    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ah, so your excuses about not knowing about how to ship snakes, heat/cool packs, etc. were just that: excuses.

So...despite that you don't really want to answer people's questions, I'm going to ask another one: Did you start this bad guy thread just because you suddenly decided you wanted another snake and you thought this would be a good way to get one for free?

You've "never heard of shipping them back." How many mistakes like this--other than the one you mention--have you heard of?
 
Jennifer, you are being absolutely ridiculous.

IF you got this animal from Ken, yes, you are inclined to getting what you paid for. However, there was no reason, whatsoever, for you to come running to the BOI and throwing up a haphazard post that can only be described as a gross injustice to the reputation of this seller. You did not contact him before coming to the BOI and you seem to have thought this thread would be a good weapon to use against him. This board is a tool for information and awareness, not a weapon to threaten, blackmail or defame people in order to get what you want.

Ken said he will give you a refund, not even being completely sure that it was, in fact, his animal. What more do you need? He is a not a Bad Guy. IF he gave you this animal as the wrong gender, it was a mistake and he is willing to correct it.

Now, my curiosity has been peaked. Show pictures of both animals. You got a male right before the female. You claim the one Ken sent was male as well. Prove this. Show us that both of them in your possession are male with evidence those are pics you yourself took. I do apologize, in a way, for questioning you, but your validation for posting this thread is non existant. You did not go through the proper, professional channels in order to secure a healthy customer/buyer relationship.

You want my opinion? You're lucky Ken is willing to do what he is willing to do. While many breeders/sellers have guarantees on genetics and gender, it is extremely odd you waited until now to bring it up.

You are still dodging questions, by the way, and that is not helping your case.
 
So Jennifer, I might have missed this, but did you probe the snake to determine it's sex, or, are you going by what you read on some web-site?

99.9999999_% of the time sexing them based on the presence of spurs IS CORRECT.

HOWEVER, i have seen in person a single female that had spurs and probed female on both sides, by several different people). This was a young animal, not a fully grown adult.

I would absolutely probe the animal in question to double check the sex. OP if you're not comfortable doing it yourself get someone who is.
 
If Ken doesn't even recall the snake, and you have nothing to back your claim even though Ken offered to refund all your money and pay shipping, how can you possibly expect to keep that snake and receive another for free?...I just don't understand that logic.

I'ld say Ken's name speaks for itself and his customer service should be a model for others to follow.

He's not new to this game,and granted mistakes do happen but I find it hard to believe he didn't sex the snake properly...Just my opinion
 
Hello everyone,I orderd a solomon island boa about week before I ordered this one Im complaining about.The first one was a male so I wanted a female to go with it.I doubt any of you would be happy about it if it happened to you.I just want what I paid for and no I dont think thats asking too much.Yes I've ordered 1.1 and gotten 2.0 before and never heard of shipping them back,they allways just apollogised and sent out what I ordered,letting me keep the mistake snake for free because it was they're mistake.I think this is just good buisness.In my first post I stated this is just my opinion.

Jennifer, when did you ever propose this to me? This is the first I have ever heard of it. Now, I don't remember a lot of things, since I send out a lot of animals, and this must have happened many, many months ago for me not to recall, but I can tell you this. I would have remembered such a request. You never asked me to send you a free snake, ever. And I might have actually done it way back when. I don't see that option now at all though. Have I given animals away before, sure, just did that today. The animal was not up to what it should have been, and I credited their card back to them. Why? Because they asked me what I would do to correct what they thought was a problem. I took care of it, and because of that I'm sure they'll buy from me again in the future. They did not expect anything from me at all. You, on the other hand, are demanding something from me that I really don't think I want to do. Call me and we can arrange shipping. You should still have the box I sent it to you in. I'll refund your money and pay for the shipping. That's all I'm willing to do. I won't be responding to you on this forum anymore. Call me, or not.
 
Are you serious? You want him to just ship out another snake for you, and you get to keep the one that was the mistake? I've never heard of this in THIS business. Maybe at a McDonalds or a place like that, but not in any live animal business. I'm sorry that is absurd.

I think it's time for you to prove what you have, and prove that you actually received the snake in question from Ken. You're lucky that Ken is even willing to refund your money including covering the cost of the shipping. If I was him, I'd tell you that you were out of luck.
 
I would like to clarify I do not support the OP keeping the snakes and getting another, I missed that.

To me, this seems to be nothing more than a poorly concocted scam in order to recieve free animals.

