Maybe someone more in the know than i am, with regard to criminal law, will be able to comment on the following...

Which legal ramifications (if any?) will/would Tere be facing should the Tucson police follow through on an investigation? Would her moving the money for mike be considered 'laundering?' Would it be 'accessory after the fact?' I am not looking to get her into trouble, but rather worry about a good person (Tere) be dragged down with this filth (mikey).

Gino, that very thing is what's been troubling me since I found out what really happened with Ebay and Paypal. As I said before, I already contacted those entities. It wasn't until this morning that (with a little help from a friend) that I realized I needed to notify the police, as well.

I guess the chips will fall where they may, and I will have to accept whatever is decided. But I'm sure not going to hide out like someone else because I don't have the nerve to admit that what I did was wrong, whether I knew it at the time or not.

Hey Bry, no hard feeling here at all, I knew he would show his true colors to you one day. I also knew you and Laura are good guys, I just hate that he lied to you and used you. I am a firm believer in (there is nothing hidden that won't be seen one day). Scammers think they have it going on, and then they get busted in the end. The bad thing is the true friends that mike had (Tere, You, Laura, Art, Cory, Michael, Paul, Jim O and Etc, Etc, Etc, are the ones to suffer. They all truly cared about Mike, but Mike only cared about himself.

As for his attempts at suicide, well that would never happen, Mike loves Mike too much.

As for the fund, I would love to help, but I am spent out on Christmas. If I come up with some more funds before Christmas, I will be more than glad to donate.

Mike you are pure trash dude, what goes around comes around. I know you are reading this, you always hide, what a real piece of trash.

She would face no trouble. She was an unwitting pawn in Mike's scheme. She would be considered and used as a witness against Mike. The paper trail she could provide would be excellent evidence against Mike.

Tere you wont have anything to face except cooperation. sinc eyou did not knowingly launder anything you simply pulled money out and he was decitful aout it, you are exempt so far as that is true and you cooperate. i have spoken with someone else locally who had similar happening and you are also covered because you took the steps to notify authorities.

Jacklyn, first sorry this has happened to you. Secondly, it is a requirement of the BOI to have your full name on every post. I would hate to see your posts get deleted because this rule is strctly enforced. And last, where in AZ are you located? I have a very good reason to ask.

I am so sorry you have to go through this again with him. After Mike's last episode in 2005 I had made this post on 10/23/05. Unfortunately Mike will never change and he will continue to prey on the caring, sympathetic and all around true good guys and gals. Mike I hope this one finally gets you locked up because you and I both know if it doesn't you will just find more victims.

Very well put. In fact to continue to lie to so many people and cause problems for those trying to help you would in my opinion constitute as a sociopath. Oh wait were you saying Mike the sociopath? Having some experience in the mental health field and with people of this nature I would stay far away. For someone to methodically manipulate people in this manner and use excuses of that nature are in my opinion wrong and make for a very dangerous individual. Dangerous in the sense they don't care how their actions effect you as long as they can get what ever they want achieved. You can say I am jumping the gun without proof etc..., but this is the lowest of low and shows a person who will use any means to achieve their goals. This is someone I would never be able to afford giving a second chance too. I have no sympathy or remorse for what is surely waiting for him around the corner. He needs to be out of the business for good.

WOOT Kristie!!! Just so you know, most of the people in the reptile industry have hearts of gold. We protect each other, and watch out for scams. We are a self policing group. Many have set that bar of standards very high and when one of our own hurts others for financial gain....god help them.

I just got done reading through all of this and the people that prey on the weak are just sick.

Just wanted to express my sorrow for anyone that has ever got sucked into his scams and I wish everyone of you the best to move ever onward and not let this hold you back in any way at all. The worse things always happen to the best people, its just the way it is.

Just looking at this thread I see a few people that would not normally get along but all pulling together to help these families.

It puts a black mark on us all when one of us does something like this. The opinion of many is that the "freaks" who keep reptiles are scary, tattoo'ed, prison, gang, seedy types........you get the idea.

Some of us are tattooed, some of us are scary......but mostly we are normal people just like everyone else~ and our choice of hobby is often so quiet and unoffensive that if you don't know US or have not been in our homes to see our pets~ you'd never think of us as a "freak."

As a community it is in the good interest of us all not to let Mike make us all look bad. I'm so proud of this community pulling together to give Christmas back to those families!

I had been friends ( I thought ) with Mike for awhile. Talked to him regularly , sold him some critters etc , etc. I had no reason to doubt anything he told me since as far as I could tell he had been honest with me in the past and had no reason to lie to me.

Sometime in Nov, I called Mike to see how he was doing. He told me there were probs with his mom. She had been hurt and was loosing her house. He said he couldn't afford the plane ticket home so I asked him how much it was. He said he found a cheap red eye flight for just over $200 but was short. I jumped off the phone , drove the hour to the nearest Western Union and sent him the ticket money. I called him on my way home to let him know the money was on its way to go see his mom.

2 days later he called to say his uncle was taking care of it. No big deal , I told him to put the money towards the website Mike and Cory was building for us ( me & Laura ). He said no prob , I'd get the bells and whistles for the gesture.

A couple months later Mike paid off one of the boas I was selling him , letting me know how long it would take to pay off the other. I had no reason to not trust him so I boxed them up and sent them on. When he got the box he called to reassure the het albino would be paid for soon. I told him Merry X-mas and left the het as a gift.

The website was built but due to personal reasons on our end , we couldn't get it hosted so there it sat , 95% done waiting on us. Time went by and then everything went to Hell in a hand basket.

Him and Cory were having problems , etc , etc. He'd call 3 - 4 times a week , talking to either me or Laura. Sometimes until sun up. We were getting alot of bad info on Cory and that our website was kicked way back on the burner. No worries since we still couldn't get it hosted.

In just a few months it went from him and Cory not getting along to Mike being taken away for a suicide attempt made up by Cory to having an intervention on Cory's behalf. I stopped taking the calls because it was getting ridiculous. The night of the " intervention " Mike called saying a bunch of folks that were part of the " intervention " showed up to help Cory move out. That set off red flags.

We called other folks that we knew that also knew Mike. The info we got was disturbing. I washed my hands of him and Cory , not wanting to be associated with the drama. I chalked up loosing our web site, wanted to know where to send the box Mike had sent and just not deal with either again.

We found out about the e-bay thing Weds , not being directly involved we offered an ear and support to the folks that were drug into it. I was shocked to find out that not only the stories Mike told us about his brother and sister stealing his mom's money was a lie , but he scammed folks out of their x-mas money too.

We are so done with Mike we no longer take his calls at all and we don't want Rebel Dragons or Rebel Designs in any way connected to us. So we're out our web site and scammed for $200. Which is a drop in a bucket in comparison to those he scammed on his e-bay auctions.

My heart goes out to those he ripped off over the PS3s and I hope you do get your money back and Mike finds a new life partner in prison. Mike's situation is of his own doing and no excuse or apology will ever be enough for what he's done.

I've already offered an apology to Tere , I offer one now to Bobby for ever doubting him during the beardie fiasco. Sorry Bobby , your a good guy and I never should have questioned that.

The other nick is Turtlemania. He's only used it once that I know of. Supposedly he used it to dodge Wes , LMAO.
