I ask you once more, drop this subject as it is irrelevant in other threads and forums, otherwise I will have no choice but to do what I must in order to pursue legal action.

Please show where I have brought this up in other threads and forums. While you're at it show us where other's have too.

He came and went from this thread a number of times, not staying for a prolonged period, just popping in once and a while after a new addition was posted. He also made 10 posts prior to choosing to finally responding to this thread yesterday. I find it highly doubtful he was unaware the question was there.

API report bakerfield, ca. nov. 2006. pete perez, owner of beyond the web, was arrested today and charged with murder. mr. perez after having been sentenced to three years probation for previously shipping rattlesnakes through UPS was picked up at his home without incident early this morning.
34 year old single mother of 2 Doreen Adamson was killed Oct. 15 of this year when she found and picked up a Mojave Green Rattlesnake in her UPS truck. At the emergency room she told doctors that she thought it was a harmless greensnake, that NO ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO SHIP VENOMOUS SNAKES through UPS. Shortly after this statement was made she died of conjestive heart failure. Had she been in Bakersfield, where the shipment originated and the snake was a native, she may well be alive today as anti venon is readily available on the west coast.

In South Dakota it was a Death Sentence.

mr. perez said he didn't realize it was against the law. He said he had packaged it properly and thought that was all he had to do. Apparently his packaging was not all that he thought it was.

NEWSFLASH......Reptile Community OUTRAGED.......Ignoramous kills Innocent.......Fedex, USPS, DHL, UPS, AIRBORNE all have summarily declined to ship any reptiles at all other than turtles and tortoises. Even lizards have been banned due to some questions as to the true number of venomous lizards.

I did talk to a very nice Warden Simpson who also said there was NO record of anyone calling in to report an illegally shipped sidewinder. He did say he would double check and get back to me this morning just to make sure.

As I type this Warden Simpson is most likely perusing this thread where good ol' petey admitted that he did ship that cerastes.

Doubtless the role of fool is not knew to you randy, however, to some of us it is.

You, not me but you yourself, decided that I had some sort of hardon for ol' petey. I told you it wasn't so but you didn't believe me. I treated him NO different than I have many others here. I REALLY wanted to believe that he would turn out to be a good guy, I really did. Deep down, I know I was foolish now, I thought he DID turn himself in. Hell, he even posted the number he said he called.

NOW do you see why I, I won't speak for anyone else, was so nitpicky with him?

I gave him that 50' 800lb test nylon rope. The one he made the noose that is even now around his neck. Someone else may have shown him the tree he's standing under but it sure seems to me that he has gone OUT OF HIS WAY to hang himself. Had he simply said he was sorry and would take care of things I would have been on to other things long ago.

Actually, we said to were going to believe Pete when he stated that he had contacted the authorities, asked for a second chance, etc.
He didn't murder anyone.

As far as "turning him in", I don't think that was ever an issue...the authorities over here in AZ were made aware of the incident, as it involves a herper in Peoria also, but action is slow.

As far as letting it rest, why should we? If there had been an honest answer (which, I, in fact believed that he was telling the truth at the time, much to my chagrin) there was no need to contact anyone.

The only reason we now know that he has been spreading some falsehoods is because a few of the people here refused to let go until they got a straight answer...seems to me that the policing worked in action.

If you don't want to read about what is happening, don't...I am certainly not forcing you to read these posts...that way you can remain in the dark, and say "gosh, I didn't know" just like Pete did.

Personally, I am certainly not one to call in the authorities every time some kid says something dumb on the boards...these guys have better things to do than follow every little scrap that pops up here !

randy, I DID think of it. But petey said he took care of it himself and I really thought he did. By the time I had serious doubts about it it was new years eve. The office was closed newyears day and the weekend as well. My first opportunity after I no longer believed he turned himself in was this morning. I DID call before and the office was closed.

How long have you, randy, been reading and doing NOTHING but moaning for poor ol' petey? Why didn't youi call if you feel so strongly? I persued this in the manner I saw fit to bring out the truth. I've done it before and I"ll do it again. It works. As is proved by this very thread.

Pete shipped a snake illegally and was caught lying, then he admitted he did it but wasn't completely truthful still which we all knew. Now he's caught in another lie he told how many days ago? How many of you have more or less stated here today that well we were hopeing he'd become a good guy (that's why we kept attacking him!) or deep down I thought he was really a good guy (but you have been hounding him anyway)
