In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Man.. If I were you I would have blanked out say the middle 3 numbers of each number not his. All those phone numbers posted on the net makes me nervous.

I think you've posted a ton of info for your side. He hasn't addressed any of the issues brought up to him.

A few points, Nick...

--You are in Colorado. Robert needs good temps not only on his end, but at the hub between him and you, and in your state/area as well. I grew up in Eastern Colorado, and spent the last two years living out there...so you know as well as I do, the weather is absolutely insane...Colorado is like no other place on earth, and can have massive temperature swings within a matter of hours, not to mention over a period of days. I've scraped ice/snow off my windshield in the morning, had to change into shorts by noon, and then pulled off the I-70 interstate by evening because of thunderstorms and hail so bad I couldn't see the road. If you truly cared about boas as much as you say, you would never put a shipping date over their well being, period. A buyer who honestly cared about the animals, would be much more concerned about them arriving safely.

--you've stated if Robert now ships the boas, you will refuse them...really???? For someone who talks so much about how you and your family love boas, you sure have a funny way of showing it. (Not saying Robert would ever do this, just making a point)What if Robert had called your bluff, and shipped them anyway, Nick? If you are that determined to be right at the expense of those innocent lives, you really need to find a hobby that doesn't involve living things.

--You have this really high paying job, but you can't afford two days off? First of all, if you didn't have a confirmation from Robert for shipping, it's your fault, and totally on you, that you lost those days. You made the choice to take the days off, not Robert, and you have only yourself to blame for that one. Second, any job that pays as much as you are claiming you lost, would have paid personal days, or paid sick days you could have used, period. Nice try, but I'm not buying it. Lots of people have jobs...how about asking the seller to ship to your job, in a box marked 'perishable', I've done this for a number of my customers, so they wouldn't have to be home to get it.

I've never done business with Robert, but have read many of his posts on another forum I visit...from the professional way he conducts himself there, (and has on this thread) I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy from him in the future. He has some really nice CA boas and I'd have already purchased from him if my own health and living situation weren't so screwed up right now.

I have to comment on a few items in Heather's post - not because I care to side with Nick, but because they aren't necessarily realistic.

- Not every job offers paid time off.
- It isn't always possible to get scheduled time off at the last minute, and I can certainly relate to "wasted days" because of a change in plans.
- Calling in/out sick is not always a reasonable option. Many employers have explicit policies regarding unscheduled time off. As an example, 3 unscheduled absences in 3 months would be subject to disciplinary action in any of the places I have worked in my current field. (And Nick already took two days off in anticipation of delivery)
- Not everybody can get packages delivered to their workplace.

Again, these statements are simply regarding Heather's post, and there should be no implication of support for Nick read into any of them.

Nick also ASSUMED that the snakes were being shipped WITHOUT sending any confirmation that they could be shipped on the proposed dates. Since he'd already said he wasn't ready and needed time to make space, shipping them out blind without getting a confirmation would have been irresponsible on the part of the seller.
Since Nick got his 2 days off in a row with little to no prior notice(checking date of email asking if shipping those days was okay), then it shouldn't have been such a huge deal. It would have been better for him to take a whole minute to send a confirmation that he could receive the snakes on those days.

Even with Nick's argument that he sent money so obviously he wanted the snakes, this seems like buyer's remorse to me.

100's of snakes bought over the past few months, and the two days he had to take off of work for Robert's expected shipment (that wasn't confirmed) are the ones that matter? He says in one email that he hasn't taken time off in a couple years, thus the ski trip...but he received 100's of snakes? Who signed for those? I read that neighbors were involved in some of those. Why were neighbors enlisted for Robert's snakes? Why is it that Robert's shipment is the ONLY one where Nick had to take off work to be there personally, but didn't confirm that they were shipped? He plans to buy more snakes from Ben Seigel when he is refunded this money... Who will be there to receive those? Taking a day off? If so why not take a day off and accept the snakes he paid for? If not, why did he have to be there for Bob's?

Thank you to all who have shared in this post, whether you agree or disagree, I want to let you all know I appreciate your feed back and/or support.

Just update this thread when you refund Nick and it seems like this is a non-issue, no matter how big a stink Nick wants to make about it.

