Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

See...thats what i'm talking about. I try to do something to help this thread out and what happens...another smart remark...I don't know what to do. Its like I try to fix things and i've been rattled all night about them (currently 5:48) I mean I apologize and remove my sig?? What am I supposed to do bow down and kiss your feet? I liked the old fauna where people could congregate and talk about animals and ask questions but now its a huge flame war...
 
What I say IS irrelevant when it's concerning your signature line. Your correct. But then again I am not the owner of this site and I don't make the rules.

You make your own choices, I was just hoping not to have to see someone get pointed and/or suspended over something so petty.

Your blatant refusal to do what was asked of you by the owner of this site is where the maturity issue came into play. Of course that again is just my opinion. And really, does it matter what forum you are posting in? Your signature line is controversial in my opinion.

Why not remove it and avoid the controversy? Your signature line is really not what I am concerned or referencing with this post. It was your disrespect to the owner of this site I was referring to.

And no, to voice your opinion is not disrespect. I do wonder though, why everyone would have to see your opinion even when you are posting on some other topic totally unrelated to what you have in your signature?

And in my opinion age does play a role in EVERYONES posts. And for the record I NEVER in anyway insinuated that you are "stupid" just because your 16.

And as far as me not voicing my opinions.......................... I don't really fall in the same class as you. Only because I don't have a negative comment in my signature line for all to see on every post you have made or will make.

Don't be scared to be harsh. I am a big boy and can take care of my own. No need to be sorry either. I respect your opinions even if I disagree with them and try to show you what in my opinion you may or may not be doing wrong.

Lord know I have made an ass out myself many times and maybe I did in my last post. But even if I did, thats just the way it is.
 
haha Mike...Late. I respect your opinions and you respect mine. This is what need to do some more of here on fauna. Agreeing to disagree...Chris said it...It's in some's signatures and its exactly right. I did think about my signature and yes it is controversial and I had hoped that removing it would ease some tension on this thread...but of course Dand had to say some smart comment...haha. Well sorry everyone if I offended anyone but hopefully now everyones a little happier. I do not mind some disagreement; and I think that considering the points of view of others, and respecting that point of view is a good goal. The following is an observation, and I do respect the views of others, this is MY view:

There are *some* actions that are of such a nature, or if done cumulatively, that one does not have to agree with them.
Each of y'all has a set of expectations about behavior, we all do. There are actions, that if you experienced them in life, or actions perhaps done to your loved ones, that you might decide were not appropriate.
If someone walked into your home and began screaming at you, you might feel it was something you shouldn't have to hear in your own home.

I do not think the Portugese thread was amusing.
 
Just a FYI,

When you change your signature line it changes it on all your past posts too.

By these comments it appears you think it is only on this thread.

Yeah...I know it changes on ALL threads...But the recent posts have been on this site...but the sig is gone now. Lets drop the whole signature thing. :raspberry lol..Bring some humor into fauna....thats what it needs

Sorry Lucille, but you can't make that in Texas. Just like they can't make barbecue sauce in New York.

I have a weak spot for (MY) home made chocolate chip cookies and peanut better fudge. Other than that I am not really into sweet stuff. Except the occasional Hershey's Kiss of course.

I am more of the Steak and Seafood food kinda guy. Shellfish in particular. Lobsters and Shrimp and Scallops OH MY!!!!!!

With a genuine weakness for good Italian food too....... mmmmm Lasagna!!!!
 
I just don't like any sweets, weird I guess, but I love a good steak, ribs, fish, crab legs and oh manicotti, cannelonni are some of my favorite italian foods!

We might need a new thread for our food addictions lol

Man, I could eat seafood every meal, every day, for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. Nothing makes my day better then a pile of Maryland stye steamed blue crabs sitting in front of me!

So now, are there any other directions this thread can go off topic on? :laugh:

I was raised in Manhattan........
But you might be right, I will hafta invite some New Yorkers down to cook for me, and I can do the barbeque thing....parteeeeeeeeeeee
