Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

RJ's Exotics inquiry

I have been into his store in Nashua NH a few times. He does misrepresent his animals and tries to act cool with you and up front, but if you call him on somehting, he gets defensive. I wouldnt buy anything but feeders from him again.

I bought 30$ worth of feeders from him last year i believe, and they were the grossest looking things i've ever seen.. None of my snakes would eat them.. And when we went to the expo a few weeks later, my mom talked to J.J and Rob and they said it was because my temperatures werent right and my snakes were in "hibernation" Yet i went out the next day (after the disgusting purchase from him) and bought from Petco and they all ate???

People i know have had MANY problems with him. A friend of mine got a "healthy" baby boa from him only to find out that she was loaded with parasites and in horrible condition... he treated her for free.. He also sold another friend of mine a "female" snow corn wich is infact a MALE.

So many problems with that guy, the animals in his store are in such poor condition, i can only imagine what his "breeders" look like:( There is a retic there with constant bubbles from his nose/mouth and rubbing his face all over the cage.. its just horrible.. Never never never again will i get ANYTHING from him..

Jen - a rule of the BOI is that you have to post both your first and last name, either in every post or in your user area (go to user CP to change this)... otherwise a moderator may delete your post.

I started another thread because i was kind of windering if he had cleaned up his act at all since I was last there being at his New location at all. Well, COme to find out, he has moved YET AGAIN. He is in a tinly little "warehouse" in Nashua. Almost impossible to find... just as you turn to go to his new place, you will think... there is NO WAY a reptile store is in here... Don't turn back... he is there. It is a dark, dirty, smelly, hot little place in an old storage garage. It is REALLY nasty. All of his animals look horrible, and it won't be long before he is out of business. Thank God.... After seeing his new place, I hpe he goes down quick. Also, it looks like Rob forgot to pay his Website account... Down... AGAIN! Oh well, maybe he will have a "liquidation" sale soon.... Rob... be sure to let us know in the boards!..

Hello eveyone, well i guess when you sell thousands of reptiles each year you cant make everyone happy. For the last 5 years i have always upgraded to bigger and better reptile stores for the public to enjoy. With our last move to the plaza i made a reptile zoo that all would love and enjoy. Unfortunatly we had to leave do to overhead and other cost do to a zoo. people enjoyed the store but didnt like paying admition. with 7 full time employyes and a huge over head ,well lets not get into it! anyone who has ever seen my stores knows the health and care we put into all our enclosures. feel free to see pics of the site rjsexotics.com to get your own ? i can not defend myself when someone has a personal grude or just plain cant be pleased.rj's dose have the best policee i have ever heard of. if you are not happy we will make you happy refund or exchange. so for anyone ever being upset. well you got me? i have moved from a zoo type showing ,to a breeder style wearhouse. pretty much keeping myself and 1 other person to enjoy the hobby once agian. we are infact open to the public but, my no means are a zoo fancy store anymore. i cant belive im actually typing on this board, have always thought this is just for people who have nothing better to do than complain about life. for the 99% of people out there i do appreciate all your business and im glad i made you happy. my store has always spoke for its self . this is a real cut throat bisness and i refuse to ever start acting that way. well ill see you all at shows and in the shop. dont know if this letter made me feel better but i hope to all the sean fords maybe youll sleep better. feel free to approach me anytime with comments or suggestions thanks rj's

Hey Jennifer

thanks for the sick, missexed albino boa that I ended up having to put about 5 hundred bucks into and still having it die on me. You guys refused to make it right when i calloed you on the phone. I have made sure to tell everyone about it on all the other boards that I can. I hope I have cost you at least as much money as you have cost me.

Rjs Exotics

I can not speak for current issues or for the new location, which knowing Rob im sure is fine and filled to the rim with some exotic herps. Anyways, I will speak for them as people as being pretty reliable after you have established some buisness contact with them. I will also say I have seen many retail reptile stores up and down the east coast from Maine to Key West and all over Florida. ROb had one of the coollest cleanest reptile stores/zoos around All his cages were home made and the store was awsome. I whould of loved to see him keep that open, but as we all know its sometimes hard to make it in the retail buissnesss. Anyways Robs old store as his wife Jen said was awsome and one of the best around not only in new england but on the east coast. I also want to say although I have not seen the new facility I fell that it may not be exactly what it is being described like by some unhappy customers.

Maybe he could have kept his nice store open if he had not ripped so many people off. Seems like he burned alot of bridges which is not a good thing in a business where everybody knows everybody. The scammers like rob get blacklisted pretty easy. I know there are a lot of people that would like to see this guy out of the reptile business all together.

I forgot to add this before I hit submit.....So what you are saying is that if I bought from them the first time and had a problem I would sh*t out of luck because I dont have "SOME BUSINESS WITH THEM".... wow I think I will put my order in right now.......NNNNOOOTTTTTTT :toiletcla

18 years old, a great reputation it seems and a whopping 10 posts. More than likely a good friend of Robs that was asked to post on here. First off, I would appreciate it if My name was left out of a post, especially when that post if from a store that many, many people have been talking about. Now if you are using my name as an expample of someone that is dissatisfied, yes, you got it. I bought a ball python form Rob that was told me was clean, a "great eater" and was eating FT. Well, I got a Ball, that was infested with mites, and was only taking LIVE mice. Hmmm strange. Anywho, that neither here nor there. As far as this store of thiers that was "great" and "great naimals" I guess everyone that went to this so called "zoo" didnt see the epidemic of rat bites all over the snakes or the dead rats / mice crushed flat in teh snake cages... Thats probably me... But then again, show me one "good guy" post here about RJ's and Ill eat my words.

my 2 cents: ive dealt with them once back in august of 2005 at the hamburg PA show, i purchased a 0.1 retic (baby). at the show it seemed great, great temperment, so i took her home with me. the next day, it was not the same snake. extremely agressive much like a wild caught.

my wife mentioned to me the snake was acting alot like it was sedated when we first seen her at the show and the rest of that day. so now here we are august of 2006, went to the hamburg show agian, checked out their table and my wife pointed out that many of the retics they had acted in "slowmotion" and kind of sluggish, similar to being sedated. ive kept retics for a long time and i know that through travel they can become stressed and what not.....but not like the way theirs were.

