    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Mike Shoemaker - Rebel Dragons BAD GUY

Hi Folks!

We've gotten closer to Ebay believing that Mike is a problem. Check out what they sent me today! Now, lets see how long it is before they decide the send us our money. -Marianna

The following is a notice from eBay Trust & Safety regarding:

Item Number - 290184091837

Item Title - Sony PlayStation 3 - Game console - black

Our records show that you were a bidder or buyer of one or more of this seller's items. We recently removed this seller's active listings and suspended the seller's trading privileges. Due to privacy concerns we cannot share further details about this seller.

If the seller asks you to complete this transaction outside of eBay, we strongly recommend that you do not proceed with the transaction. Transactions for items listed on eBay but then completed off of the eBay platform are not covered by buyer protection programs offered by eBay and can be highly indicative of fraud. For more information on Offers to Buy or Sell Outside of eBay, copy and past the following Help Page link into your browser: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/rfe-spam-non-ebay-sale.html.

If you have already paid for this item but have not received it, you should take all possible steps to receive reimbursement.

1. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the buyer can close their Item Not Received dispute and escalate it to a claim. If the transaction was paid for using PayPal and qualifies for PayPal Buyer Protection the claim will be routed to PayPal for review typically within 30 days. (http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/faq/itemnotreceivedprocess.html)
2. Stop payment with your bank if you paid by check.
3. Contact the Security Department of your credit card company to file a chargeback if you paid via credit card.
4. If you paid via Western Union or MoneyGram, contact the company directly (Western Union 800-325-6000 or MoneyGram 800-926-9400). eBay does not protect payments made via Western Union or MoneyGram per our Acceptable Payments Policy (http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html).
5. If you paid with PayPal, eligible transactions will receive coverage up to $200 at no additional cost. However, the majority of transactions may be covered up to $2,000. To file a claim with PayPal, login to your PayPal account and copy and paste the following link into your web browser: http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/protections-buyer-outside. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the File a Claim link. PayPal claims must be filed within 45 days of the close of the listing. It may take at least 30 days to complete the investigation and resolve the dispute.

Please do not respond to this email, as your reply will not be received.

eBay Trust & Safety

Maybe I'm just a really untrusting person~ but I would not follow that link to paypal or copy and paste that address into your address bar. It's too publicly known that you nice folks have been ripped off and how to get a hold of you. If I were you I would type in www.paypal.com into your address bar~ and then look for links WITHIN paypal for the fraud protection.

it made a link when I typed in the address I would use if I were you~ never follow a link to paypal (even from a nice person like me!) always type it in yourself and check your spelling before you hit enter.

Law Enforcement Agencies

Thanks for your response, Chuck.

The other issue that I would like clarification on is which actual law enforcement agency the victims should be contacting...

After reading this thread, I got the impression that the victims were being told to contact their local PD. Should they not be calling mikey's (Tucson) PD? Or is their local PD responsible for following-up in AZ?

Sincerely,

Gino Beniquez

Thats the low budget PS3 according to my son That one will not play ps2 games. You have to buy the better one to play the old ps3 games. If not for him telling me that I would have never known the diffrence. LOL

Thanks Cheryl! I should have removed the link information before I posted Ebay's reply. Trust me (and you can), I don't follow the links!!!

This isn't going to be an answer to your question, obviously, but I'd like to say, for the record, I still haven't had a return call from Tucson P.D.

Should have read PS2

I hope they take care of it. I'd sure hate to have to change to some new service. Took long enough to get used to PayPal as it is. LOL

But I have to say, if they can't seem to expedite this matter, and get these people back their money in time for Christmas, I ain't so sure I would want to use their services anymore. I can accept CC through my own bank if I needed to.

Christmas is upon us soon, they don't have much time to replace their gifts.

I don't do much on ebay and almost everything I've purchased on that site also was payable by money order or credit card. I'm not happy with how they've handled this and will be looking into Googlepay for my snakes that I sell.

I apologize for the off topic tangent, but I highly recommend Google checkout. Recently someone hacked my account at Buy.com and used my Google checkout account to attempt to buy a $2000 laptop and have it shipped to them in another state. Initially the sale was accepted but within one minute Google rejected the sale and froze the account, never even charging my credit card. I doubt that PayPal would have been as astute.

Yup, that PS3 can't play older games. Which sucks because 1) There are many great PS2 and 1 games and 2) the PS3 games are expensive!!!

Once again, paypal has proven useless. :angry:

See my post in the Josh Sharp thread.

Paypal, if you are reading this, start helping out people that got burnt. Where is the so-called "buyer protection"?

Paypal's buyer protection is a flat out LIE!

From their terms.
1.1 PayPal is only a Payment Service Provider. PayPal helps you make payments to and accept payments from third parties. PayPal is an independent contractor for all purposes, except that PayPal acts as your agent only with respect to the custody of your funds. PayPal does not have control of or liability for the products or services that are paid for with our Service. We do not guarantee the identity of any User or ensure that a buyer or a seller will complete a transaction.

Another item from their TOS.

Hopefully Mike met these criteria otherwise buyer protection does not apply.

seller's eBay feedback rating is at least 50;
At least 98% of the seller's eBay feedback is positive;

Paypal needs to step up to the plate and stop allowing people to get ripped off. :angry:

See my post in the Josh Sharp thread as well while you're there.

Gino, you need to go through your local PD to file a complaint and they will send it on so to speak.

I've said this a number of times IE Paypal does not cover in any way, shape or form the purchasing or selling of Live animals of any kind.. I think that many don't know this or figure(as I did) that hey I haven't had a problem yet! I didn't have any problems till it cost me a grand then I had a real problem with Paypal. As far as EBay owning Paypal -- sure seems like a conflict of interest to me... Randy

Hello

Hello,

Nope, Tracie, not a peep from them, yet. I'm going to try contacting them again today, as I'm hoping to have a free second or two.
