    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

He sent me a mis-sexed snake last year, but I didn't get around to sexing "her" until it was too late to do anything about it.

There was a rumor that he stole a bunch of stuff from Hank Molt too, but it was a rumor. Looks like Hank took the info off his site, so maybe it got resolved.
 
Turtle Purchase

I bought a high end turtle from him at the Houston Show in September and it is doing well.

The rumors are just that--when you consider the source and the reputation of the source--then it is self explanatory !!!! Tim Colston is an honest dealer--I have received excellent specimens from him---he is very professional in his business....the person who spread these rumors --an ex-con--felon is trying to tarnish a excellent reputation--why, jealousy--ego---you must remember that in every hobby, there are "bottom feeders"--that is the level of the convict who is slandering a Tim Colston . I would highly recommend Tim Colston to anyone in this hobby--his word is his bond--a rarity in this business and he doesn't use photos from books on his posts --nor does he send a list of specimens he doesn't have in his possession !!!! :D :D :D :D Earl "old man" Turner
 
Animals are good quality but the prices are alittle too high on some of the animals...... If you look around, you will find the same quality animals for less...... Lets be honest, who would pay $475 for a gaboon that is under 4 feet long???? Not me, thats for sure......
 
Tim is a great guy.. Honest as the day is long. You will not have a problem if you buy from Tim.. What Hank has said about Tim Is a out right lie.. I have known Tim for 6 years and consider him a close friend..You can buy with confidence...
 
Madd Reptiles is good in my book

I've gotten animals from Tim at Madd Reptiles twice. The first time there were delivery problems which were not of Tim's doing -- things he had no control over. In spite of that, he made good on a snake that died the day after arrival.
Several months later I ordered another pair of snakes from him. The day before shipping, he phoned me to ask if I was interested in another pair of the original snakes I'd gotten from him -- at a discounted price and no additional shipping. I was, and got them. All of that shipment arrived in excellent condition, and are doing quite well for me.
Things can always go wrong, but in my dealing with him the've gone well. I'd have no hesitation in buying from him again, and always check his lists when I see them posted.

Bad experience with Tim Colston!!!

Hello to all.

I am not going to tell that Tim is bad guy, but I have different experience with him! I sent him shipment of cobras, rattlesnakes and 2 Bitis arietans at the beginning of the March 2004. The total shipment was for 2340.00 USD. I got 1200.00 USD from him as prepayment, and we agried on sending of balance after he gets the shipment. We have almost middle of December now, and I still didn`t get the balance!!!!
I don`t know if words told by Hank are ture or not, but I know pretty sure that Tim owes me good amount of the money a long time already!!! I was ready to accept snakes from him in trade for balance he didn`t pay me + some more snakes from me, but it never hapend either.
I don`t like to write things such this on public boards, but Tim doesn`t respond my e-mails, calls etc.!!! I hope Tim will read this message and cover our deal as we made agreement on. I will let to know about to everybody immediatelly and take my message of the board.

Sure, I have all documents available to confirm my words!

:D Peter---Without your realization , you made the main poiunt--one to ponder---Tim, is clearing his name and of course, his association with Hank Molt has many obstacles to rid himself of..... Molt has launched an all out slander campaign against Tim Colson of Madd Reptiles. There are a number of "deals" which were and are out of Tim's hands. Many "tales of woe" are being initiated by "honest Henry".... you might want to check your source....perhaps, you will be able to ascertain some truth from the aforementioned individual....although I have doubts :kill: :kill: :kill: An opinion based on a 30 year knowledge of Henry---Buena suerte, E. as I said, I don`t know what`s the true on Hank`s words, and in my point its out of my interest right now. I made deal dirrectly with Tim, I sent snakes to Tim, and I want payment of balance just from Tim. It`s easy....
I am not telling Tim is bad guy, as I mentioned in my first post above. But he didn`t keep his word in deal with me, didn`t pay me as he told me, and therefore I can`t think nothing good about him right now.
1140.00 USD isn`t small amount, and I had several good purposes how to spent them during last 9 months!!!
I don`t want to be involved in the "war" between Tim and Henry, all I want is to get my money. I covered all I promised to Tim, and all I want is the same dealing from Tim.