I want to thank everyone for their support and understanding. I know I made a mistake....."Note to self", never, never, never ever spend any of the money from a sale until the deal is 100% handled.....I also learned that PayPal is not seller friendly, and anyone can change their mind and get their money back if they use paypal.....it doesn't matter what your Terms of Service are if they change their mind before they take delivery of the animals, they get their refund!!
Nick received his refund and continues to try and keep this going......
But I wanted to let everyone know Mr. Giavasis successfully received his $850 refund from PayPal....

YES I DID, AND THANK YOU KINDLY

Yes, McPhee is correct, he did stand behind the deal in the end and he did refund all monies paid. We may not be best friends, but in the end I did get my money back ;-) So, he has his snakes, I have my money, now, can't we all just get along?
Oh, to the lady that disrepsected my Disabled Vet status, you can email me direct Honey, or call me......what I have to say to you should come direct. You are one of the special people......the people that Vets fight to protect, so you can later slam the Vet. You're like the losers that disrespcted the Vets arriving home from wars such as Vietnam. How dare you question my status, or any other Vets status. Same can be said about the other loser that said they've never see a Disabled Vet work. LOSER! I' a Disabled Vet, and I've never NOT worked! And besides, what does my Vet status have to do with me being allowed to recoup monies. In fact, what do you have to do with our dealings. Grow up!
As stated, McPhee, you personally asked me to not get on the forums and expose you, and then you turned and did it to me, but you did not tell the thruth. That's not playing by the rules. I could have slammed you, but I didn't, and you turned and stuck a knife in my back and have tried to ruin my good name. You should be ashamed of yourself. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU for not being honest and truthful! Now you go to your room without supper...........LMAO! We're cool McPhee............carry on.............and please drop it. If you give me reason to actually go back and find your emails, you're going to end up looking like a complete @ss. Please, for your own sake, get a grip, grow up, stop it, find something else to do, spend this time with your kids, exercise, take a walk, read a book, do something, anything, besides beating a dead horse Man! Do you want me to say uncle? Here, "UNCLE". Now we good Man..........or WHAT?! I'm growing old, I do not wish to do so having to email you every few days, LMAO! Come On MAN! LOL!

Mr. Giavasis, with all due respect, what does your status as a disabled vet have to do with anything at all? And also, Robert "tried to ruin your good name"? You must not have been paying close attention since this started because if this kind of feedback is your idea of a "good name" I shudder to think of your idea of a bad one. How can you really tell this man to 'drop it' and 'stop beating a dead horse' as you yourself continuously revive these thread to spit borderline incomprehensible tirades, then disappear when anyone questions your side? Once again, Nick, if you have emails that prove Robert is lying about... something? then post them, or stop beating your chest for attention.

While I can't speak to the particulars of this deal, I have done purchases with Nick in person and never had any problems. And I can personally attest to him being a Vet (not that it has any baring on this business, other than it annoys me when people question someones status as a member of the US Military).

:iagree:
I feel the same way myself, but it also annoys me when people throw their status as a Vet out there when it has no bearing on the conversation just as much.

LOL!

