    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The price on those snakes has gone up big time after they were already sold...

From $27.50 to $48.00, in one week. Now they refunded the money to Tony so the scam keeps going.
For anyone who has had negative dealings or has been scammed by them, K.snake.com has a place on their classifieds to report scams etc, there is a link to the FBI, and many other sites like scambusters, better business bureau etc. Theres one way to get this straightened out, theres sure enough complaints here to get an investigation going by several organizations. Let the truth come out in paper. Thank you, for everyones input and I hope this info is put to good use through those organizations I mentioned.
 
They charged 3%or 5% to Bayou Beasts to cover their..

Costs to recieve paypal money through a paypal professional account, the price on the snakes were $27.50 each (2 snakes=$55 not $60 as in his paypal reciept). So yet another reportable offense, paypal do you hear this?
 
I saw this company selling some highend retics on KS and fauna and after putting 2 and 2 together, the same animals have been posted by a few different people, all of whom have poor reputations and fail to list their names. Does Socal claim to be brokers as well? Just hate to see anyone get screwed.....best of luck
 
I am informing fauna classifieds of the email recieved through them..

By SoCal Reptiles as abuse of their forum and email system, they have threatened several people here with email through fauna classifieds, as reading the posts/ responces shows, they broke paypals business agreement, which is also a breach of all business agreements from the sites they advertised from, (charging extra not noted on the add). Here is a copy of the email recieved by myself.
By the way I forgot to put my name on my responses so a moderator was mad at me and gave me 5 warning points. I dont lie to anyone but I also dont expect to have to post my name, thats why my hobby is separate from my career. Ill use it this time because I forgot the others.
Now these guys are gonna get reported to every fraud buster, scam buster, and enforcement agency around since they want to threaten others. First amendment in action.
I came here to help others out not get points for not using my name on this BOI.
 
If you don't feel like abiding by the rules, then don't bother posting. I could care less what your reasons are, the rules apply to you the same as they do everyone else.

Now then, I'll be checking back around 11 pm to see if you opted to abide by ther rules here. If not, then you simply just wasted your time and effort by posting what you did, because I'll have no choice but to delete your replies.

The rules for posting on this forum are spelled out clearly in the TOS and posted at the top of the forum. One of the main rules for posting here is that you cannot do so anonymously. It is a privilege to post here, not a right. You can either play by the rules, or not post...the choice is yours.

It's not that hard to avoid getting warning points...just follow the rules like everyone else does. You are not exempt from the rules that apply to everyone else who posts on this site.

Any further posts that are not signed will result in all of your posts being deleted.
 
Ive tried 8 times now it worked...But I still have warning points against me...

It took 8 attempts to edit my profile and add my name etc to it. I couldnt edit anything, until the 8th attempt. None the less for any interested heres my name. Ive been completely honest to get punished for it, thank you. SoCal will be reported as I said earlier.

Hey Shawn, don't sweat the points, they're nothing compared to what some of us have and besides it's plainly listed for anyone to see just why you got them and believe me lots of newbies get them for not putting their names on initially.

Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride. Sometimes it's quite a thrill, especially when you get such clever guys and joe to come on. Well, thrill might not be the best word but, it beats sitting on your thumb.

Bad guy?

Jody, I am not a bad guy. I have taken a serious loss to refund a customers money because Fed Ex delivered the snakes late and dead. I have refunded $2800.00 to an outfit in Colorado because I thought there might be health issues with the female of the pair they had paid for. I ship when I say I will ship and I stay in constant contact with my customer to make sure they recieve their reptile on time and are happy with the purchase. That, my friend, is not the attitude of a "bad guy". I am small time. I do work out of my house. I do have a day job and herping is my hobby. I treat each e mail and phone call as very important. There are no stupid questions. I answer more husbandtry questions than questions about possible sales. I love my snakes and want them to have the best of care in their new home. You guys need to work on your customer service and communication or I can see a black ball in your future. Take what is said by your potential customers here and LEARN from it. Don't be so defensive and lash out. A simple "Yes, we messed up. Sorry." goes a long way. Contemplate this...

Funny how this guy can email me to "threaten" me and yet has nothing at all to say about me coming by to see just how he actually runs his "business". Tom, did you get an invite, maybe joey just doesn't like me, though I don't see how that could possibly be.

SOCAL REPTILES RIP OFF ARTIST EXTRAORDINARES

I tried to order cornsnakes from SoCal Reptiles, sent payment via paypal and never received the snakes. I received a lot of excuses and a lot of pithy condescending emails when I inquired as to the status of my shipment. I even offered to arrange the shipping pickup to make it easier on their end, but that wasn't good enough. I come to find out that while I am waiting for my snakes to arrive, they are at a reptile expo selling off the snakes that I ordered probably at a lower price. Good to see that their priorities are straight huh? I don't appreciate being taken advantage of and then being yelled at when I want to know why and what is going on with the snakes that I already paid for. I hope that no one else has to go through this frustration. I would suggest that unless you are face to face with these people and the animal (s) are right there, do not make a purchase from SoCal.

I have yet to hear back from joey. And I was sooooooo looking forward to seeing his wonderful facility. Maybe he'll call me tomorrow. He's probably really busy satisfying all his customers. Yeah, that must be it.

I wonder if all of this BOI stuff has had an impact on their business... I would think the herpers who visit Fauna would be wiser for the reading of this thread. Oh well. I know Fauna BOI has helped my sales and trades. I have complete strangers sending me lots of money and getting high quality snakes from me. Nice to be respected and trusted. :) Maybe one day So Cal will figure that out.:confused:
 
I can't believe it

I also have had an 'experiece' with SOCAL reptile. I ordered 6 cornsnakes of 3 varieties. Told he had them, no problem. Paid by credit card. Arranged a shipping date.

Date comes no snakes. I call and talk to James. Said snakes ate, pooped, etc.

Reschedule. Again no snakes. I call again. More excuses. I am passed on to another guy who says the snakes are drop shipped from Florida and someone had a baby. I understand, we reschedule again. He assures me 100% they will be sent the next date. Again no snakes.

I call and cancel the order and report the case to Visa to make sure I'm not charged.

They are horrible about returning calls, numerous times I called and they said they would call right back and never did.

whether this was an isolated instance of not I can't say. It was my experience with these folks however.


From this point on I personally buy from more established 'name' breeders only.