Indain Star

I just bought a young Indian Star from Tim. He told me he had a "live on arrival" quarantee. He shipped the little tortoise in 20 degree weather in the snow on the 23rd. It was detained because of the storm and Christmas, and arrived dead today. He will not honor the live arrival and said that it was my fault I "let" him ship it in that weather. I live in CA. and trusted his judgement about safety in shipping and I did not ask him to ship then. Also, UPS does not quarantee next day shipment in the week of Christmas, which he just informed me of today. It was a beautiful animal and a total waste of a life that was totally avoidable.
 
Anyone who is selling an animal and doesn't bother to check weather conditions and dates when shipping needs to think twice. Seriously-who would even think of shipping that close to the holiday?
 
Although I posted my note abut TIM COLSTON 17 days ago already, I still didn`t get any e-mail even call from Tim. That speaks for itself too....
He is just guy who can talk nice, promise you whatever you wish to hear, but do not keep his words!!!

I will check over US embassy over us if there are some legal steps how to solve this problem. 1140.00 USD isn`t so much, but who of us can just throw them out of window? Tim can be sure I will not forget him and do everything to get what is mine....

I can only speak for myself and my dealings with Tim have been fantastic. I've ordered a few things from Tim and I was completely happy and he was very professional.

Regarding the lost tortoise.


The few times I've swapped emails with Tim he's always been pretty straight forward and prior to now I haven't heard anything deragatory about him. I'm curious to see how this is handled because I work with a lot of the same animals he does and have been interested in his inventory on numerous occasions.

I live in the middle of the area that storm hit and it SUCKED! Nothing should have been shipped in that crap. I can also see how the error could have been made in thinking flying the animal from sunny Florida to sunny California wouldn't be affected by ass deep snow in the midwest. I hope it's just a bad judgement call that Tim will work out with Lisa.

My post has turned in to opinion which strays from my intent, I only replied to say I'm going to send this link to Tim so he has a chance to remedy the situation.
 
Scratch that, I don't know why I was thinking Tim's located in Florida (maybe because everyone else is) Tim was shipping from Oklahoma to California.

I hope this doesn't get removed since I'm using my fiance's account. This is the first time I've ever posted here. This is Tim Colston and in response to Lisa's acusations...here's my side. I informed lisa that I did have a live arrival guarentee on the phone when she ordered the tortoise, I kept in contact with her when the tortoise was delayed for several days in route b/c of the storm, the only reason I shipped when I did was I assumed she wanted it before christmas, no she did not say she had to have it before, but she did not ask me to wait and the original addvertisement for the tort stated I would ship tues for wed arrival so the purchaser could have before christmas. when the tort arrived dead she emailed me, I then called ups to see if I could get refunded for the delayed shipping expenses, that was then they informed me they didn't guarentee next day during christmas week(this was the first I knew of this, or I wouldn't have shipped it) I informed Lisa of this and also told her that my refund stipulations clearly stated on the terms of my website said I did not issue refunds due to mistakes/delays by the carrier..this is pretty standard, but I did offer, since I felt bad about the situation a $175 credit with me to be used however she wished, and if when I obtained another baby star of the same size/quality, I would give it to her for the $175 credit if she had not used it already. I thought this was very fair...if not too nice since I would think she realized (if she read the terms of the company she was purchasing from) that my guarentee was void if carrier delays caused the death. also I have repeatedly asked lisa to send photos proving the tortoise is dead, it has been almost 48hours and I still have no proof the tortoise is dead and can only assume she may just be trying to get her tortoise for fee. I am not trying to start a war with this, just give my side of the story...I feel I have tried to work very hard to please all of my customers with every transaction, and feel I have acted fairly with Lisa.

I haven't done business with him, but I have heard some negative feedback about the condition of his animals on his tables. I'm curious about both of these complaints. They seem very serious. 1 in ca and 1 in europe. Both are big time. I am wondering if these were the same snakes that he advertised ""captive bred in europe."?
