    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

In Ohio business contract law... if any two businesses do a transaction.. and there is a legal dispute.. regardless of where the second party is.. they must come to Franklin County.. hence Matt losing his first case to have it judged in Florida. In business to consumer transactions, it is where the consumer resides.

Question though, wouldn't just a $2,500 lawsuit be handled in small claims court. If I remember correctly from college (I could be wrong here.. please correct me if I am) in small claims it is not the job of the court to actually collect whatever settlements or rulings are made. Liens would not be put on his home.. but.. granted.. all this is assuming that Matt would win.. and we know what happens when you assume!
 
The court issues a judgement. Then it is up to the one who gets the judgement in his favor to collect on that judgement.

The one good thing about a lien is that no matter how long timmy waits he can't sell any propertie with a lien on it. Then there is interest that will come into play. Matt may have to wait a long time but he may well get the final laugh if he does this.

As far as Ohio business law is concerned, are either parties bonafide business entities? Just because someone has a business name doesn't mean they are really a business.

Since this was an interstate commercial transaction, wouldn't this be a case for federal court?

Whatever. Matt should consider the principle of this thing. No matter what the expense, it would be instructive for future business transactions with him if the person sending him an animal were to know that Matt would spare no expense at rubbing the sellers nose in the crap he left on his doorstep. The several thousand dollars it may take would be well worth the money for the satisfaction it would give and the reputation rendered afterwards. To just drop it at this point will leave an open sore that will never go away.
 
hmmm... No words from Matt on here about him pursuing this in Ohio court... maybe he wasn't be totally honest on here about what happened... hmmmmmmm

If that is what he thinks... I wonder why he has gone as far as he had already. He has wasted quite a bit of time, effort and money already!

Actually not really. I am looking to get into arboreal snakes (having been looking and researching for a while). Tim was on my list of people to buy from. Matt has saved me from that mistake so while Matt did not get anything out of it, it has not been a waste of time.

You talk about Matt not saying anything about an option he may not have even known was an option all of 3 or 4 hours after I tossed it out there. He may not have even read this thread today, it is a weekend.

Why is it 8 times out of 10 that you are speaking up for or just plain speaking for timmy? Is he so incapable of defending himself that you must? Never mind, I already know he is incapable of defending himself just from this thread.

What I don't understand is why YOU constantly keep things going or stir things up by being his defender. I see no purpose served by your actions other than atagonism both to timmy and to you. Perhaps you could let timmy voice his own opinion if he actually has one to voice.

How novel is that idea, good ol' stick up for timmy scotty letting timmy speak for himself......Wow, I sure would like to see that for a change.

Actually.. to tell you the truth.. I have enjoyed getting you and others all riled up with my posts. It has been a great distraction to my very long and stressfull days (the lull for home improvement companies just started..so it is stressfull right now.... ). Actually.. reading your posts (especially this one) have made it all worthwhile. Considering looking at all of your warnings on this forum... alot of people seem to like to get you all worked up, don't they?

Am I here to start trouble? No not really... but.. I will continue to post my observations about this deal and any others that are posted on the BOI that I find interesting.

If this forum has now degenerated to the point in which others cannot post their observations on threads posted here.. why are these not "read-only" forums? Oh yea.. thats right.. because we are allowed to post our ideas and observations freely.. and it doesn't even matter if we agree or disagree with the majority.. we still have the chance to post them. Its your choice to reply or not.

If you have actually read the reasons for my points you know that I tend to say words I shouldn't, not get too mad to speak what I mean. Oh well, we all have our shortcomings. Much like you seem to have brown nose so bad that it is down to your shoulders. We all make our own choices. Kiss what you will.

It does seem that your observations are almost always in favor of a scumbag who knowingly sent a diseased snake to a buyer who had to pay up front for the sick snake. It seems that on other threads where you attempt to play devils advocate that you just try to stir things up by defending people that really seem to be bad guys. Again, we all make our own choices and if you want to defend scumbags to "rile up" some of us then keep on keeping on but, you should know that the whole "rile up" thing is not quite working out as you seem to think it is.

I have been surprised a couple of times at your choices in who you defend and how you do it but, you do have every right to post whatever you want here. It has been rather amusing more than once to see you try to make a point that just isn't valid.

If you could pull your head out of timmy's butt you might see that any attempt to defend him would be recieved with derision as it rightly should be. There is NO doubt that the snake was infected when shipped and very little doubt that timmy knew something was wrong with it before it shipped. But hey, as you say, it's amusing for you so keep it up, you're not the only one laughing.

Actually.. there are those that do have doubts that it is the same snake.. as I have made this arguement in the past. I cannot prove that it is the same looking at pictures. Someone posted that they believe Tim said they were the same in an earlier post.. but I am yet to find it.

What I see when I read this thread.. is people responding with emotional responses after looking at the pictures Matt posted... but.. if you look at my prior statement..you can see as to why I post the way that I do. I believe in one post, I did say that if it can be proven the snake was the same snake sent.. then.. things would be different.

I think this thread has run its course and what is now being posted has been discussed many times over and answered many times over. Most have made up their minds about what happened and have expressed their views and I appreciate all of the great input!

Well Nett.. why don't you prove to me it is the same snake.. and "Matt said so" is not a valid reply.

Or.. am I going to get the same "no one needs to prove anything to you" reply that I have heard so many times already. (and just for the record, that answer... just makes my stance on it being a different snake even stronger)
