Judy, surprising as it may be, Steven has already said he cannot support David on another forum, and him and I haven put this situation behind us with some heart-felt apologies and forming a new relationship based on the love of the same animals we keep.

I think that both Gerry and Steven have had to realize the steaming bag they were left holding, and just had to drop it. I feel bad for both of them, really, and I think it takes some serious steel cajones to come out in public and say the things they have said about their current feelings on Reptster. Hopefully, however, the ones who are STILL supporting Reptster and David will start to see that when his BIGGEST supporters have to drop and run, that maybe it is a sign of things to come...

I can understand if Steven and David were friends before all this happend... I also stick by a good frined when it gets thick.... but I think he finally saw the light and decided that he couldnt take anymore hits to his reputation because of the lack of integrity on Davids part.

Steven... I will say this publically.... MAYBE I was wrong about your character and hopefully time will prove me wrong. From what I have seen recently... I can say its a step in the right direction.

My apologies to Steven for making assumptions about who you support or why. I do realize that everyone associated with David has been put in a horrible position and I do understand how easily any of us could have gotten sucked into it in the beginning. He had me fooled for awhile, too.

The concept behind Reptster was an exciting one. Maybe someday it can be done right, by the right person.

Anyone getting any odd charges on their credit cards? I had put my CC info into Reptsters site before the shipping portal went down. I got a charge from "ITS AMERICA WASHINGTON DC" for $300.00 on 11-2. I can't for the life of me figure out what that is. It may end up being a legitimate charge, I'd like to think I'd remember that one though. Discover said it will take 30-60 days to get me an answer. Anyone else getting similiar charges?

Well it's official. My credit card info has been compromised. I've gotten 2-3K worth of charges in the last few weeks that aren't mine. All online stuff. Discover is investigating so hopefully they can nail whomever is charging this stuff. I'm not saying it has anything to do with Reptster. It may very well be a coincidence that the account that I've had with Discover was problem free for the first 11 years but was blown up with fraudulent charges just weeks after putting the info in the Reptster site. Now I gotta learn a new account number. Geez.

Well, just cancelled my 15yr. old cc right now based on Deborah's post.. So I thank her for that.. I have left numerous calls to this clown(D. Young).. I am not tooooo sure how this will work out, so I'll apologize wayyy ahead of time.. Maybe I am old school at just 31, or maybe I had my rear kicked enough in my lifetime, or maybe it was my strict Marine Corp. heritage that made me this way, but D. Young, I would misdemeanorly(maybe wind up feloniously) open up a can of that stuff alll over you in person, at a show, in front of six lawmen, your family, my family, everyone on the net, that happened to be there for doing this to me.. I also would do it for all of you out there.. This was the best scam I have ever even heard of, I am sooooo jealous of what this clown has taken from me/us(maybe) that I got a grand on it... He does need a simply rear whuppin.. Mister Pecanic....it's a bit difficult making out what you were saying in the two previous posts. So I'll ask for clarification.....are you offering $1000 to someone who will beat up David Young???

Regardless though...you make it pretty clear that you would do so yourself given the opportunity. And all in the name of the US Marines??? I'm sorry, but our military gets enough unjust flack and hate as it is...and people talking like that only make it worse, adding tarnish to an overall stellar reputation of professionalism and integrity in most of our marines, soldiers, airmen and sailors.

I find David's current actions appalling, and if indeed the entire matter started out as a scam then he deserves nothing short of jail-time for such fraud, in my opinion. But your words here are no less appalling to me, albeit for different reasons.

Tom, I have to say I agree with Judy. Although this situation might be tough to deal with for you, violence, or threats of violence, or even WISHING it on someone else is not the way to go.
Yes, you lost a pair of snakes to him (or his brother in law or whoever), and that is not cool, but lots of people have lost money on their deals, and we/they are not getting/saying violent things. It just looks bad on you, and I have a feeling you are better than this reaction.
Basically, if you ever had a chance at any legal retribution, you just screwed yourself. And God forbid anything happens to Mr. Young after you saying this...you would be the first suspect...
Just tone it down and be the soldier you are. Also, be the 31 year old ADULT that you are and simmer down some. For your own sake, and the sake of the entire community - we don't need any bad publicity about some weird snake guy going off and hurting some scumbag snake guy!

