    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think my questioning has been pretty logical Eric, and Mike F has done a good job of answering the best he can, even when he had to admit that he had lied. That took some guts , I'm sure.
What exactly do you think you have added to this thread? Immaturity and an undying loyalty to support the underdog is all I have seen. It is cool that Mike F has friends that support him, but your posts don't even resemble anything even remotely helpfull. At least Mike posts in a manner that leads others to believe that he is an adult. Maybe you could learn a thing or two from him.

Not that it matters really, but how old are you?
 
It is obviously no secret that Davey and I are 'buddies'. Davey is a great guy who knows his care and husbandry and is willing to scarifice to make sure his care the best it can be. I would also like to say he is not only trying to stand up for me in this thread, but he is speaking for those snakes whom can't speak for themselves. All I see in Daveys posts are a true love for herps and that people must respect them AT ALL COSTS, or they should NOT have animals in thier care. Blunt advice no doubt, but as a herper these must be words for us to live by. All of Davey's questions are valid if you were to ask me and need to be brought to light. Any herper wether novice or advance should have resouces to him or herself to get immediate care for animals in thier possesion if they can not handle the situation themselves. Not only that but a back up should be availible readily incase the first option isn't an option. In this particular case the snakes were not privy to that, and the deaths of the second two snakes very well may have been prevented if Davey's advice were every herpers practice. I have no intention of keeping this thread down, all I wish is that facts are shown and something either positive or just a learning experience is taken away from it to all who read it.

Ok, this thread has gotten out of control. Makes me glad MikeB and I are man enough to be able to communicate without any friction to settle this ourselves. It is apparent all the help everyone can bring at this point is done, with the exception of Seamus picking up the snakes for necropsy.
Anyways, I think Davey did bring some good questions. I should be more complete with what I say. I tried calling all the vets in the phone book, not a single one had reptiles, nor were they willing to give me an appointment. So, I would needed to have brought them hours away. I think things will be a lot different, and I think my plans for taking care of an emergency situation will improve when I get my license. That way I can drive my snakes to the vet, not have to hope and pray that a parent is available, and willing.
 
Ok the quotes from the other thread first of all have nothing to do with this one and you didnt even put the full quote so people couldnt even see what i finished saying. And for you davey yes, some of your posts have been logical questions but others have just been no help what so ever and i admit some of mine are the same. Plus theirs really no point in quoting something that happened about two months ago maybe longer. And davey as for me having immature posts, werent you the one telling mikey to cut out the pity party?

The only purpose for the quote was he asked your age. The quote clearly shows you as a minor still leaving at home.

Ummm, I'd say just about any time during the week. Sometime between 2-4 or so would be optimum, as I'd be home, and able to give you as long as you'd like to look over my collection, and what not. I mean, I am sure my care is just fine, in terms of husbandry. I use Natures Spirit "Snake Shacks" 40watt back heat running on a double thermostat connection to ensure that I don't get temp flucs. Depending on the day, I could feed some things for you, the frozen thawed feeders. The 3 balls here, the male rosie, and the carpet python eat f/t. So you'd get a nice look at the feeding responses.
Anyways, what days are you able to come down this week? I'll send you my phone number, and address so you can MapQuest it, and get direct directions.

This one didn't include an address or phone number, merely a statement that an address and phone number would be sent. I had told him via an IM for the initial contact when giving him my email address that I was free every day during the week.

At this point I'm going to go ahead and say that a necropsy would be pretty pointless given the amount of time which has passed. I could still go and get the snakes if everyone really wanted me to do so but I'd bet money that a necropsy would simply be inconclusive if my vet would even be willing to make the attempt in the first place knowing how long they were frozen.
 
SO...This thread ends as it begins. Basically a seller beware. The snakes very well may be dead, but without any kind of proof this late in the game, it just looks like an attempted scam. Whether it is or not, we wont ever know.This is just one of those hard lessons learned for everyone. I hope everyone learned the importance of not selling to minors, and for those who have animals that die shortly after getting them, the need to take responsonsibility for the living but possibly unhealthy survivors. I hope we also learned the importance of a timely necropsy. Who knows what could have happened? All we have to go on is no evidence of death and an offer for a cost free fully facilitated necropsy denied.Too late for pics, too late for anything.

I contacted Seamus about a necropsy. I gave him dates I was available, he never returned my email. I also have been in contact with Mike. You have no idea about what is going on at this point, and I feel this post was completely unecessary? What are you proving by this post? Being the one to get the last word in, or seem like the guy who knows exactly what is going on, and needs to sum it up for everyone. I mean, really why exactly did you post this? When the people who are actually involved unlike you, I.E. MikeB and I are handling it privately, and have already settled the arguement on the BOI here, I don't see any single reason for this except for you to try and knock me down.
 
