    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

John, I'm really sorry you had to go through this. I too would be on here if someone had promised me compensation and then decided to drop all communication. It hurts to see that some people's word has as much value as toilet paper. Too many people have been hurt in this hobby and discrepancies like the one that occured with you only make it harder for people to trust other people in this hobby.

John, please come back to this thread on a weekly basis and continue to inform us if Mark has taken the steps to rectify this; if not then at least this thread will remain active as long as possible so that people will be informed.

Angel, will do. mark has not initiated contact in months. Every contact we had was me contacting him and after the males death him blowing me off. I will definitely let you know if he contacts me to try and work it out or offer compensation. I highly doubt it based on his actions before and during this thread.

Griz, you are insane,lol. If you go to Daytona, look me up so we can meet in person and i will buy you a drink. Or two, lol. Thanks for all the support(to everyone else who supported me also). It didnt go unnoticed.
 
Mark, have you actually talked to an attorney? The burden of proof is with Mark. He has to prove that the animal is dead. I would think a good attorney could at least direct you on how to get this rectified.

Agree, this is past the point of this being able to be concluded between you two. Bring in law dog.
 
I'd have to say I agree as well. Earlier on I still had the idea this could be settled between the two of you. It's a little hard to do when only one of the people involved is speaking up, and the other is remaining silent.

Attorney's orders or not Mark, I'd say your lack of a response has tilted the scale onto Johns side in my eyes. At least he is here trying for a sensible solution to this madness, while you seem to think it's just going to go away if you ignore it.

You started to make this right, why not just finish with the deal you discussed earlier, and you BOTH can move on. :shrug01: It's to the point now where I would not consider You no matter what you had to offer. How many others do you think are feeling the same way? Just something for you to ponder. :shrug01:

Does anyone have any legal advice? Its funny how i still have not heard anything from mark and he has some animals for sale which would actually almost reverse the deal. I would be willing to take a couple of animals and move on. Not exactly what i would prefer but hey.....
 
shot him an email saying that you would be able to make a deal for animals or call him. wait a week for a reply and if you got nothing, take the guy to small calims court. you might need some folks as experts in the boa field to use as witnesses to explain to the judge why the boa is worth so much and how breeding works, yadda yadda yadda. then you get your money back pluss court costs. might want to think about finding a friend that is a lawyer.

Talk to an actual lawyer who does these things for a living. Although many here may be able to point you in the right direction, it's ultimately going to take an attorney. Skip all the middle stuff and get right to it.

Nope, no word, no pic of a dead snake, nothing. Apparently now it is just a big joke to him and his cronies. It seems the only way to go is to sue him in small claims court in Kansas. I can sue up to $4k only. To get a lawyer and go to civil court for the full amount will probably cost more than what I can get in return, with the fees and all. I am still thinking about small claims. I will have to decide if even that is worth it. I am guessing he knew about all this when he decided to not honor our agreement. I know he is still selling animals and even doing exporting for other people. I would just have to say to these people to be very careful and go in with your eyes wide open. I am not the first person he screwed and I am sure I will not be the last. I sometimes ask myself if it was too good too be true? To find a breeder male Blood available during breeing season for mostly trade and not full price that he didnt even know something was up beforehand?
 
That's a shame John. I would also mention that people would need to use great caution when dealing with Mark's supporters. It's a shame that this stance has to be taken but without it, we end up supporting the thieves like Mark.
