One question...

My parent's are divorced, and I live with my mother.

Where do the snakes live?

At my moms, where I live. Most anyways, I have 1.1 Adult corns, and 1.0 Adult Ball at my dads. Which he takes care of the daily maintainance, water changes, and spot cleaning, I feed and clean out the tanks entirely when Im over.
Otherwise all are at my moms. Where, I am during atleast some part of every day.

OK, Thanks for the quick reply. My next question is about the title of this thread. Mike B. Has asked BOI members to give their opinions on what should be done by him. You have come here and given your side, but you haven't mentioned anything about what you expect from Mike. Lets get that part out in the open so we can continue.

As far as what you should do Mike B. I say you have done more than enough already. He refused to cooperate with your very reasonable request for the necropsy. He fed them far too soon, then he probably did not properly heat them. HE already said he is back and forth from his mom's to his dad's. I can see him leaving mom's house froday evening when it's 70 outside and coming back sunday when it's 20 outside. Not hard to imagine the results if not properly prepared for. I wouldn't worry too much Mike B. I really doubt your reputation could be tarnished by a 15 y ear old kid.

I purchase 3 Corn Snake juvieniles from Mike.
All 3 came bright and early at 9:15 A.M. overnight shipping, the box was properly insulated, nicely heated and packaged great.
Just a side note, all 3 of them ate frozen thawed pinkies after just about an hour being set up in their tubs.

Where were they for the three hours that Mike F. had them before setting them up in their tubs?

Maybe from now on Mike Fortier should be referred to as Mike F. through the rest of this thread as to not cause confusion due to both buyer and seller wit the same name.

First off BOAADICT I can't really understand your post, but I have never sold a unhealthy reptile in my life and my reputation shows it. I am not the admitted lier here, I have always done good business and my reptuation is sterling due to it. Feel free as I stated before to do a search on me here you will find over 50 posts stating I am an honest dealer and always have been. This ordeal has been going on since Thanksgiving and longer if you go back and reread not over the course of a week.

I didn't want to mention his name without his consent but since he has posted now himself Seamus was the one whom offered to pick the snakes up in Mike F.s area to take to get a FREE necropsy done on the snakes. I didn't mention the free part to Mike F. as if they had parasites as he so stated I would have paid anyhow, but he declined as he verified.

I have been in contact with Mike F. now throgh AOL IMs and he now is stating that they arrived cold. I pointed out to him that not only is this not the truth, but I sent him a link to the post he made here on the BOI when he recieved them where he himself states they were heated upon arrival, not only heated but in his exact words 'nicely heated', he now says the heat pack may have been defected. I tend to make a habit of including the heat pack wrapper inthe box of shippments so the buer knows two things, one that it was a new pack, two that it was a 40 hour pack and nothig less than the best.

I regret it ever came to this but I found there to be no other option after Mike F. made his threats. I have nothing to hide and here are all the facts from boths sides, so you decide.

Although it would be beneficial for Mike F. to have a necropsy done to understand what has happened on his end, it is not necessary for your part of the transaction at this stage Mike B.

The difference in time between the quote from the original good guy post and this one regarding fed time and set-up along with Mike F. own quote that he lied about payment is enough said. If Mike F. is now stating that they arrived cold he either lied in his original good guy post or to you now, either way he is lying in one of the two statements. Mike B. you have nothing else to prove I would and so should everyone else choose to believe someone who does not tend to lie.

Mike B. should not be expected to reimburse or give credited on this transaction for any reason at this point. It should be expected of Mike F. to prove that his corns have now passed away for his own credibility for future transactions with other members of this community. Once you have admitted to stating one lie you should be questioned on all your statements. I will also mention that the original post stated that Mike F. was having financial issues, which Mike F. admits to hence his quote that he did not have the proper funds to make his initial purchase agreement this seems to be a common factor in mysterious deaths.

To clarify somewhat, I am not stating that the corn snakes are not deceased I do believe that proof is definitely needed at this point for credibility.

