    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree with you. I don't think they were sold here. He currently has them posted on Reptileauctions and has marked them as sold..however he did so while the auction is still live. So the people who bid on them, are quite unhappy with him right now as what he did is against their TOS.
 
I don't know what to think right now about Dan Quinn.... I had heard nothing but good things about him until now. I paid him $95 for a leo about a month ago. Dan cashed the check 2/15, and told me that he was going to wait until the weather got warmer. That was fine by me. But then this Tuesday, he informed me he would be shipping the gecko out the next day. So I made it a point to stay home Thursday, and the leo didn't come. He sent me an email late Thursday night stating the leo would be out in the mail Friday. So once again, I changed my plans so I would be home today. Still no leo. I have sent 3 emails since responding to the one he sent on Thursday night, and none of them have been answered. I'm gonna give him one more chance to make the delivery for Tuesday. I really can't keep skipping my college classes or work for this. I'm starting to get concerned.
 
That is not a good thing to do after everything has happend Dan!

Hopefully you will get your money back or a Leo..... Although you might want to be in contact with your bank on Monday--> Just tell them that you never got what you payed for--That you never got anything! Banks are normally good with this kinda stuff!

It is starting to seem like Dan doesnt care about his cutomers or fellow reptile keepers. Judging from the skinniness of those he had on reptibid, I hope you are planning on quarenting the one you are getting from him and get a fecal in to the vet....the care of his animals is going the same way as his consideration towards others...
 
I thought I should post this, he said he is sending the leo out on Monday and apologized saying he had a hectic week. This is the last time I'm taking off for this, so hopefully this time it'll actually be sent.
 
Good luck! I hope you do get your gecko from him, and like Shannan said, make sure you quarantine! we have seen some pretty rough looking geckos of his lately.

I am assuming he is still doing absolutely nothing about Ryan and Valerie? How pathetic. Oh well, he ruined his reputation in the reptile world already and lost a lot of people's respect, at just 18. Sad. I have been reading this thread since it was posted and every time I see a new post on it, in the back of my mind I hope he had finally decided to try to resolve everything. Guess thats never gonna happen.
 
Has anyone alerted the "fish world" of his latest "reputable dealings?" Wasn't there a post about him wanting to sell to get into fish?
 
I was checking Dan's website to see any fish dealings he had but I didn't see any. One thing for sure though is that his geckos sure look different! He did take down his good guy banner (sorry if anyone already said this, I don't know how long its been off), but still has his other banners. I had to laugh that he had a caresheet, too bad he probably doesn't follow it. His links also amused me considering most of the people still on there do not approve of him at all. This was in his news: "1/15/05/: We've got eggs!, yep, thats right 2 nice fertile clutches from Lily and Bindi, i may not let anygo from lily yet, but i will be offering a couple from bindi". Let geckos go? Nah.

Anyway, I do agree with Gene that someone with any connections to the fish industry should spread the news pronto!

Good luck with that, pretty poor time to ship though, considering Monday will be in the mid 20's with a drop into the teens overnight. I sure hope he packages his geckos better than he cares for them as I doubt his live arrival guarantee is worth the paper it is written on.....

Yeah, I just looked at that. When he was supposed to ship it, it was in the upper 40s and all the snow had melted. Although, I had a gecko shipped to me last year in a blizzard in the low 20s by Fedex, and it arrived alive in great condition. The box was even still warm. This is so aggrivating. I do feel a little bad about all of this though, Dan is really young, isn't he?

Well, you would think but in this case it seems the mom had a different type of parenting skills than most... perhaps "right and wrong" took a backseat to "lie and cheat".
 
Leo's not coming today... Something about losing my address or something. I don't know. Dan's got one more chance, which is for the leo to be delivered on next Tuesday, which is my bday, so I will be home. Otherwise, that's the last time I can wait, and I'm asking for my money back. I'm beginning to wonder if this leo still exists though....
 
Did he try to get in touch with you yesterday to get your address? Or, is this just another bad excuse?
 
Nope, I got an email late last night which by then it was obviously too late. He has my phone number and email address, it's not difficult to get in touch with me. I run an online store and he has that address, which has all of my contact info on it. I sent him my cell phone number last night, so he has no excuse next time.

Here's what I sent him, and what he sent is at the bottom. I think I have every reason to be a little po-ed at this point.

Ok... You can probably tell by now, I'm a little annoyed by all of this. I took off for tomorrow.. again... I can understand the weather conditions, but it seems like everytime the gecko is supposed to go out, he doesn't. I don't know if I can take off again, especially since next week will be my midterm exams... According to the 10-day weather forcast, it's going to be in the high 30s next week. My birthday is on Tuesday and I will be home that day only. If you can shoot for it to be delivered that day, that would be really great, otherwise, I'm gonna have to ask for a refund for this.

hey, i had him all set up and ready to go, and came one here to get the address and it was gone, i had opened up my last heat pack and called UPS to come and pick him up, and i cannot find your address anywhere.

What do you bet his next excuse will be that he used his last heat-pack! I think it's time to take some kind of legal action against this obvious "Bad Guy".
 
He just sent me emails with the same leo pictures saying he is sending them to me. I just posted a bad guy thread on him for bait and switching on me on a auction for 11 leos. Then I see this thread. The ones he said he is sending instead are the ones discussed here. I don't know how to post the pictures he sent, but their descriptions are in my Bad Guy post.
 
I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. It's a shame those geckos aren't going to be in your care, because I'm sure they would have a better home. :no01:

I can't believe he said 'join the others in bad mouthing me.' Honestly, we'd have no reason to bad mouth him if he didn't make the choices he did..we're not mean kids at the playground throwing rocks. And to think he did all of this with 'God by his side' makes me sick.