I don't want anyone to get Mr. Young for me, it should be noted that I would not mind giving him a piece of my mind surely, I do, however worry for the animals I sent him and would give a thou for their safe return, yes.. Yea it would cost at least 10k to get out of the A and B on "Poor David" Are You wanting Your snakes back? for the 1k ?He's stumbled upon owing Me some money now also so a trip to a Friends near by may be in order. I guess I will post here since this is the most viewed thread, and most eyes are on it waiting for anything on the Reptster shipping.

Here it is as bluntly and straight forward as I can put it for everyone. David wants out of Reptster! (ya dont say.... cant imagine why) He has two other business ventures and Reptster no longer holds anything for him. (ya dont say.... cant imagine why)This is why we do not see David posting here at a time when he should be living here! He has wanted to move on to other things and while he continued to work with UPS and the programmers on/off. He simply does not feel like dealing with the site any more. Regardless, David is not happy with the site and wants out! David and I spoke this afternoon and before he calls it quits and lets it go, he asked me if I wanted the site?

This is something we have discussed now for a few days as a co-ownership agreement. I recently decided I did not want to take this on as a co-owner due to all the baggage and pending issues associated with Reptster/David along with other issues. I stepped down as forum Admin on Sunday and was done. I posted a thread here announcing my stepping down as Admin, but somehow it miraculously disappeared...

Anyways; I just thought you all should know where things are and where the site stands. I believe you all deserve some information. Many of you on/off the site are waiting for any update regarding to shipping. I just read and posted this morning that FedEx will be raising rates 7% next year. So I can see where many of you are concerned with shipping costs.

I was considering taking on the site, but decided not to! In light of David's decision to step away completly from the site I may once again consider taking this on. I have no idea what this means! Nor by no means am I saying yes just yet! BEFORE I make any decision! I need to see what exactly I'm dealing with and if there is any hope here?! I had made some demands such as to see the UPS contract/agreement myself. Ask to speak with the programmer and see the status of the UPS program myself. Asked to speak with UPS rep handling Reptster myself! I would like to see where this is REALLY at and if I decide to keep the site, do I want to take this on or cut it loose?! I love Reptster and the concept it was! I just don't like where it has gone, or how things have been handled around here and the direction it has taken!

As mentioned above, I am not making any decision yet! I have a lot to evaluate and consider, work load, costs, expenses, maintenance, upgrades, what to keep, what to cut, etc, etc. Question whether I want this or not?!

I may decide after looking at everything involved and everything on the table; that I want no part of this! I may decide just to keep the site, maintain the site itself, and build it w/out any of the shipping. I want to see everything on UPS before considering following through with UPS and providing that service. Maybe even go back to FedEx at some point to posibly have both online? I have ZERO experience at all dealing with any of this! I have ZERO programming skills and can barely use Excel! I have ZERO knowledge of UPS/FedEx other than how to prepare and ship my own packages! There is a lot of work to be done here!

All I know is; David wants out and Reptster is no longer a part of his focus or agenda. The question on the table is, will I take this on and if I do, at what level do I want to keep it? Or do we just keep posting away here until the hosting company shuts Reptster down for lack of payment and/or communication in 1-3MO?

I just wanted to think out loud here and update you all on the situation with Reptster and at the same time get your input. I already reached out to a few for their advise on this topic. If I decide this is too much for me to handle; I will tell you ASAP and also let you know what you're looking at. If I decide to take this on; I will also keep you posted on what we're dealing with and may even ask for some help from some of you more program savvy members out there.

At the moment I am simply trying to get as much out of David as I can to make a conscious decision. As some of you can imagine this is not always easy! It's like asking that employee/co-worker for that monthly report; who hated their job and is also leaving next week for a better paying job elsewhere!

I'll keep you all posted one way or the other from my end, but this is pretty much where the site stands as of today. I'm not speaking for Reptster and have no idea what is going on; other than there will be some changes one way or another.
