• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I apologize for the off topic tangent, but I highly recommend Google checkout. Recently someone hacked my account at Buy.com and used my Google checkout account to attempt to buy a $2000 laptop and have it shipped to them in another state. Initially the sale was accepted but within one minute Google rejected the sale and froze the account, never even charging my credit card. I doubt that PayPal would have been as astute.

I have also switched my online business to Google Checkout wherevever possible. Plus, the Gmail webmail server beats the *insert expletive* out of the other "biggies". (yahoo, hotmail, etc.)

Back on topic. Wow, what a thread. Faunadrama at it's best, and I don't mean that in a bad way. True human drama can sometimes be truly compelling. Sometimes not. In this case, it is.

It makes me feel good to know that Mike Screwmaker is finally recognized for what he is. But, what really floats my boat is the way the members here are pitching in to help the victims.

Mike preyed on that compassion, but it will survive long after he is gone.

One of my favorite pastimes is kicking at the slats of the status quo, but this time, the status quo is working just fine. I may have to take back some of the things I said over the years.

Merry Christmas, all.

Dennis Thomas:

Do we have an exact total of how many that were scammed did NOT receive a refund and have they posted proof yet that they did in fact pay? I may have missed this information.

As far as I can tell, the only two people who haven't been refunded AND posted proof that they paid Mike are:

Marianna Bater (Redsox-fan) in the amount of $387.68
AND
Jacklyne Volpe (Eddieabrigo-Ebay) (Nueb-Fauna) in the amount of $342.70.

I know that Marianna has had contact with a few other people that have yet to be refunded, as well, but none of them have come here and shown that they paid.

Also, Kristi (Oinkette) and her son, Brandon (BrandonB) have already been refunded by Paypal.

I have this feeling that I missed something, so please forgive me if I did, and feel free to correct me if needed.

Tere,

Neither of the two folks who contacted me through ebay never wrote in to this forum. I hope they followed up on their police reports! The other person who was refunded by PayPal was efprealtor.

Thanks!

Marianna

Ok Tere, the dead line is here. I need to know who to send funds to and then all of us need to decide on a children's charity to send the balance to.

Dennis-

From re-reading this thread just to make sure, Marianna Bater and Jacklyne Volpe are the only two that showed that they had paid Mike, and have not been reimbursed.

Marianna Bater (Redsox_fan) paid Mike $387.68 (including shipping) and Jacklyne Volpe (Nueb on Fauna and Eddieabrigo on Ebay) paid Mike $342.70 (including shipping).

I do not have either of their email addresses, however. I've been communicating with them through this thread and PM. I do have a way to get in touch with Jacklyne by phone, and will do that shortly.

Marianna, can you let us know your email address for Paypal?

Dennis, I don't know if this is possible, but is there a way to donate to a foster care agency? That would be my vote, simply because, due to my work, I'm very familiar with the problems these children face on a daily basis, particularly the children with special needs who are in foster care.

I don't think that you can get much more worthwhile than an organization that helps sick children...and I doubt that you'll find an organization that will make better use of the money than the Children's Miracle Network.

http://www.childrensmiraclenetwork.org/

I say that as someone who has seen first hand what they do for children.

You are exactly correct. Much better idea than mine. Thank you.

Good idea Jay.

Hi everyone!

My email address is [email protected].

Once again, I don't know how to thank you all! You are all truly WONDERFUL people! If there is EVER anything that I can do for you, PLEASE let me know!

I am going to be watching for any reports of further action taken against Mike. I keep thinking about his poor mother. Does anyone know his uncle or brother or how to get in touch with them? They really should petition the court to get Ms. Shoemaker's Power of Attorney taken away from Mike! If there's any money left, I'm sure it will be needed for her health care.

Thanks again, EVERYONE!!!

Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy New Year! You all deserve it!

Marianna,

I need you to go into your paypal options and allow for payments from unverified addresses. After I send the payment, you can switch it back. I can not send the funds until you do this.
