Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just got off the phone with Fedex. They denied the claim. They told me that any live animals shipped are not garenteed despite the fact you have all those little words on the box, and despite the fact no one told me this, and also despite the fact that I didnt sign any paper that I understood this liability. Im seriously done with Fedex. Im never shipping through them again. Before I always shipped via USPS Priority mail and NEVER had any problems. The only reason why I shipped Fedex here reicently is cause people buying things from me perfered Fedex or UPS. Why? I have no idea. Heck I even have people asking me now to ship via Delta Dash. Why pay $80+ on shipping when the result is the same no matter who you ship through ? Still not insured, still not 100% fool proof. All shipping companies are the same to me atlease. Sorry for venting Im just a tad upset.

its a scam..She cant get money for the deal bi-color, therefore is making up excuses not to send your snakes back to you..

how much more obvious is it?

Which would be understandable since she was working on an even trade with no cash changing hands. Often trades are made because people don't have the cash to actually pay for the animals.

is true too Kevin.. but this trade seems too sketchy on her part and her story has too many holes in it.

They are now adjusting in thier holding tanks for a little while and I will give them some water soon when I move them tomorrow.

Nah, I saw it and had to laugh a little bit, in a sad kind of way. She doesn't know why people prefer her not to use USPS? Perhaps, just maybe, because it's illegal to ship snakes by USPS?

OK, another silly question or two....why would a person wait until the day after shipping to even offer a snake water? And why would you put them in "holding tanks" for a day to "adjust", then move them again the next day to stress them even more?

Man. I just don't get some people.

I will probably never see those snakes again, but I tell you what - she will not live this up in the herp world(which is pretty big, but pretty small at the same time). Thanks for all the support and the comments. Even though I lost some money, the comedy has almost made up for it.

*waves* hi, that was me! I require the dead snake be shipped back (and notified of dead snake within 24 hrs of arrival) as part of my TOS, I also stated how I then refund the customer their money, shipping costs plus the cost to send back the dead snake. Luckily this only happened once to me due to a failed heat pack. TOS should always be discussed in case the worst possible happens.

I was mainly trying to point out that she needed some proof that her tri-colored had died because at that point there were no photos. Now she has the photos she requested. The snakes taken in trade should be shipped back at her expense IMO. Glad this is finally getting resolved, hope it all goes well.

I am glad this is all getting settled... I read the thread over on RTB and it seems Muffin hid a few facts from her friends over there. Why would she do that? Hmmmm makes you wonder..
