Information regarding caging and options.
23" or 13" STANDARD LIGHTING FOR CAGING -
23" standard light and 13"standard light are lights for lighting up your cage not UV.The lights are both energy savers and slim line and are white only.Unless asked their mounted right behind fron upper door lip. Comes with bulb and bulb cover also. They are white in color and come when ordered with cage pre installed.They have a on/off switch but a timer can also be used. Pre installed mean we pre drill all holes needed for mounting and cord is already in place through back panel. All hardware comes with it including cord mount clips. 24" UV LIGHTING -
Our 24" UV fixture is just that a fixture no bulb included.They come in black or white and accept 24" uv bulbs.They are only pre installed meaning all mounting holes are already drilled.All hardware comes with it including cord mount clips. Cord is already ran through back panel when shipped.They have a on/off switch but a timer can also be used.Image can be seen under Cage options page
Single Ajustable heat lamp fixture-
This fixture is our heavy duty system for using heat bulbs. NOT for snakes, only lizards.Comes pre installed and all hardware is included we also have a You Tube video on final assembly of this fixture and also offer help at anytime.You dont need to be a electrician to assemble this only 3 wires white to white,black to black and green ground to green screw on fixture. Use supplied wire plastic nuts to twist wires together.This fixture is a all metal base rated at 150 watts and can be mounted at any location unless noted we mount on back wall upper side and is fully adjustable to angle bulb where you need it than locks in place with a screw.The wiring connections are all out side cage in small juntion box using a grounded heavy duty cord.
Cage Locks -
We offer 2 types of key locks for caging a lock for hinged doors and sliding showcase door locks, so please choose which you need correctly. All locks are keyed alike meaning no matter how many cages your have from us 1 key will work all sliding locks and 1 key will work all hinged doors locks but you get 2 keys per lock. Sliding locks are mounted via industrial dbl sided clear tape and hinged key locks are bolted in to acrylic doors.When ordering hinged key locks if you choose the option for single hinged door add 1 lock per cage.If choose dbl hinged doors add 2 locks per cage.If your cage is divided into 3 or 4 all that many locks per divided section.
Venting -
We offer 2 types of venting options.(3xx5 drilled & standard rounds vents) One we consider standard which comes with all cages unless you choose optional 3x5 venting. Those standard vents are 2 1/2" round louvered vents and color matched. Venting plays a big role in how well your cage with your species housed in it and in your home as each is different vents in fresh air flow. For high humidity reptiles we suggest going with 3x5 drilled vents allows more air flow but yet still retains in proper humidity but with a better dry out over night.3x5 drilled venting is a machined 3x5 vents 3/16" hole size with 2 3x5 vents per cage and unless noted comes on back wall. We do offer these 3x5 vents to be adjustable but be aware if on back wall to adjust youll need access to back of cage. Side venting and placement is all up to you just let us know when ordering.Improper choice of venting for what your needs are can result in undo pressure on door as air and humidity temps inside cage verse outside cage can affect the latchs getting tight as door will expand and contract.
Cage door latchs -
All cages comes with latchs for doors even if you order key locks.These latchs are lexan materials and clear and bolted in place with a nylon lock nut. These latchs are adjustable just by lossening or tighting lock nut on back. This maybe needed if your not controlling humidity in cage as suggest and doors are expanding.Not adjusting these could result in it snapping.
Stacking feet -
All plastic caging we offer comes with feet at bottom unless noted differently. This way mainly designed for under belly heating to be used as a high percentage use these for snakes and allows it to be used properly. All under belly heating needs air flow around it and should not be sandwiched between anything.This is what can cause it (underbelly heat) to melt or worse.When our cages are stacked they provide proper air movement around underbelly heating pad to funtion correctly.These stacking feet also keep cages above or below off cage it sits on only supporting cage from strongest points in how we design them.Do this dosnt put undo weight from reptile inside it on another cage.
Cage door options and back stop -
We offer a few options at no extra cost to you with all plastic caging not Elite caging as some options may change cost. All plastic caging we offer sliding acrylic doors,single hinged drop down door or DBL hinged drop down doors.For taller cages we offer either single hinged drop down doors or dbl swing out hinged doors as well as sliding doors. All doors are 1/4" thick cast acrylic.Door backing is how the door stops when closed and we provide a back all around the full door. This serves 2 things one stopping insects from getting out if used for lizards,stops snakes or other from poking their noses in opening and getting nose rub and last protects us from venomous reptiles and spitting cobras.Our air flow is created by actual venting see above on venting.Providing a full door stop also dbls the thickness of our cage fronts making them very strong.
Hinges,knobs,sliding tracks and hardware -
Everything we use for cage hardware such as hinges,latchs and hinged key locks are all bolted on with nut and bolt for safety.Our lighting is also bolted on same way.Our sliding door tracks are attached with a industrial adhesive.Our hinges are a strong poly hinge and never needs oiling.Our knobs we use are also screw mounted and color matched.
Enclosure Plastic type we use -
Our all plastic cages are ABS material which is a solid plastic through and through and textured on one side and nearly unbreakable it takes a huge force to break a panel in half and i mean huge force a normal hammer hitting it does nothing but mark it up. Our outside of these cages have the slight texture and inside is smooth for easy cleaning.Normally we turn the back wall panel with texture facing inside cage for a visual clean look when viewing from front you see texture on front panel and back to match.We can make everything inside smooth just let us know otherwise it will be as just stated.These are dbl welded together for a strong cage which makes them water tight and ship fully assembled and ready to use.Please dont fill with water their not water proof like fish tanks just water tight to stop standard leakage of bowles and urates.Bond stregnth only gets stronger as time goes by when we ship these their at about 75% in stregnth as we usually let each cage crafted sit for 24-48 hours before shipping.Our Elite caging is an 1" anodized black aluminum framed system with special corner connector.The plastic wall panels offered as standard are 1/4" PVC black which is included in price listed.These wall panels interlock in framing and form a complete cage when assembled.
Dividers -
We offer 2 types of dividers for the all plastic caging. One being fixed which means its welded in place and cannot be removed. Other being remove able as a front pull out type. This type pulls out the front of the cage through a slit which is approx 1/4". As standard unless noted it comes with a finger pull hole and no latch or cover plate for locking or to cover slit when removed. If you want either you need to let us know. Dividers for our ELITE line is a remove able type also but removes from inside cage.Its on a snap in track system that fits over the 1" aluminum framing.
Heating our cages -
Our cages can be heated with just about any heating type such as most common 2 are under belly heating and radiat heat panel. We offer only under belly heating by Ultratherm but if you use radiant heating you can easliy install your self by drilling the mounting holes.For under belly heating mounting just use foil tape along outer edges of heating pad (not over element) and attach to bottom of cage to one side. Heating is not installed when shipped due to shipping.
Flame polishing -
Flame polishing option.What this is when acrylic is cut it leaves a frost edge and flame polishing brings this edge to a nearly crystal clear finish making the visual look of your door edge more appealing.
