here though, he will have his habitat all ready and waiting... I just don't want him to be cold at any point.. :(

Thank you so much.. :)

Keep in mind, I was talking about the bullies. With all of the good feedback she had, no complaints, I chalked up the personal posts on her add at that time as a select few who like to bully.

Adding more..

Hi Lisa,

I'm glad to know that you are understand my woes with the forum. I don't go on forums often for the same reasons. Too much drama! The funny thing is that I only started getting negative comments once I was going out of business and letting go of my very best geckos. There are always haters out there and also trolls with nothing better to do. Generally I try to ignore them but I will defend myself if they get personal.

I am assuming you are located in New Jersey? Let me know.

I am okay with you doing up a plan payment plan on Elvis if you can pay the total by the end of February. The payments are non-refundable (assuming he does not get sick or die prior to you receiving him).

It needs to be above 40 degrees for me to ship him safely. I temperature control the box and I guarantee live arrival if you are home to sign for the package at the time of delivery.Shipping is $55, which is overnight to your door usually by 10:30 a.m. but that depends on your location (sometimes it is noon).I may be in Massachusetts or New Hampshire in the next couple of months for a visit and if I am we may be able to arrange to meet partway if you are located in Jersey. If I am shipping him it could be as late as April for temperatures to be warm enough.

Let me know if you want to go forward with purchasing Elvis. I take paypal at this email address: [email protected]. Your first deposit would hold him.

Thanks,

Kati

Kati,

Yes, I am locatedin NJ.. :) and I am good wit having it paid by the end of February... Id like sooner if I can swing it.. butcertainly by the end of Feb. I fully understandthat the payments are non refundable (assuming he does not get sck or die prior to me receiving him)..

I agree and fully understand the temperature issues, which is why I mentioned later...the day after it snowed (even little flakes) it was warm.. like "pre" fall weather. You never know one day to another to be honest.Better to be safe then sorry. I work from home, so I am ALWAYS here and if I am waiting fora package as precious as this, I try to call the post office ahead and let them know its precious cargo.. (depending on who you ship it with)...

As far as meeting up, that is iffy.. we only have one car right now, and my husband has two jobs. Normally I am good on the weekend, depending on the time it takes for me to drive where I need to go and back.. Sadly, he is so anal about driving further then 20 min away, that half of the time, I don't even tell him where I am going and its just "busy".. lol.. So it depends on the trip.. I can fudge 1.5 hours max at times one way, but if its a 2+ hour trip, it might be a lot harder... otherwise, he wont let me go.. especially if its for a pet.. he just doesn't get it.. lol

If anything, I don't mind the wait..so long as he is safe.. :)

$805 is the totalwith shipping, I am actually going to work on getting people to pay for their sites, so hoping to have the first $100 (or more if possible) for you this week if not next. :)

I am so unbelievably excited.. : D :D Thank you so very much..

Sounds great Lisa! I'm so glad you'll be getting him. I can tell he will be going to a great home. No worries on us meeting. If I'm out that way and we can arrange something, great, but shipping is never a problem when the temperatures are right. He will probably be coming FedEx. Happy Holidays!

Hey Kati,

just wanted to touch base with you.. Ive not forgotten... but I do have a question..most likely everything will get paid inFeb, due to issues we had since New Years eve... My father tried to kill himself. :( He is aVN Vet, and alone in TN... he drinks moonshine like it was water, and he is seriously depressed.. lost his wife in that house so he doesn't want to leave, etc... He decided to work on his motorcycleNew Years eve, and after having too much to drink, got really down, and decided to run the bikeIN the house. I was baffled on how he got the bike in that house to begin with, but since hes done it before to work on it, I wasn't surprised it was there... Thankfully, his neighbors try to keep an eye on him, and heard the bike running inside. Scary part.. I was on the phone with him begging him not to do it while he was inhaling the fumes. :( They were able to get him out in time, and he went into the hospital where they evaluated him, and we have been trying to get things ready here so we can bring him up. At this point he HAS to or they will keep him there, and he is not fond of not being able to use the toilet when he needs to, or have items like tooth brushes, etc. Being up here with his grand kids wont leave him alone and feeling useless... so I know he will do so much better..

Anyway, the work is leaving me short this month on almost everything.. and I wanted to know, (and not sayingI will for sure at this point), but if I need 2 more weeks into March, would that be ok? I am still so very excited to get him, and cant wait to love on him... never expected this to happen..

Ill still do everything I can to get it paid by the end of Feb.. justa little stressed and figured if I had a couple more weeks it might ease up a bit.. lol..

