So, the next question is - who is saying it was where at 7:22?
Does the FedEx Office deliver directly to the airport? Or does it deliver to the local hub/sorting station?

My point with my other comment was that it seems highly unusual that Chase would be the only one having this problem with shipments from you, if there was not some variable on your end. This makes 3 problem shipments, two of which have included your buyer receiving dead animals (and the 3rd hasn't been received, yet).
Personally, I would be beyond upset.....and, THIS shipment would be stopped. It missed the deadline, and didn't get sent; so it can be stopped and held - I say this from experience because it happened to me once, and I was able to have the package pulled & held for me...and I did that the morning after I dropped it off, when I realized it hadn't left. It might mean that you have to go get it; but I would think that would be preferable to putting this same customer through this experience yet again.

There are no hubs near me, I've used this store before only had issues when going to chase for some reason?

Have you had any other shipments in between the ones to Chase?

You need to find a new drop off place. To me it sounds like someone at your dropoff isn't fond of your shipments.

I shipped one the same week as the 2nd shipment with no issue, the animal in the first shipment did not die IN shipment. It died a week later or so, there were no issues with fedex in that shipment.

There is one on Airport Dr. in Visalia, about 12 miles from Tulane.

I agree with driving the extra distance to a hub. I've found that the store employees aren't always trained/informed properly. I drive 30-40 minutes one way to a hub just to be safe.

megan the snake is at the office you dropped it off at to be picked up... also have them refund the shipping cost... id like to ship it next monday now... i dont wanna try and flip him and ship him tonight to much stress on him i think... but you have him in your care so you can determine if he seems good to be shipped again tonight... id like him here asap..

Megan - what of the statement made in the other thread, that you purchased the label then dropped off the package later? I didn't notice a comment on your part, nor did you respond to my earlier post here

The above, of course, refers to your statement that they said you dropped it off at 7:22 - Who said that? Where was it at 7:22?

So far - the complaint about FedEx noted - I'm giving Megan a fail on this....Prior to the initiation of this thread, Chase was very upset because the seller wasn't doing much to resolve the problem (this, while the snakes were still delayed); now, again, it is Chase - the customer - that is interacting with FedEx, and telling Megan (the seller) the status of the delivery & where her snake is. Obviously, a lot of things can come into play in a situation like this; but, IMO Megan should be much more involved in this process. Maybe she has been, but hasn't shown it here?

In your other thread, you said that the last shipment was through SYR - were you interacting with SYR during the period that your snake was in transit? What was there response? Did that situation lead you to not use SYR this time?

What was the issue with the first shipment - what caused the death of the snake? Chase stated in his post that the snake died from something in shipping, Megan said that FedEx was not at fault & the animal died a week or so later. What happened?

oops - I hate typos...please autocorrect when you read "What was their response?"

i believe the reason i was updating megan on the update was because i called and had package held at 8 am my time and 6 am her time she was still asleep... she had called last time. and has called this time called last night and this morning and also went to the fedex office and complained to manager in person....

as far as first shipping the snake appeared as in it had went through way to rough of a shipping... like it had been shaken up during the trip.. i dont get why i have been havin such issues, everyone else she has shipped to in past have always went perfectly smoothly.... hope after this shipping i never have issues again.. not happy with fedex. im not mad with megan... as you can see on the reciept it says package dropped off at 12:57... fedex just didnt scan it and move it in time... clearly their fault.but they wont adnmit to wrong...

The receipt shows that the package was dropped off...and the tracking shows
Apr 18, 2011 7:22 PM Picked up VISALIA, CA
Apr 18, 2011 12:57 PM Picked up VISALIA, CA Tendered at FedEx Kinko's, now FedEx Office
Apr 18, 2011 1:48 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx
(yes, I had looked at that before I posted the above questions)

I used syr every time I've shipped an animal. No, I didn't talk to syr till after the animals had been delayed and died on the second shipment because I give the tracking number to buyer and rarely if ever get a chance to track them during my work/school day so I didn't know they were delayed till after it was too late, with this third shipment I dropped it off with the label I had printed at home maybe an hour before already on it at 12:57pm, they didn't scan it in till 7:22 is what Im thinking, the girl at the counter blantantly lied to fedex HQ and chase that I was there at 7:22, but when I go there in person I call her on that and she replies "well that's not the point, the point is fedex doesn't ship live animals" -admitting guilt- and yes, he posted here because i was still asleep, I went as soon as I got up. I have interacted with fedex and syr the whole time, he got upset because the first time he texted me about the issue with then delay of the second shipment I was in class in a middle of a test and said i couldn't do anything at that point and I'd get back to him (professor will fail test if catches you on the phone during test) so he thought I wasn't going to do anything about it at all, I just couldn't talk RIGHT THAT SECOND. I have done everything I should have, replaced the snake that died. Then replaced the second snakes that died, fedex is entirely at fault here.

yes megan you have everything possible and the girl at the office wouldnt admit that she was wrong i could tell in her voice she knew she messed up..

I've never used SYR, nor have I ever dropped anything at a FedEx Office, so forgive my ignorance - I'm curious about why you would get a receipt?
When I book a shipment with FedEx, it shows on the tracking as Shipment information sent to FedEx - as yours does. When booking through SYR, are you actually on a FedEx page...or does SYR actually book the shipment after you process it? It appears that that would be the case, as the information was transmitted nearly an hour after the first scan.

Having never used an Office location, the point of what happens to the package would be important to me, as a shipper - I'm assuming that a FedEx truck makes the pickup at a scheduled time...but does the package then go to a local facility, to be made part of the evenings delivery? Or is it picked up on a set route to the airport?

Megan,
How often have you used this location?
I'm guessing that you haven't shipped a lot - and I mean no offense by that statement - but I hope that you make a concerted effort to resolve this service issue...either by having SYR address it internally with FedEx and that Office location (and not dropping another package there until you are assured things are fixed); or by taking your boxes directly to the hub. As far as your earlier comment about there not being one close:
FedEx Express Ship Center
9510 W Airport Dr
Visalia, CA 93277
That station is 5.2 miles from the Office location you use.

I have shipped a lot but using syr they were going thru UPS before, they just started using fedex about 2 months ago give or take and I've gone thru this office about 5 times or so. When you are on the syr they do the booking for you and you automatically get an email from both syr and fedex directly after you hit the submit button and your only option for shipping is priority overnight. No, believe me, I wont step foot in that office again, ill go to the fedex express on airport drive. I just didn't know it existed.
