Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought I was clear with the bold type in my post. I took issue with point Robert made about "Matt's Friends" jumping in to make Nicole look bad. That is a unfair statement in this thread. Sammy, myself and several others, either asked Matt to post his emails to support the communication he said he had with the buyer, and/or commented about the lack of communication.

I have been reading all along, and I still can't get over the pettiness of some of the comments made. This one has got to take the cake............

I mean, I like You Matt, I even spoke up at the beginning saying you were a good guy, and You'd come through, which You did. I commend You for that. But I have to say I don't think it can get more childish or petty than that comment right there. The reputation system and Karma system aint a toy for petty little vengeful acts. And by using it that way IMO lowers what used to be a higher oppinion of You.

I for one have had some second thoughts after reading along, based solely upon the way you chose to address this issue. By the somewhat demeaning way in which You addressed K&N throughout this thread. Not that I will stop doing business with you, since you have not done Me wrong in any way. But it does create a question in My mind about how My first opinions may have been off.

I guess time will tell.

Giving bad trader ratings to a customer just because they spoke up when you admit to dropping the ball is just wrong. Do the right thing by removing the negative trader ratings regardless if they remove them from your trader ratings. IMO this thread could have been solved on page 1 if this was handled appropriately and here we are on page 26
 
I had some issues with an order I made with Matt in the past. I purchased some flex watt and then things crunched a bit for me. I told Matt what happened, his response was to not worry and things will be fine. Not once was he rude to me, he did not ever say he was going to the BOI, he simply was one of the best people I have purchased from.

Maybe people have a little less patience because of current events going on with another business that is getting the hammer here on the BOI. Things are a bit sketchy after seeing a good guy going down in flames, lets remember that Matt admitted to his mistakes and did give the refund(before this thread was started) as he promised he would.

Folks, do we continue to hit cut down the redwood with a machete, or do we move on to another project far more worthwhile.

The shorter version of my earlier post (#116) would be that we often hear it said "its nothing personal, its just business" as the reason for a certain negative action in business, such as a firing or contract cancellation, so as not to stick the knife any deeper, and keep it a clean cut. The trouble with negative trader rating to a customer with a valid complaint (and even if it wasn't so valid) as well as the GGC is that you have taken business and made it personal. In reading Roberts complaint (post #115) I got the distinct impression that what stuck in his crawl the most wasn't the problems with the deal, but the negative trader rating and comment that you gave him. If not for that, I don't think he posts in this thread. BTW, I still would recommend you to anyone who I thought had need of your product, just would encourage elevating out of this "tit-for-tat" image. We all get caught up in a peeing contest every now and then.

How true! NONE of us like to admit we made a mistake and when we do, sometimes how we react when it's brought to our attention can have more affect that what we did wrong in the first place. I think customer service has got to be about the hardest aspect of our jobs!

I have done business on the buying and selling end with both Matt AND Kevin & Nicole, and I would do business with each party again in a heartbeat!

I would like to apologize to Kevin, my customer service was not what it normally is and I assure you it would never happen again, to you or anyone. You all have a blessed week!!!
 
Maybe I'm in the wrong with posting this, as its going to violate what I am about to say. But maybe not.

This is one of the main reasons why I think the BOI is nothing but a bunch of bored people without anything better to do than to create their own story board of dialogue and gossip.

To me, the BOI is about posting if you have had experience ordering from someone or not, and whether you liked your transaction or not, to help other people in future purchases.

If you haven't done business with someone, read all you like...but this interjecting the myriad of posts taking sides and nitpicking over something that had nothing to concern you, is just flat out petty and wrong, imho. I find it incredibly cheap and distracting to say the least.

Several of you, I see you posting in several threads where you blatantly say you have had no business dealings with the person in question, but still interject your own opinion into the mess like it should matter. To you, go buy a novel or a gossip magazine. This isn't the place.

I would like to think a lot of you would be more mature for your age and really have a life outside of war-mongering/stirring the pot/et cetera over what the person themselves apologized for several times. Please, stop pouring gas on what was a dying fire.

For the record, I do not know any of these people, aside from Joe Cala from another forum. Matt is only human, he made a mistake, he admitted to it and apologized for it. We all make mistakes.

I believe a misunderstanding took place and someone jumped the gun on this issue and its unfortunate it had to carry on to this extent. Matt has done everything within his power to try to rectify the situation, it would be nice if everyone would respect that. That's all I ever ask for any business person.

My intent is not to make waves, but to try to point out how rediculously petty all of this stuff looks to the outside observer. All you've done is make me think a whole lot less of your opinion in any thread I read from here on out. And I hope that when the day comes and I have a chance to use the BOI for what it was intended for, you'll have a better hobby by that time.

To sum up: Unless you have something worthwhile to add to the discussion, i.e. having done business with either party...be polite, be quiet, and enjoy the read.

I don't mean to continue beating the dead horse...But I wanted to bring to the table my input...

1) In regards to Matt's customer service, I have ordered once from him and was extremely pleased with the quality of product. I can't recall any inconsistency in customer service, and will order from him again.

2) This situation is unfortunate, and outside the short flare of temper, I think Matt handled it as he should have. He did refund the money promptly. Of course everyone will agree that a little bit more of communication effort on both sides should have been made.

3) :>off_to<: Misty is a cornsnakes.com member whom has made it clear on that forum her opinion of the BOI & Fauna as a whole (as stated in her post here). I myself was quite shocked when a lot of the members of that forum vehemently opposed Rich keeping the Cornsnake forum open here, deeming it a waist of space.

I would just like to say I ordered from Matt on several occasions and have always gotten exactly what I wanted in a timely fashion. I would not hesitate to do business with him again.
