I just looked at the frot page of Repster and your new logo is featured prominently. I also noticed something else. While on the page it showed me as a registered member online. Apparently david just deleted my ability to log in and has left me as a registered member. I would suspect that the rest of you who have had your membership "cancelled' have had it done in the same way. Hit their front page and check.
Great way to inflate those stats David.
John,
Very interesting. I was contacted by an admin of Reptster a few days ago (who, btw, was very nice and professional) who said he was able to delete our account from the forums, as that was the only area he had access to. I never checked from there. He had seen that we posted here that we were having issues, and said that he has been deleting people as he has been reading and seeing issues.
It seems that I have been IP banned from the forums section of the site, however, but can access the rest of the site. I checked the "events" page, and our show is still listed. When clicking on my name, all it says is "profile is not available to view" or something similar. But it too appears that I am still a member of the site.
The admin I spoke with did say that Mr. Young has control over Reptster Connect, which I assume means the rest of the site, and he only had access to removing people on the forums. He also stated that our member name should turn BLACK, meaning that we no longer existed as a member. When I looked at my member name on the Events page, it was still tan/yellow/green/whatever color you want to call it, but it is NOT black. However, when doing a member search, we do not come up.
Another interesting item...David's site stats on his own site. If you scroll to the bottom of the home page, he has a whole section devoted to them. His member count there says 1610. Click on "members" and scroll to the bottom of the page. It says 865 total results. Quite a discrepancy there, don't you think?
By the way, I did do a physical search through that members list, and did NOT see my name anywhere as a member of the site (nor John's). But my suggestion to anyone that has been told their membership has been canceled would be to just set the views to 90 per page at the bottom, and go through and physically look.
It seems that David has found a way around us being able to log in and yet still have a high member count, I may be mistaken. But he can show 1610 members on the site stats, and only has 865 listed on the member count after clicking those stats????
Just my 2 cents.
Oh, Jason, your profile photo is still very visible. Not sure for how long though...
And, just for the record, no contact from Mr. Young yet.
Back to working on show stuff!
Kelly
