In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Rich, thanks for explaining the rules that you must operate under. I actually totaly agree also, even if I don't like it in this case. Take care

Ken

I appreciate your reply, however I was not directing that at you or how you handled this situation. I was trying to put to rest the issue of how far someone should go to insure the well being of an animal. I don't feel that the arguement of not being available, or having to be available "24/7" holds water when we are talking about live animals of any kind. AND I dont feel that it's applicable, valid or not, to this situation, as it appears you werent aware of this specific shipment.

I'm sorry if you thought I was directing it at you.

That being said, to any one who thinks that a live animal business should only be important during "normal business hours": I feel it's a poor stance to take, to consider your "having a life' or "not having a life" more important than the welfare of any animals that are being shipped (against their will, I might add).

It is the resposibility of ALL animal keepers to be available 24/7/365 to receive live shipments, feed, take to the vet and so on. I feel very strongly about it and am a little offended at some of the comments that have been posted here.

Again Ken, your situation was a little different here, so none of this was directed at you. I personally have admired the stance you've taken, and now you're on my map of suppliers. (if that means anything) Youve had a great outpouring of support and that should make you feel good

hey bobby,
you say I also attacked you in this thread.

Well I reviewed it. And even though I did get in arguements or what not with other people....I just can't see where I attacked you.

Can you show me were I attacked you?

Or do you just enjoy lying to other members of other peoplee's boards?

Ken of Exotic Pets in Las Vegas

Ken Foose has one of, if not the nicest (cleanest) shops in the U.S. He and his staff are totally dedicated to their wards. They go the extra distance to care and maintain their captives to a degree that a customer is assured of receiving not only a quality specimen but also one that has received the utmost care possible. Had Ken known the particulars of this situation, the snakes would not have been shipped improperly and the shipment would have been received @ the proper time ,ie. before or at 10:30 am. He and his staff should be commended not slandered due to anothers MISTAKE(S). I have received several rare, expensive specimens from him...the packing and shipping was exceptional....I plan to continue doing business with his firm....they are extremely competent and honest....others could LEARN from them....Regards, Earl H. Turner:D

But they still cant manage to be there to sign for animals when they show up. and yes he had the tracking number and knew it was coming

That's really a moot point when the shipper doesn't know how to package animals, though.

Bobby, you screwed up - time to save face....

Bobby, I've read this whole thread and bottom line is that YOU screwed up and didn't pack properly. I live in Arizona and during most of the year we put ice packs in the INSULATED boxes. You may have planned on THAT box being delivered early in the morning - NOT! I use Standard Overnight delivery with FEDEX (guaranteed delivery by next AFTERNOON.) Yes, most of the deliveries occur before noon, but I prepare for the worse so I pack accordingly. Ya see Bobby heat kills a snake rather quickly. And YOU neglected to pack properly. YOU Bobby, killed those snakes. Pretty sad :(

I would recommend that you take a step back and punt and save face because you aren't coming out ahead in your lack of logic.

Survey says: Bobby screwed up and is not man enough to admit it :(

The GOOD NEWS about this thread is that I will NEVER do business with Bobby Pruett.
