    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

MGREPTILES Trouble with shipment

IMHO - this entire thread could have been avoided if Matt had been less concerned about being right than doing the right thing.
 
Sammy, No I don't. I thought by Matt's response to me he offered a full refund. I was getting ready for turkey dinner earlier and didn't go back and reread the post he quoted. I hope my post on the subject states what I believe would be the correct action.

Ill order from both again when we expand and need more of the same supplies.

Hello Matt I will be returning the unopened box to you today and I would appreciate a full refund not a store credit as you have mentioned, I will now apologise to you if I was out of line with some of my remarks and I hope in the future that you will resolve this type of problem in a different manner. I wish you the best in your future corrective strategies and just to add, telling someone that you can not fill their order is easier, and in no way is looked upon as a strike against you it is just the truth. Hey,

Matt- I really hope you didn't take some of the constructive criticism the wrong way. I've ordered from you 3 times and will do so again. I think you are a great, honest guy who is still young and learning, and I've always been satisfied with the content of my orders. Personally I'd just like to see your orders ship more quickly.

Let's see how Matt does in the future, I'm sure he will take steps to try to improve.

Stop with the whining and Crying

I have read many posts to several threads on the BOI. It seems to be the same stuff over and over. Every thread starts out with an important issue and then people jump in and bring personal vendettas, other threads and bad blood that has occurred in other areas. I was at a reptile show recently and the convo among some dealers came to the BOI. Several people think its great to have a cup of coffee, boot up the computer and read the "The Reptile Jerry Springer Show". We are destroying a great resource here. I don't post much but I use the BOI to find repitable dealers but it doesn't seem worthwhile when you have read through pages of MIDDLE SCHOOL infighting to find out who is good or not. We have to remember that the average person can use this forum to help them learn about our passion. When they see all this crying and moaning they get turned off and go straight to those CHAIN stores we despise so much. I know there are some legitimate beefs here and those need to be resolved but the others need to keep their two cents to themselves. Now I have dealt with Matt and the Mother and Daughter team both and had good results. My concern though is that the people responding should walk in these people shoes. If you are unhappy put your money where your mouth is. Be a dealer or breeder and see how easy it is. Show us way ENLIGHTENED ONES. When people start complaining all the time the dealers that are trying just say, "Why should I put up with this Bullshit." and they quit. Thus PetCo, Petsmart and even Walmart stock shares go up once again. before posting consider what you are saying. everyone reads these post from the experienced breeder to the novie. Lets try and promote more of a positive genre because it all boils down to us having the same passion.... Reptiles and snakes have a bad rep as it is. We don't need to downgrade the people who enjoy them. Just some food for thought

I really don't have a problem with your post Michael except for the fact that it adds another off-topic post to this thread. I believe that is part of the problem you're attempting to avoid. There was already a discussion started on this topic here:

KMurphy. I agree with you I accidently brought in another thread and really did not mean to. I think though if some of the people make more of a conscious effort to minimize the "pot stirring" comments I think this can be a bonified source. I believe if someone has a bone to pick go right to the source and take care of it. Unfortunately this motto has gotme in trouble in life because we all know people tend to avoid confrontation and delve in passive aggressive behavior. If this type of behavior continues that is all this board will become and the "Knowledgeable" people (people I can learn from) will stop using it. Unfortunately then it will go by the waste side. I was hoping to bring it to the forefront and make people think because I would not blame the WEBSLAVE in the least to charge people if it minimized the stress and time it takes out of his life. I think we are all hear to learn and become more knowledgeable herpetologists so lets continue in this venture. Thats all I am asking and saying

Good Customer Service

I have read a lot of this thread, I placed my order before I saw this thread, and I became worried about my order. But I will say, I received good service, was let know when the order shipped, the tracking number showed what day the order was shipped, and I received my order on time. I was happy with my service! Thanks Matt.

Am I reading this right? You said you were worried about your order because you ordered it BEFORE you saw this thread, yet you already received your order from Matt yet your join date was 12-5-06? If you could show the tracking number it might make more sense to what you wrote & time frame.

Wow, apparently I have the ability to read the thread before even becoming a member... who woulda thought.

Now for some dates to make people a little more understanding...

So, on Monday November 20th, approximately 10:13 in the morning, I became concerned about some of my snakes, and decided to look into some heat tape, BEHOLD, I found Matt selling heat tape online. I got excited, he was cheaper than most! So the next morning, don't remember what time, I sent Matt an email asking what his costs would be shipped. At 4:53 in the evening, November 21, 2006, I got a reply email from Matt. After measuring and figuring out exactly what I needed, I replied again to Matt, ordering what I needed, then received a PayPal email at 12:54pm, Wednesday November 22, 2006 again. Well, if I didn't receive an email from Matt (or his automatic email showing payment was received at 6:27 pm, November 23, 2006.

Now bear with me, this is where it gets interesting, because I don't remember when exactly I cam across this wonderful post (amazing part is, i was not yet a member!), but I am guessing it was sometime over the following weekend, because I sent Matt an email on Monday November 27, 2006, and received an email in response to my worry at 3:48 that same day, I was told the order was going to ship the next morning. I sent another email, the next day to confirm that my order was shipped, and again received a response at 1:32 pm, Thursday November 28th, with a tracking number, if you really want that tracking number, let me know, but I decided to withhold it, scammers and stuff like that you know... anyways, I checked with the shipper, and low and behold, the shipper was notified about the shipment the same day Matt told me it was shipped... so to get to the point, I received my goodies on Monday December 4th, 2006. I got online to post about my good service with Matt, on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, don't remember what time it was, you might have that information somewhere, and tried to post, "BUMMER",I said, i couldn't post without being a member, so I became a member and posted my first post, I guess I am now a NOOB.

So all in all, I had good dealings with Matt! Loosen up dude, if you still want that tracking number, I am sure something can be arranged. Thanks Matt, good dealings.

Jim, Chris is an ok guy, just doing what some of us do here and making sure a first timer is legit and not a one post wonder.

You'll see it happen over and over again if you hang out here long enough.

Not doubting anyone's character as a whole, I'm sure people would say I am an ok guy as well, but I see a lot of people trying to trash someone's reputation, and some people sticking up for him, so I decide to post about a time Matt comes through... guess I don't understand what the difference is if that was my only post, I got good service, and wouldn't hesitate to order again!

There have been more than a few folks who have come here, made a great post about someone who has had some difficulty, and then simply disappeared, bringing the veracity of their post into question by the lack of their continued presence.

It's not a personal thing, just something that happens here.
