In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptster.com experience with show sponsorship not good

I don't see jglass as a member anymore but I did see boxtheif.

Rocks! I couldn't care less what David thinks of me. I stole free shipping boxes? I offered to pay for them when, even when I never requested them in the first place and didn't use them. He stole advertising and hasn't paid a penny. Who is the crook, David?

I'm IP banned from the forums and when I go there it says:

You must leave immediately, box stealer!

Well, the first part is true at least...

 That is about the funniest thing I've read all morning. Well, that and two and a half pages of the same member registered. What a sad, strange turn of events this has been. Kelly and Matt, I wish you and your show the very best. :yesnod:

Whether verbal or written, witnessed or not, that is exactly what a CONTRACT is! It is an agreement between parties that services and materials would be produced and provided by one party, and the other party would pay for those products and efforts by the first party.
You cant prove a verbal contract. Things have to be done in writing these days. Mistake #1. Why would David/reptster come here on the boi to work out his issues with Kelly? They need to work it out by them selves.

I have been reading this thread, and normally I do not respond. I will to the above however. MauiMoon Do you have anything relevant to say other than the Kelly made a mistake of trusting somebody. I think that you have beaten this dead horse in efforts to get it to move, but I think its time to get off it. She acknowledges her mistake and the issue is now whether David Young will step up to the plate and respond in some sort of a professional matter, however unlikely that may be, and fix the problem at hand. Seeing as that is very unlikely to happen, i am going to say that this will probably one of his last mistakes at least with the company of ripster, but who knows like so many other scumbags will probably reinvent himself in some manner or another to take advantage of other trusting people.

Thats quite funny, especially coming from someone who has been here stating Davids side all along.
So, no one should be on her backing Kelly but its OK if they want to be here backing David??? Do I have this right?

WOW. David Young and his friends are really far more juvenile than most of us gave them credit for in the first place.

You just don't get it.
Are you fine with this?

1. David made a deal with 2 promotors and never paid a penny.
2. David made a deal for a snake and never paid a penny.
3. David runs site where he wants you to enter CC information but does not secure that data.
4. Repster charges you for one weight but Fed Ex bills Reptster for a smaller weight.
5. David has done nothing but insult people with his replies.

I haven't been paying much attention the past few days but:

1. Have we been provided sufficient proof of either of these? Or is it just a misunderstanding of a verbal agreement? Or a third part statement?

2. People back out of snake deals all the time -- not a big deal

3. OK but he's said he is working on that - programming flaws in start up business happen - god knows microsoft has enough of them and look where they are

4. What proof was provided? Have we seen Davids bills?

5. Subjective really. Way before this thread started David said he didn't agree with the tactics of the BOI - that doesn't make him a bad guy for choosing not to pander to it.

I'm not siding with David on this at all but before making these statements as fact do we in fact have fact?

WOW..I am speechless...(can still type, though). How very, VERY unprofessional of him!

Well the first part was true, I was banned. The second part was a joke. But in all fairness, I asked for my account to be closed and put up the fancy Repster logo with the line through it as my avatar so it's expected. :)

You DO NOT setup a website and have peoples financial information on it without completely testing the security. He was warned of the issue and chose to do nothing about it. A programming flaw as an excuse does not cut it.

The backing out part establishes a pattern where he cannot be taken at his word and that he doesn't notify people of his decision to back out. How can you reasonably expect to believe he will help you out with a problem when he has shown he does not follow thru and has poor communication skills.

The Fed Ex charges.............C'mon.........You pay the rate for a 5 pound package upfront to Reptster. He gets billed by Fed Ex AFTER delivery (like everyone else who has an account with them) and they bill him for the amount THEY say which was for only 2 pounds. You pay for 5 pounds, Fed Ex bills for 2 pounds. Simple enough to see by the tracking info and the receipt that there is a difference which in turn means a difference in billed amount versus paid amount.

I could care less how he feels about the BOI. There is a security flaw in the Repster program that needs to be corrected. Contacting him privately (as another person did) got nowhere. Maybe letting the public know about the flaw and that their CC info could be compromised will make him address it and correct it.

To be honest - if he doesn't want to make his site more secure that is his business - if you don't like it obviously it's your choice whether you use it - does he say it's secure or encrypted? I haven't checked. If he is lying about it then yeah that's a no-no but if it's just something he overlooked or hasn't addressed - there really isn't an issue.

As for the deal with the snake -- stuff like that happens all the time -as far as I know no money changed hands - so I don't see why it's such a big deal -- it happens all the time in this industry. As for the Repster shipping response -- it seems to be right on -- the problem I had and was billed for - they responded and gave me my money back immediately -- as well other people that ran into glitches got their issues solved pretty quickly as well. That shows a definite pattern as well.

The shipping difference ... I double checked mine and most of them were right on with what I put on the label -- the few that weren't were all the same size box -- so I'm guessing it had to do with them being billed for dimensional weight instead of actual weight. To be fair I also checked the ones I'd recently shipped through my fedex account and found similar issues. So I'm not entirely sure you can chalk that one up to him ripping people off.

Well, its not entirely his business when people are posting here stating that they have asked for their account to be closed and instead of David closing it he simply blocks them from signing in, therefore blocking their ability to alter or remove their information from his site.
I would hardly call thi his business only.

Therefore, *thi should be this

I was supposed to be removed, but there I am, right in the member list. Can't access the shipping part, but I signed right into the forum and left them a suggestion. :D

Nope. That did the trick. :D

But I don't get why they didn't just do it in the first place when I asked the first time. :shrug01: Maybe they thought I didn't mean it. Yeah, that's gotta be it.

Did you remove yourself from both sections? From what I understand they are separate -- perhaps you removed yourself from the shipping section but didn't from them general site membership? Which is why you could still sign into the site but not the shipping section?

That ranks right up there with the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. When your site retains peoples financial information, like credit card numbers, bank accounts numbers, pin numbers, etc, you are flat OBLIGATED to make your site as secure as possible. And not using ******* in place of actual account numbers is actually flat out negligent in today's day and age.

I think Tosha is right about 2 seperate sections. I know you need to log in seperately for the shipping versus the regular forum area so maybe that is why you were still on one and not the other.
Maybe David only removed you from one part because he just forgot to do both or someone else does the other deletes.
