Careful with that axe...
I'm surprised. I buy at least one full box a month from them, often two or three, and have never had such an experience. The worst that happened was a torn bag or large rats. But they were fine. I just put them in another bag. *shrugs*moreliamaniac said:I had a bad experience with rodent pro. They were fast and reliable but I ordered wenlings and received adults and the mice were freezer burned and not fresh at all. There were broken mouse parts in the bag and the mice were dirty (shavings, feces etc) I have contacted them about this and I'm awaiting a reselutuion to this problem. In the future I'll go with indiviually packaged mice vacume seal mostlikly. I really wish all had gone smooth as It is so convienient to feed frozen. For now I'll have to continue fresh killed.
As for the weanlings that were adults, did you weigh them? Their weanlings may be big but I have always found their product weighs what it is supposed to weigh according to their web site.
As for feces, a few bits of bedding, and some broken parts in a bag, well I suppose that happens. Rodents often do empty their bowels when they are "gassed" but not always. That there might be some poop in the bag is just a consequence of buying frozen rodents. I would expect them not to wash them prior to freezing, but rather to deep freeze immediately after gassing them. As a consequence there will be some fecal material still in and around them. Do you irrigate the bowel contents of your fresh killed rodents prior to feeding to a snake. I don't. The snake's stomach acid takes care of that.
I will continue to buy from Kevin and Kelli so long as they are willing to sell to me. They are the best.