This is not Wal-Mart, Jennifer. You can't walk in without a receipt and convince them you bought the item there for store credit or for an exchange.
 
To me, this is a waist of everyones time. Ken, don't worry about it. Everyone has an unresonable buyer, hell, that might not even be your boa. Jen, unless you stop beatin around the bush and actually read what people are posting, your "case" is out the window. You've yet to post a shread of proof.

My post will fall on depth ears, I'm sure, but I thought it needed to be said.
 
Thanks Tyler. I'm not worried about it. It's all part of the job. She hasn't called, and I'm sitting right here next to the phone working. If she doesn't call, I'm not going to sit up all night and worry about it. I turn the phones off at 7PM PST. If I get no call by then, I'm here from 10-7 PST all day, every day, until Sunday. I just found this site today,thats why Im posting today.I paid with a credit card so Ken knows I'm not making this up.I purchased both animals from Ken.One a week before the other one.The first 02/25/10 the second 03/01/10.Both animals are doing grate.I'm not in the shipping biz and dont plan on getting into it.I certanly dont exspect Ken to fix his mistake Im guessing if ever even had a female he would have sent me one in the first place he didnt and just sent out a male hoping I would'nt notice.I'm just posting this to warn others.how do you like that big red x
 
This just stupidity now. Ken offered to make this rite,though I'm sure a lot of people on here would have told you to **** in your hat, and ritefully so.

Call Ken and let him fix it, and stop acting like a child.

Personally, I consider myself warned against you. You still have failed to provide pictures of the animals for comparison and to provide proof that you did, in fact, get these animals from Ken. I do not care what dates you spout up here, without proof, nothing happened. That is sort of how reality works around here.

Also, shipping an animal back to a seller because it was the wrong gender or something else is "defective" on it, hardly constitutes as being "in the shipping biz". So, what you are basically is saying is this: You got the wrong gender animal from Ken in March, you chose not to bring it up to him (in an adult manner, I might add, because posting on the BOI as a way of contact a seller is not mature by any means) until May because you just found FaunaClassifieds? What kind of justification is that exactly? Then, you state you would like a female but will not return the male because that is good business and that is what has happened to you in the past. Let me ask you, Jennifer, just how many missexed animals have you gotten in the past? Seems to me you are a very rare statistic in the business. Of course, that would be assuming you have a way of validating these claims. In case you have forgotten, you have not done so. You do not expect Ken to fix this, but you bring it to the BOI? Anyone else see something wrong with this?

You, lady, are full of it. I hope one of the moderators sees this, more so because of the "how do you like that big red x" comment. Is that implying you used the BOI specifically to hurt his reputation and not to, as you have so clearly made obvious, resolve a situation?

All you have done is successfully warned sellers from dealing with you. Kudos for that.
 
Jennifer, I guess I'll reply here anyway. Why would I send you the wrong snake on purpose? I said I'd take it back, and pay the shipping, both ways by the way. I charged you $50 for shipping, as I assume you are in the northwest. That means I'll be out $100 total. That's the price I have to pay to do business sometimes, especially if I screw up. But, why on earth would I do this on purpose? Just to hear you get all mad at me and then pay the extra money out of my pocket? Your logic escapes me. Anyway, enough of this on a public forum. If you want to contact me, you know where I am and when I'm here. Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do. I'll help where I can, but I'm not sending you a free snake, and I'm not refunding your money until I've gotten the one I sent you back. And the last point, after speaking to Kim, who remembers this much better then I do, I did sex the snakes, and she believes I was correct. Also, Kameron Tepedilan sexed the snakes before he sent them to me, and I've never known him to send me the wrong animals. Now I'm done. Take care.

Thanks for the heads up for us, Now that we know how unreasonable you are I doubt anyone reading this thread would deal with YOU!. You didn't even wait to have someone who is qualified to sex the boa properly & you expect Ken to just ship you out another one without any proof you really don't have a sexed pair now.

I believe your plan to rip off the seller back fired on you and that is why you say you won't ship it back. I have never heard of a buyer not wanting to cooperate with a seller to get a mistake fixed. You have some serious growing up to do. If I was Ken, I would do absolutely nothing for you at this point.

You see, the way it works..with the Breeders that have proven track records..when a search is done on the BOI and your thread is the one that pops up..people will tend to read it...and they will be so impressed by Ken's handling of the matter that they will definitely purchase from him.

You, on the other hand, have by posting this scam attempt have just literally put a big red X by your own name.