Thanks so much.. and hope2016 has done well for you thusfar... I don't plan on giving up on it justyet... my towel isn't ready to be thrown in...lol

1. Lineage (what he might carry) and or where he came from?

2. Age? Maybe month and year he might have been hatched or best estimate?

3.What female did you breed him to in order to get those beautiful white offspring. (what kind was she, where was she from).. etc..

Id like to find a female for him maybe intwo months or so.... I LOVE the white offspring, and would like to know what you used to produce them..

Any info you can get me would be GREAT... I am soo excited.. I have his food and everything waiting for him.. :)

I got Elvis in a trade with several other geckos. He was buried in the bunch at the time and I didn't know how awesome he was until I was sorting through everybody in my car and the guy had left. I couldn't believe it! The guy I got him from was a hobbyist, not a breeder and I can't find his name or info. Elvis is 7 or 8 years old. I have attached pics of some females I bred him with. When I was breeding, I paid big money for killer males and then got females in bulk (tailless, whatever) and put several females to one male. 1:2 works well but sometimes I did 1:4. I tried mating Elvis with light yellows and reds (since reds can get very light when not fired up) to see what I got. The best babies came from the light females I pictured (the first 2 to be specific). One of the pictures has a red not fired up (file named "patternless") which also threw some light offspring but some were reds. Just try to get the lightest females you can. Search on Fauna Classifieds, Kingsnake.com for light females. People get their panties in a bunch about the moonglow label so you could just ask for light or moonglow females. Kevin Dunne from Dragon's Denhttp://www.dragonsdenherp.com/is a great crested breeder. He does most of his business over the phone but you can trust him. He will send you pics. The females pictured didn't come from any big breeders, I just haunted the reptile classifieds obsessively until I found what I was looking for. Sorry I don't have a direct line in for you!

Just fyi, I feed baby food and crickets here with RepCal and Herptivite mixed in. If you are using a commercial gecko diet, you may need to mix in peach or banana baby food at first to make it more appetizing and then gradually wean him off of it. He will be so happy to have a lady friend again!

Kati, that sounds awesome. I have Pangea (Banana and Papya) and Repashy. I put them in containers in the fridge and have had to label the Repashy the other day to stop my husband from making a fruit drink from it.. it smells sooo good I guess he thought it was a powdered drink..lol... I can pick up the peach baby food and wean him in.. also always have crickets.. even though I really hate them..lol. our Chameleon loves them..

I've been looking for light colored females, but nothing yet.. I'm going to put up an iso on a few forums and groups.

Thank you so much.. I am seriously excited

Even giving him 5 or 6 large crickets once a week is great for enrichment and exercise. Older cresteds don't need them as much but they really help the youngsters to grow quickly.

Here are the emails I received once I opened him. I was kind of let down, and disappointed, but because I'm not normally conned for money like this, I just wasn't sure what to say..

Hi Kati.. he is here.. and he must have hated the trip because he was fired up.

Don't think he would be considered a moonglow . Oh well... getting him settled in.. thank you.

Hi Lisa,

I am glad he arrived safely. He must of gotten stressed from the shipping. Give him some time to settle in and a nice hiding spot. He likes to go in empty paper towel or toilet paper rolls.

Thanks,

Kati

Kati, how long does it take for them to fire down? He's been in his paper towel roll all night and in a quiet spot and I checked on him this morning.. hes still brown/tan. And he's never fired up like this for you? Seeing him like this it's hard to believe he was white at all. :(

Kati, I have been trying to find a female for Elvis and have been showing his photos to get help, and I am feeling really terrible about this money I spent for a moonglow that you claimed him to be and he is not. I just took this picture.. I dont mind paying a fair price for a gecko...and by your words he never changed, and was a moonglow, so my expectation was that since there is this controversy about moonglow, if he changed even a little because he wasnt, it would be minimal, and I could accept that.. I dont ever want to feel bad about a purchase, and I pulled my posts and just backed away because I feel like a complete fool and just bad. Is he nice? Yes.. he is sweet. My kids love him, and I like him.. but I feel just bad. More so embarassed.

The geckos you picture on your site that are white are not fired up..and I honestly feel as though that is not an accurate way to list these animals. Am I knew to this? Yes, but I learning quickly.... I was excited because anything I saw about you was good from buyers so I trusted that.

I really don't know what to do at this point.

Hi Lisa,

He is likely stressed and settling in from the trip. Cage temps should be in the 70's with no heat lamp or pad. Mist him daily or every other day and try feeding him straight peach or banana baby food with vitamins instead of the formula you got for now. I am sorry you are unhappy. I have a very nice high end red and yellow harlequin male dalmatian named George and a nice unsexed yellow harley juvenile named Sally that I could send you at no charge if you are interested.

Thanks,

Kati

Hi Kati,

His cage temp runs 71-76.. I have peach baby food for him ... he did poop, so that's a plus.

