In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Ramon Acosta (Rayreptile)

Josh the bigger girl seems to have good girth. The 1500 range is my limit, remember they lose a lot of weight once they drop their eggs. I would've just taken his offer and kept it moving. However that shipping box did make me cringe a bit.

The bigger gal may be close provided no health issues are observed during the quarantine period.

I understand that mistakes happen but these were pretty grevious errors and changed the plans of my upcoming breeding season.

I also can't help but wonder if I was sent the wrong snake? In the ad, he stated he had an 800 gram female that would probably "go" this season as well. Perhaps I got the "1600" gram female and the 800 gram one?

I know USPS is a big nono when shipping animals. (Caveat: I have not yet shipped out any animals on my own). However, I was under the impression that it is illegal to ship reptiles or snakes without appropriately labeling the box's outside?

Anyone that thinks he should just accept a partial refund is cracked in the head. The open didn't receive what he paid for. That leaves the seller two options correct it by a full refund and pay to get his snakes shipped back or be viewed as incompetent, a liar and a scammer.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. But as stated

Now you didn't accept any offer you stated you would only accept a refund with an apology after several apologies was made. By making an accusation that I name called and insulted you which I clearly didn't and now after posting this all my previous attempts to work it out and offers are off the table.

Come on. You really want to go out like that? Just own up to the mistake and prove to everyone that you have learned from these mistakes. Everyone makes them, it's how you fix them that matters most.

As indicated by the bolded words, the OP is SOL on the partial refund.

Doh! I'm 0-2 already.

cutting corners to save a buck or two at the expense of the safety of the animals.

What a winner!

Shame shame shame on the seller in this entire situation...everything from your emails to your customer, to your response here, to your STUPID excuses for your idiotic methods...proves that you don't have a clue what you are doing, and have no regard what so ever for the health or safety of your animals.

Now that I'm more awake...and look at that box again....that is just appalling to ship off two sub adult females in...I don't even want to try and picture you stuffing them in there in the first place.

You lay blame on your scale for YOUR huge mistake on the weights...instead of being humbled by YOUR mistake and correcting it with your customer. So what if the OP mis-sexed them on his first attempt...it happens, even to people who are sexing pros...he did let you know of his own error once it was confirmed to him they were female.

I also wonder just how big that smaller female was LAST year when she supposedly dropped eggs....being 800 grams...9 months into THIS year...suuure makes me wonder...

Come on. You really want to go out like that? Just own up to the mistake and prove to everyone that you have learned from these mistakes. Everyone makes them, it's how you fix them that matters most.

Doh! I'm 0-2 already.

Agreed! Mistakes happen. They are an opportunity to learn. This one is by far not the end of the world and easily correctable.

USPS does and has I received a shipment of Cornsnakes back in 09 after that bad experience I never used them again, im not aware of any change of policy since then because I avoid using them.

USPS does NOT allow the shipping of snakes....AT ALL....everything you say just proves more and more how uninformed you are

Sigh... I am trying to reason with him. I am also not entirely sure of what terms he is speaking of.

No I will not as you voided and chance of a deal by publicly putting it on fauna. As you stated yourself it could of been resolve but you put it up after saying you wasn't until we came to an agreement. This will not affect me as much as you think, should of took the deal with no hesitation. Even on Fauna one said there was no need for more apologies being I already done so, you violated our terms by publicly putting it on when you wasn't until terms was reach.

Since you have not issued the partial refund and have publicly stated that you have no intention of doing so, I have filed a claim with Paypal.

I am willing to accept the partial refund as stated. I also ask that you please look at the bigger picture here. You are going down a path that many other before you have gone. It never ends well. Resolve this issue, learn from it, and do not make this mistake in the future.

Fighting this is only going to make it worse and hurt your opportunities to sell on Fauna. Please do the right thing.

To willow of have past emails to that shipment I see the typo in previous message from my auto correct I was talking about UPS not USPS but have also shipped animals through them before as well.

USPS does

525 Nonmailable Live Animals

525.2 Live, Warm–Blooded Animals

The following are examples of other live, warm–blooded animals that are nonmailable:
Cats or kittens.
Dogs or puppies.
Guinea pigs.
Hamsters.
Mice.

525.3 Reptiles

All snakes, turtles, and poisonous reptiles are nonmailable.

Either fix this situation with your customer or go suck an egg....you screwed up...be a man and make it right, people WILL read this thread. I just love when people think they are invincible.

Josh...I'm sure you opened the claim as "Product not as discribed" ??

Make sure to send them the info you have about how grossly he misrepresented their weight...I truly hope Paypal finds in your favor.

Also if you used your credit card, you can call your credit card company and work it out with them. This may be the better route

I am willing to work with you but those weights are way off. I just had another local breeder take a look at them. They are female so that is good but her opinion is also that they are not going to be breedable this year. I would like to work out something since they were not as advertised. I do not want to go to the BOI with this but will if needed. Please work with me.

These terms are the ones you deny that I just copied from my email. I also see the paypal request of $150 when each snakes was $125 each your clearly trying to get over one way or another I will dispute this though.

Best I can do is see where not going to come to an agreement and your getting a little in professional about it. I can issue a payment back for one of the snakes and you can keep the other free.

clearly voided terms as you did put this on fauna, now another void since you trying to more than what in my terms was said

How ride of you I will not stoop down to your childish level, my quarrel is not with you anyways. Your pretty pathetic now. I know what you can go suck though and it ain't no egg.

Do you have a website with terms? Does it say that everything is void if you post on fauna (which by the way is so wrong).

You messed up big time and need to make this right. You now have a lot of people who will never do business with you. Your shipping also needs to be fixed asap.

I will gladly change the claim down to $125 but as you stated, it sounds as though you have no intention on following through.

In your above post, I dont see any terms.

I have already called the card issuing bank and can file that claim when needed. I am waiting to do that as I am still holding out hope that Ramon will see reason.

I'm not being childish...I simply told you to man up...I am not the one looking pathetic in this thread =) I could never do this to one of my customers. I can say that honestly and with much pride...you sir, cannot =)

You're making this worse with every single post you make. Suck it up and realize that you are wrong in this situation. Refund for the one snake and make yourself look a tiny bit better.