This is all probably going to be in vain, and I know a few individuals who will take particular notice to this, and tell me I am just trying to make excuses for myself.
That is not the case, but this may explain some of why my information doesn't always follow the same plain. I.E. the feed time corresponding to their arrival, and whatnot.
Keep in mind, I want to state I am not trying to make this as an excuse, and I know this won't mean forgiveness. I know this won't go away, and there is a lot I need to do to clear my name in the minds of all involved in this thread, and I know there will always be a lingering bad effect towards me.
Anyways, as for the nicely heated comment, related to the heat pack not being warm to the touch comment. I made the nicely heated comment, because I had no reason to doubt that it wasn't nicely heated over the entire night. I had full respect for Mike B., and I didn't have any reason to believe that the heat pack wasn't running during the night. And, for the feeding times, I had the snakes moved into their enclosures 15mins after their arrival. I gave them the look over when they arrived. I thawed out pinkies about 1.5hrs after their arrival, and fed them. So, the time I fed was actually probably about 2hrs after their arrival. I wasn't watching the clock.
I made the original more hyped up comments simply because I was an excited kid. I mean, I may have been mature enough to have intellegent conversations, but kids are always going to be kids.
I also feel, had I been older than I would've had a better chance of righting myself here on the BOI. I feel that I have been underminded, and not given any sort of fair shot because this is a dispute between a nobody 15 yr old, and a respected dealer. What if I also, was a respected bigger name dealer? Then you all wouldn't be so quick to disregaurd what I have said. I know this is true, it is a stigma that follows the kids here on Fauna. I have seen several kids, knowledgable as some of the adults here being completely ignored, or even outright insulted about what they have said simply because of their age. Really is a sad thing, that we can't be considered equal, and I love to see people jumping ship so fast, at one accusation.
But hey, I'm just a kid, not like I really mattered to any of the people I considered friends before this matter.

Ok this thread is getting ridiculous although im not sure who made the mistake or what, this is a very onesided thread and it seems everyone is assuming since mike f is the minor all the bad is on him. Although he did lie about the money order, doesnt mean he's lied about everything else. I have known Mike F for 3 years now and in that time he has proven to be a very straight edge guy that is very honest. And it seems that people are putting words into his mouth how could you take "I want to settle this between us, I'd rather not take this to the BOI and make it a messy situation" to me that seemed like he'd rather solve it between you guys on your own like mature adults. And who was it that came running to the BOI for help instead of handling it on his own? I think that was you Mike B. Honestly after seeing how this thread is going its just everyone on the big guys side with the reputation and not giving the little guy a chance. Oh ya and about the good guy post, ok maybe he got some facts wrong but i can understand he was probably just really excited and wanted to praise you, big deal his times were like 2 hrs different now whats going to happen in between those 2 hrs i think you guys are just looking for every little fault possible that doesnt even matter and has nothing to do with anything, im done with this thread as i feel its a dumb thread and very onesided.

I don't expect anything done by Mike B. I haven't given him any proof of the deaths, nor have I agree'd to the Necropsy done. He has not a reason to, and if I ask for a refund, he will pick apart every little difference in my statements he can find.
I said to Mike B, "I would pack up the dead snakes, and send them to you at my own cost, just to get my good name back", yet he told me he didn't want the snakes back. How much more proof could you get, then getting the specimens back for your own examination? But, it's too late to salvage anything from this. I could piss and moan, and threaten Mike B with the law because I'm a minor, but why? There is no point in that. Apparently, since MikeB has the better name he must be the right one here, even though he's twisted my words around from the start. So, I'll let MikeB think he is the big man here, for making a 15yr old kid, who loves herps and got the raw end of the stick look like a lying little jerk. I bet he is happy with himself, because hey he doesn't have anything balanced over his head here. The guillotine is completely over me, the little guy as usual.

Mike F. let me offer some advice. I don't believe I've posted on this thread as yet but I've read most of it. I did skip some of the posts but I don't think that's relevant here.

Mike, your childish status is not the issue here. Your excitability is not the issue here. Your age is not the issue here.

The issue is what REALLY happened.

For now, just stop posting. Take a few days and just let it go. Mike B. is a great guy and has a SOLID reputation here. Your self acknowledged childishness is not even comparable to him in regards to business dealings. You have not only not had time to establish a reputation but have done some damage to your image by not telling the truth. It may have been as small as a two hour difference in time between what you told two different people but, and here's the important part, if one is true the other is not. This and conitnued excuses to explain it will do more harm to you than if you just say, and I mean this with sincerity and am trying to help you, "I made a mistake. Give me time and I'll prove that it is not the way I do business. Sorry I messed up."

That's it. Then take care of your animals, participate in chats and threads. Let folks get to know you as you want to be known, not as your are percieved right now. You have not YET done irreparable damage to yourself and some of it can be attributed to youth. Not all of it though.

The more excuses you make, the more guilty of shadiness you appear.

Turn off your computer. Go outside and play with your little friends. You are doing more harm to yourself here than Mike B. ever could.

Trust me on this if nothing else, you are at a crossroads with your future reptile career. The signs say good guy turn right, bad guy go straight ahead. I recommend taking the left. I hope you do.

DAND-, No. The male died to quickly to be offered. The first female that died was found dead on feeding day. The living female refused. I am going to check on her now, I think she'll be dead. As to whether anyone believes me I will doubt that.