Mike, I dont care if you like my post or not. Nothing has been added to this thread for a while now. How is anyone who is watching supposed to know what is going on in private? I am sorry that you don't like this being talked about this in public, but it was YOUR idea to bring it here. If something is in the works, share it here. The necropsy is out, and pics are worthless now. Nothing of any value has come from any of your posts really. You pleased the naysayers for a while by agreeing to a necropsy, and despite it being free, and trouble free for you, you neglected to have that done.
Bottom line is that nothing you have said has been proven, and you haven't followed through on anything. That is enough at any age for most of us not to deal with you, but then add in the age factor and you are not exactly the ideal customer. Get the "seller beware" now?
When in fact this is all settled , and you prove us all wrong, you can call me a fool. Reguardless, at the end of this thread, I will be awarding you rep points for you participation. That way, everyone who checks your rep points, and the threads where you got them, THIS will be the one they see.
 
I have already recieved rep points on this thread. I also did not neglect to get the necropsy done. What am I supposed to do, hunt Seamus down? I emailed him, and he never responded. You surely cannot blame me for that. I bet Seamus was busy, he usually seems to be bobbing around places. It isn't either one of our fault that we couldn't work out the necropsy. It isn't from my neglect.
Also, I never made a comment about your saying "buyer beware". I certainly agree I have work to do, and a few years to age before anyone should even consider selling to me. I understand that, and understand exactly why that is and there is nothing I can do to reverse that, except take time, and show everyone that I can be trusted, though I doubt that'll ever fully happen, unless a sale goes smoothly, or there is, as bad as a thought, I receive a dead snake and follow the procedure to a T. Pictures, saving the body (which I did), and all of that. I'd rather it not take that to prove my honesty, I'd rather just earn everyone's trust back, no matter how hard that may be no need for a reptile to die.
Also, I tried arranging a vet appointment, and I told you the responses I got numerous times. From every vet within 1 hour.
 
I wasn't busy at all... I just never got an address. The two emails posted above are the only two I recieved at any point and I was waiting to see just how far away you were before commiting to a specific time. In the first email you stated that another would be forthcoming with an address and phone number... it never arrived.

If you sent it then I've gotta ask... you made sure it was the earthlink.net address, right? My old AOL addresses are dead and gone, have been for a few months now... and earthlink.com doesn't work as far as I know.
 
Small addition... The idea of a necropsy is pretty much no good at this point with the duration of time that has passed. I'm still willing to help either of you guys in any manner within my means to resolve this thing though so if either of you need anything from me as a third party... Just let me know.
 
Seamus, you have done more than anyone could have asked of you and it is greatly appreciated. Just the fact you were so willing to help in this situation by making yourself available speaks volumes of your charactar. Thanks again, it's good to know people like yourself.

Why didn't you give him your address when you contacted him? In the same amount of time you typed this...

...you could have provided your phone number and address to Seamus.
 
Purely wild guesswork here but- If he had provided an address, I would have shown up at his house looking for dead snakes. Since photos haven't been provided and nobody besides Mike F has seen the bodies...

Well, some wild accusatory speculation might lead one to the conclusion that the snakes aren't actually dead and Mike F was just trying to obtain some of the other six animals he was initially interested in...

Or that at this point he realizes full (or perhaps did from the begining?) that Mike B isn't culpable for the death of the animals, given that the siblings still with him are eating well and doing fine. Since a timely necropsy would have verified that Mike B isn't to blame and that the animals were not parasite ridden as Mike F contends (and yeah, I do have to ask what symptoms they were displaying that led him to that conclusion to begin with) it would have left him S.O.L. leaving it open ended he might still try to work around a way to blame Mike B and now it's entirely a matter of their individual credibility rather than verifiable fact.

Of course I'm just a cynic sometimes. And maybe I'm taking the fact that my offer to help settle this was left hanging past the point where Mike F KNEW that a necropsy would be worthless (since it was mentioned that it was borderline when the whole thing started, several times by several people in posts he definitely read) a bit personally. Of course I wasn't cynical enough to realize that he tried to hang it on ME by saying I never responded to his emails until it was pointed out to me by a third party. There was nothing in them to respond to! I can't very well determine which time would be best for me (although really, I didn't do much of anything all week) without knowing where he lives so I can calculate travel time.

So at this point while I am still willing to help Mike Berberman if there's anything with my power (and he feels it's needed, probably isn't given the circumstances but that's entirely his call)... I really have to look at Mike F's apparant unwillingness to provide ANY evidence that he's in the right with his claims and ask myself why that's the case. An attempt to hide guilt is my best guess... but it's just a guess.
