    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

"share" they sound like there terrified to lose any of their customer's.
Fauna should just do their thing and "try" to ignore K.S..
In my opinon K.S. is not worth the screen it appears on!
In time the "better" site will prevail !

hey , where those photos taken down off a chat board? or sales ad? i meen if he pays to post ads, then he can pretty much do whatever he wants ( within the limits of there TOS). i checked out those geckos and wow, they are doing the herp hobby an injustices by not letting people check them out. they are great little leos.


and fauna is defently going to take the place of kingsnake sooner then later hopefuly

I wasn't really trying to bitch or anything, but yesterday it really donned on me just how far that other site had sunk. I mean I knew they were getting greedy and all but this stunt just took the cake!

i am glad that the KS forums are still around, it keeps these forums cleaner, if KS closed down can you imagine the flood of n00bs that wouild be cluttering these forums with the same general questions day after day?

That is true (about being too crowded)...but I have a question for you... When you got started in Leopard Geckos....did you know everything already? I am sure you did get a lot of help from the forums. I did, and everyone did.

What would have happened if the "not-newbies" by then said: "...the same questions again and again..." probabbly we wouldnt know as much as we do right now.

not much happening on the leo forum on KS! I wonder why? I actually am waiting on approval of a classified account over there. I will post ads for a month to try it out & see if some of my extra stuff gets sold. But I am pissed that the mods keep deleting posts off the forums. They also deleted a thread about the blizzard geckos advertised by AAA reptiles, The same lady is on the BOI complaining about the leos not being blue. We had a thread about it & KS deleted almost all of it. Not sure what there issue was. Could be that I mentioned this site on my post....hmmm?
 
if i was garrick i would pull my hosting from KS and bring it here pull sponsorship of forums and classifieds and put the money into *fauna but thats just me..........
sooner ot later some (a big breeder) is gonna do it and when that happens i think alot will follow

The difference between most of the newbies on ks now and back then are that back then a lot of people would do research before coming on the forum. Most of the people on ks now have probably not even tried researching and they ask the questions that could easily be answered by reading a good caresheet. And it's not even like Leopard gecko caresheets are hard to find. I went to google and came up with more than 26,000 results.
 
Well...i agree...

That is true Josh...the point that I wanted to get across is that none of us was born with the knowlege that we have right now about geckos. It is true, now newbies are lazier than back then, but there are still some people that need help even after doing some research.

I still agree with you Josh.

Look, rules are rules. The problem with Garrick's post is he said "go to my website to see more pictures." You all know that posts promoting other websites are a big no-no over there.

In enforcing the rules, KS did a great disservice to the leopard gecko community.

he posed what he had accomplished and said if you want to see more pictures you can go to my site... i have posted pictures of my animals before and said if you want to check out the rest go here and it was never deleted.............
i really think most of the mods over there are a buncha jackasses they might be nice (to you or their friends) but still know nothing and remain jackasses
i mean with as hot tempered as i used to get over there you would have thought i would be banned or they would have removed my posts but they didnt (well once) but yet delete his for showing a pic of his accomplishment
the mods really dont go over the forums too much it seems and i would suspect someone got a bitpissy jealuos or whatever you want to call it and reported the post "as advertising" but shoot i dont know... usually thats the only reason a post is removed is when someone reports it for some reason

I don't think we can really trust what you say based on past posts in the BOI forum.

Actually, Garrick just mentioned it near the end of his post, if I remember correctly.

And a KS moderator herself told me that we were allowed to mentioned our websites as part of our posts - it just could not be the main topic or a big topic within the post.

when i got into leopard geckos, there were no forums, or internet for that matter. I read books and observed. Alot of what i learned i learned from working with other breeders.
While i agree that everyone needs help, including me, i just get tired of seeing the same questions and same answers day after day
 
vince you are just ticked because you got caught in a lie.. plain and simple... thats not bad moderating thats good moderating, very few post are removed if any and very few people are banned from here and can come back if they pay the fine...... i still say i have the reddest leo ever

now ,vince after your unfortunate case of being caught as a bald face liar,at this point none of your post hold much validity......its just a crock of bullshizzle that runs in one ear and out the other and then gets lost of fizzles out in the negative space outside the body, kinda similar to waste but before its waste it generally has some sort of use or value, which in your case does not pertain.