I wasn't really into the red. They are nice, but I wanted to stick to the lighter color/white as much as humanly possible . I also am not set up for another male or breeding right now. I've been looking around for light color females and it's proven to be the perverbial needle in a haystack. So I figured I had some time.

Kati, it was suggested that I post his photo (fired and unfires) and ask what he would be worth.. 40 is the most anyone said they would pay for him. I am really gutted at this point. Perhaps that is why he was in a group of geckos. He certainly is NOT a moonglow. :(

Kati,

I've sat down with my children and I belive (as much as I hate to send an animal back through post) that he should be returned with a refund for misrepresentation. He is NOT what you advertised him as. I've spoken to others at this point, and this is nothing more then a pet, no where near worth what I paid. If I wanted just a pet, I could have gone to petco and most likely paid less as they are 50% off this weekend. I trusted that he didn't changed. This is what you told me. You even warned me about others trying to pass off moonglows and scamming people. If his color change was a matter of the yellow darkening just slightly but him remaining white, I wouldn't have an issue. As it stands, he is still not fully white. He is beige at best. It sucks because my kids like him.. not because of his color or his structure (which is also apparently poor) , but because they have also waiting for him and getting ready to love him. You gave me little other info on him until after he was paid, and it was then, that you tell me he was in under a bunch of other geckos that you purchased from a hobby breeder. So you took a wholesale crested gecko, and put him out as a Moonglow? There are ways to check. To get him to fire up. You have had him for years, and I can't see where you would have never seen him fire up, or wouldn't have time to get him to fire up so that you could claim without a doubt that he was a moonglow. Which you have been doing for some time it seems. Perhaps the reason you still had him is because others knew he wasn't what you claimed. I noticed the add on fauna was removed. Not because he sold. If that was the case, other posts would have been removed. I believe it was because someone said something to you about it. And you told me that person was just a bully. The cache is still available online and people have shown these to me. Even there you deny him being a fired down color, that he is really a moonglow.

My whole experience with this just sucks now. I don't care to ever go through this again. I'm beside myself ...

I would like a full refund based on false advertising. I don't know who you use for shipping, but if you set it up for them to pick him up, I can repack him in the same container and box you sent him in. I have never sent an animal like this, so I wouldn't know where to start.

Unless you are willing to refund 690 of the 805 I sent, for a PET quality, never to be bred animal, which is what you sent me, (60 for the gecko and 55 for the shipping), I don't see another way.

This wasn't right. You knew how excited I was to get him..I crushed. I lover him because I mentally got attached, but being scammed bothers me to the point of tears. Even after I showed you the photo of him brown, you knew he wasn't a moonglow. You are sorry I'm not happy, but how could I be when you told me he doesn't change, and clearly he has. Moonglows do NOT change color. But then again, seems true moonglows don't exist, and people claim you knew this. You still sold it as such.

If you agree to sell him to me for what he truly is, pet quality, pet only:

4-1-16. $150 (full refund)

3-11-16. $350 (full refund)

2-27-16. $100 (full refund)

1-24-16. $100 ($90 refund)

Otherwise, once each transaction is refunded, you can let me know when he will be picked up. I'm sure you will want him back asap if you have others that were as stupid as me wanting him.

Thank you

Lisa

at this point, I did what I could throught paypal. She wouldn't respond to me, but she responded to paypal. I'm going to try to find anything from them I can screen shoot saying what her response was.

I noticed and heard what you said to paypal.I will be getting screen shots of every email since this started and reporting you to fauna as a liar and con artist.I've been informed to report you to Ic3.go and that is exactly what I will be doing. You are a horrible person Kati, a liar and a con artist.I hope that you have all the emails on your end to back up you telling me he changes, because these two screen shots say it all.

You picked the wrong person to scam.I might be new to crested geckos enough to fall for your lies, but I am not new to making websites and getting them ranked by meta tags. What gets me is that you couldn't respond to me but you responded to paypal. It's ok. Im sure you spent the money you took while lying and cheating me and my kids. You are a real piece of work.

I'm on my phone and it won't let me copy the links to post..

But WHERE did she tell me that he changes color?

You don't copy links to post them you upload them as attachments just as that link that I showed you tells you how to do.

I never said she told you he changes colors. I said it looks like she photo-shopped the pictures of his color. Therefore she made him bright white probably so she could sell him better.

Ok, you rock.. I was bashing my head and didn't even see that...

I was asking in general, where did she tell me he changes... I know you didn't say she did. :)

I just got off the phone with pp. Apparen't I won't be able to see the response she gave unless I sue her and pp is given a subpoena. She responded directly to them. I'm sure she can supply what she said, though I don't think she will.