Wow at 18 you are quite the little mover and shaker .... ohhh , and most people in the retail industry know how to spell " business " properly. :>poke2<:

I don't believe you are speaking to your target audience......

Not to mention Jennifers spelling is simply horrible. I am not making personal digs really, but if someone uses sentences like "my store has always spoke for itself"... would read better as "My store has always SPOKEN for itself". All i knwo is, walking into your store at its present location, the only thing it is speaking is "please don't buy here because most of the stuff here is probably sick". I went into the store about 3 weeks back or so, and when I spoke to Rob, he told me that he would cut me a good deal on Ball pythons because the ball python market is going down, and they arent worth anyhting. Said he got rid of all of his spiders and pastels and stuff for Dirt prices just to ge them out of there. Anyways, thats neither here nor there. It is just really sad that the illusion is being kept up. I really hope people just look at the products they recieve.. Let thier animals do the talking.

Well that was my husband Rob that wrote that thread, just to make that clear. But I stand by what was said. You all may notice that this thread started a couple of years ago and we just now decided to stand up to all those "personal digs." I feel like you are all just trying to "dig" because you are all cowards to call or come in. Sean Ford comes in being fake and phony probably like he is a great customer, one of those many people that enjoy comming in to shoot the shi@. Then goes on line talking about us because he probably doesn't have a life beyond the internet.

We don't read this all that often, so if any of you feel like you need to talk bad but want us to read, give us a call, e-mail or come on in instead. We don't get to hide behind a computer and would like to know how we can serve you all better.

Oh, It sure would be nice if I could run this sight. I could also choose what I want to be shown to the public.

If someone is not happy with our service I understand that you may want to share that with the world. That is totally fair. Feel free. I thought that was what this sight was for. Personal digs should be for personal e-mail.

Nobody is taking personal Digs, actually, i think the people here in this thread have some pretty valid complaints that you have yet to respond to. Let see, there was Paul with the 127 Gram 400 Gram Albino Ball, and there was Chris with the tortoises, and then tehre is teh issue of Rob saying that he works closely with NERD and Kara comes in and said Nope, and the Misrepresented snakes with Mark, and the sick retics (see photos in thread) purchased by Roger, and then there was Justin from NERD making a post that the Albino Ball Rob purchased from NERD was NOT purchased from NERD... the list goes on and on, and on. How about you address some of those issues in here instead of focusing on me. Do my comments effect you so much? I mean, you use me as an example as someone that doesnt have the intestinal fortitude to say somehting to your fce, but that is mainly because i don't have the time nor the inclination to drive 45 minutes to walk into a dirty little hole in the wall to be told that I don't know what I am talking about by someone with even less of a clue about reptiles than my 4 year old daughter. Point is, Rob as crapped on many people and it is now coming to the surface. How about he just man up and address these people that have an issue with him here in the forum. I know a person, and he posted in here about it, and I can attest to the condition of the animal when it was bought by Rob, The Retic he sold to Rob was in PERFECT condition, not a flaw, and definitely not a scar on it, 4 months later, he bought the snake BACK from Rob to save it from what was bound to be a horrible existence sitting in dirty cages. Needless to say, it was covered in scars from being bitten. SO address the issues, and don't focus all your attention on "Sean Ford". I'm not the only one that is a dissatisfied customer. By teh way, it is Site not Sight.... Site as in Web-site, not Sight as in "my eyes give me SIGHT"

Just so you know, I don't go into RJs being fake and phony to hang out. I actually go in to take photos and to compile a case to give to the State Veterinarian for animal cruelty. I first went into RJ's with an open mind and thought it was great to finally have a reptile store in NH close to me that I could get some of my supplies, well, when i went in, i Couldnt have been less impressed with the condition of the animals. I'm not going to say anything more than Everyone needs to go in and check the place out. If you think its a great place, well then, you really need to get out a little more. If you are a lover of reptiles like myself, then i would be suprised if you are impressed.
Anyways, I am finished having a battle of wits with the challenged. If you have anyhting to say to me, feel free to E-mail, I will be more than willing to tell you what you are doing wrong. If not, well then own up and right some of your past wrongs and start doing things correctly. If it weren't for the people buying from you, you wouldnt be where you are today. then again, you do seem to have taken a rather large step back from where you were....

Oh like how you wanted to help serve us better when you refused to pay what you initially stated for the retics I sold you, and like how you wanted to serve us better when you sent us the retic that was covered in blisters, malnourished and died 2 days later. If you really wanted to serve us better you wouldn't have ignored phone calls or not been there conveniently every time you knew I was coming up. :bolt01:

I have plenty of emails from rjs to prove that you all don't try to make anything better. You put on a nice facade, really, but I don't think any of us here buy it.
