    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a question for the members of both Fauna, and Kelli's new forum. What about those of us that like Fauna and the members here? But ALSO like and respect many of the people that have moved to Kelli's forum? There are now sides drawn, and perhaps permanent animosity between the two groups. It now seems that no matter which forum we frequent, the membership of the other forum might have disgust for us. This could eventually lead to the people who have no side in this issue to decide to stay out of all of the foums rather than be forced to take a side. Am I the only one with this concern?

IMO, I see no reason you can not go to both. This is not about Kelli's site. It is about some of the ones that used that site for the start of this mess. Not the site itself. I am a member of many sites, I am also a moderator as well as a super moderator on a few. Rich has known this from the start and I might add has had no problem with that. These other sites know I am here as well, they too have no problem with it. So it is not about this new site, but some of the words that were said there.

Just crouch down behind me and I'll try and shield you from the abuse. ;)

You know its gonna happen, but if you're there for a reason and a purpose, I would think any site devotee would clearly understand your intentions and welcome your presence. If you're going to spend the time on each site chatting about the others site in a bad way and creating bad feelings, you're going to have problems. Just spend your time on each wisely....contributing in a positive way and you'll do just fine.

There are people at both that I like and respect very much. I really don't think any of those people are going to treat me with disgust because I frequent both sites. If they did however then they are not the people I thought they were.

I remember back in high school.... I got along with everyone. The preps, the dopers, the jocks, the punkers, the geeks.... everyone. There was a big controversy between two of the groups at one point. And like this situation I could sympathize with aspects of both sides.

Anyway, one of the people I was good friends with from one of the groups walked up to me and said that I couldnt have it both ways, that I had to choose. I said "you just made the choice for me".

If people want to ostracize you because you do not hate/dislike who they want you to hate/dislike then those people aint worthy of your friendship in the first place.

Shelley. Ditto's to what Varnyard and others said. Its not one site vs. the other site, and good discussions will be had in both, as well as others. People who carried themselves well here will inevitably do so there. And you already know what to expect from the keyboard warriors. I believe Rich has done a pretty good job here minimizing the bashing of others sites, as there have been instances well before this incident where he actively squashed such talk. Whether other sites actively promote such in the future we'll just have to see.
 
I agree, if you keep your posts friendly and to the point on either forum there should not be any problems. That is a sane outlook. It is my hope that people will be able to have a common sense attitude about this and not draw lines. Personally, I don’t have a lot of time to frequent a lot of different forums, and it was very convenient to have so many knowledgeable people under one roof.

Not so bad Mike. We are all either going to end up with dead Fathers, or our Fathers will end up with a dead child or children, and all Fathers hope its the prior and not the latter. So its a good day to remember and commemorate our Fathers, for they live in us. Its also a good day to let this thread fade to oblivion.

Mine died last August. This Father's Day was the first one that I couldn't hug him and tell him that I loved him. He was the single most important person in the world to me.

Today really sucked.
 
Jay, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I do understand exactly how you feel.
I think if he is looking down right now he has a big smile on his face, knowing how proud he is of you. :)

I go to both places, and NO ONE on either side has said a thing, nor do i think they will. I will say though, I spend much less time here than I used to. I don't think anyone is going to give you any problems.

I hear you. Mine died this past April and yesterday really sucked for me too.

Mine died 33 years ago, and Father's Day still stings every year. I've learned to spoil the "dads" around me...father-in-law, husband, and some friends who are amazing daddies. I also lost my mother more than 20 years ago, and the same thing applies to lost Moms as well.

Jay, don't stop telling your Dad you love him, don't stop wishing him a happy Father's Day and birthday and Christmas...it will still be heard. Just remember to honor him in the way you live your life....which might be some good advice for some of the people posting in this thread.
