Dude you made that letter up. If I bought an ill animal, took it to the vet and got a positive reaction, I'd be telling the seller to please talk to the vet so we can work something out. You are a piece of work.

I am sorry for the snake and what it has been through, I hope it is returned safely , I think Rob is awesome for maintaining his courtesy in the face of all this, and I am embarrassed for UT, they are one of the great schools in the United States and Thomas is not what one would call a representative ambassador.

What absolutely floors me is the idea that someone who's obviously had extensive schooling on the scientific method, would be so quick to abandon it when it doesn't suit his nefarious purposes. It seems to me that science is all about the acquisition and application of factual knowledge. He'd have to willfully ignore the his own observations, as well as numerous variables that his own ignorance created, to so vehemently stick with his belated hypothesis that the snake was just "junk" to begin with. This guy is just really conflicted. He'd almost be pitiable, if he weren't so contemptible.

Rob has demonstrated he is a shady business man. A lier, does not follow his own agreements. Lied about paying for the vet. Sold an animal that should not have sold. He has demonstrated he is full of hot air, and is trying to drag this out to make me look bad to gain Sympathy of the ignorants on this site.

Tes, it amazes me how often and loosely this Thomas Dorn character uses ad hominem attacks to fortify his postion as well as Slander/Libel to downright try to pass off his point with unfounded lies.

For those of you who don't know: Ad hominem attacks are personal attacks made and used to prove or enforce ones point.

And example would be: "You don't know anything about dieting because you're fat."

Lastly---"Ad hominem abuse is not to be confused with slander or libel, which employ falsehoods and are not necessarily leveled to undermine otherwise sound stands with character attacks."

Meaning, if you say "Lance Armstrong knows nothing about biking, it's true that he was using performance enhancing drugs." That would be Ad Hominem. However accusing someone of a crime and later found to be a lie would fall under slander as it was not true.

Anyways. Rich, you're spot on. You know the signs of someone knowing they are in the wrong and/or on their last drop of fuel when they start slinging out Ad Hominem attacks as if they were beads at a Mardi Gras parade.

Interesting, because Rob's behavior and ability to maintain his cool even with Thomas acting as he did made me WANT to buy something from Rob, to support him in his endeavours to produce quality animals. How does a buyer torturing their purchase to psychosis affect your decision to buy from the seller?

Like was asked before, Did you even read both of the threads, or just read the first post in each thread before coming to your conclusion? Because your statement makes no sense at the end...If anything Rob has shown himself to be the very sort of person I'd buy from in the end. Thomas on the other hand has shown that I will not buy, nor sell to this person...

After reading the threads it is indeed apparent that Thomas did not conduct himself in the best manner, leaving me to question his business demeanor and experience as a reptile hobbyist. However that does not let Rob off the hook if the animal was afflicted prior to the purchase. Thomas did provide a veterinary evaluation stating that the animals condition was unlikely a result of intervention by Thomas. It is also my understanding that Rob provided some sort of 30 day return period of which he was hesitant to honor. The entire situation seems suspicious to me. It is in my best judgement to steer clear of both parties. Sorry if I am unfamiliar with your particular forum, is there any advice you can give to bring me up to speed?