Yeah, well try this then.......try joining the military, protecting a bunch of people you do not even know, going placing to fight that have nothing to do with the place you're from, dodging bullets, training people to dodge bullets, or giving support to other troops.........become injured, or miss body parts.....then talk to me about how much you don't like people talking about Vet status. Anyone saying that, you've never served a day in Cub Scouts, let-alone the military.
For the record, I will say something and then I never read or respond to another one of these ridiculous threads again in my life.......so, for the record, I mentioned my Vet status only because I was trying to give an example and or show that you have two people giving their side of a story. One person is McPhee, a 20 year old, been-nowhere, done-nothing, have-nothing, person which told me he doesn't earn $200 per month in Michigan. On the other hand, you have someone that has already raised a child, my son, to the very age of McPhee, and is again raising 2 more young ladies, owns multiple homes, has worked since childhood, someone that takes his business and business relationships extremely serious, and someone which has served in the military and is actually a retired disabled vet. I mentioned these things merely because they give anyone insightful person a clue into the only two people, into their lives, into the "who" they really are, so a assessment can be made using "logic". I can care less if anyone knows I'm a vert and I agree, it has no direct baring on the subject, but it does lend to ones merit. If you have one person that has supported and protected your way of life, works, has many business relationships with people in the very field we discuss....someone that successfully raises kids WHICH ARE NEARLY AS OLD AS HIS LYING ACCUSE.........that some of that information would be used to gage ones true personality, who they are, what they are about. I mentioned my vet status and age to say, "I'm not a kid like my accuser", and or, "what would I lie over or about money I knew I was getting back anyway?". I'm both Verified as well as Premiere on Paypal, so I knew I was getting my money back. What I told McPhee was this, "Bud, just please refund my money". He in turn said "Oh so now you're going to get on the forums to try to make me look bad?". I told him, "No".......and then when my guard was done, he struck a first blow........posted his lies, and I've been having to explain myself since. Tell me, where is the fairness, where is the truth, where is the logic. ANY of you guys place yourself in my shows, tell me what you would do if someone stood you up on multiple delivery dates. For the person asking why I didn't simply have the snakes delivered to my work, get a grip. Not everyone views snakes/reptiles like we do......and some would not allow them to be delivered to work. besides, he told me he was having them delivered to my home, more than once.....I took off work, more than once....he did not deliver, more than once.
I guess I'm not seeing why this story is so complicated or questioned. It is simple, I paid, he lied, he did not deliver, I asked for my money back, and since that date McPhee has lied more, and worked to make me look badly and or ruin my name. Sh!t, if he worked even 1/10th as hard at mailing my snakes, we'd all not be wasting our time typing about a subject that McPhee lied about so long ago.
Now, I have a life to live, kids to raise and spend time with, work to do, relationships to build, business to tend to, and snakes to enjoy......I will not read these any further. I have no more time or motivation to waste time on a 20-ish year old lying. If anyone wants to meet me face to face, please do do at the next Denver Expo/Reptile Show. I'm the guy there with his two beautiful daughters selling authentic Reptile Fossils (some 200 million years old, and NICE!), museum-grade display minerals (I import +/- 20 tons annually from around the world), and some of the most beautiful snakes you'll find. No more typing......if anyone has issue with me, speak to my face, so you can see whom it is which spoke here to protect his reputation and good name. We're honest, we're true, we're good people, that is fact you will learn when you meet us............and McPhee lied his little chump @ss off in an attempt to shield the truth.
Now, if anyone wants KILLER minerals, fossils, gems (Tanzanite, white Diamonds, one last blue diamond, Opals, etc.), antiques, coins, guns, authentic pottery from the Roman Empire (dating from 600-800 b.c.), Chinese artifacts (dating from 2000 b.c.), early Americana Pottery (Roseville & such), wall art (1800's-onward, Maxfield Parrish & such), stalactites & stalagmites from around the world, massive marble carvings from the marble mines of Carrara, Italy (1800's- onward, these are huge, 100+ years old, take a big truck to move, hand carved marble, +/- 1000 lbs......also have matching carved marble angels, massive, valued at $25,000 each for only $10,000 each!), and, of course, or some killer reptiles..............drop me a line, I'm your guy. I'd guarantee your happiness! As well, anyone wanting to import but is finding it hard to get started, I'm your guy. I import from around the world....Asia, Africa, South and Central America. My connections are solid, because they are friends. I can get most any product imported to your driveway! As well, I bought my first real estate while still a teenager, this is an area of expertise/hobby for me.........if you ever desire property in the beautiful area of Colorado, say the word and I can make sure you find that piece of 'dream' property ;-) In fact, I have a 2+ acres parcel now, end of a dead end street, all utilities, views to die for, water, quiet, small town, Rocky Mountains, only $27,900, and I'll do owner financing with only 10-20% down and payments of only $175-$250/mth (depending on your credit score and income). I also have a condo in the Denver Tech Center, same deal, owner financing, 10-20% down. I also have a 2003 Yamaha Road Warrior 1700cc motorcycle with only +/- 6000 miles on it, mint, beautiful w/ extras, bad-@ss bike, faster cruiser produced in the world(!) which I'd trade for a reptile collection/set-up............and I have more....I have more property to trade/sell, so so many more antiques and ancient artifacts that I cannot list them here. If I can help, let me know.............
I thank you, my family thanks you, and we ask you to STOP with the childish McPhee thing. Get it....he lied, and it has caused you to waste part of your life repsonding.........join me in moving forward, away from the lies, confusion, silliness, and ignorance. Happy Holidays to all.

Bob is 20? He was breeding boas when I met him online in 2002. I think he is about 35...not that it matters.

You're going to get spanked by the mods if you continue to insist on advertising your wares... and frankly were I you I would find bad guy threads detailing my rudeness in transactions and low-balling prices to be the worst advertising place possible. Not sure where you keep getting the idea of Robert being 20 or younger? Somewhere he stated he was 35 or so.
