I have had some over the years hatch out with a depression like that. I haven't been able to figure out why, though I noticed that in all 3 cases the eggs looked like they were going to burst throughout the last couple of weeks of incubation, more so than normal. I have wondered if it was due to them outgrowing the egg before hatching, not sure how to prove it though. However, I have never and will never breed them with a de-formed head, something that I guess Dan has no problem doing....
